They are doing away with the old way of reporting sales so you wont be seeing how your sales are going until the new system is in place. That's why you are seeing odd sales figures.

As a non-exclusive they will now also be paying you as little as 2c per sale on their sub program and there's no way to opt out. I would certainly stop uploading any new content to them at a minimum.
when is the new system going to be in place?  and what about PP..is that still part of the equation.  and thanks..you basically summed up what i need to know in a handful of words

I've been a non exclusive member at IS for many years.  my stock income as been just sort of my 'fun' extra money so i never kept up with how royalties are configured or focused much on the financial aspect.  the last half of 2016 my sales here were incredibly good.  i read the news about the big changes taking place but honestly it's all been to much information for me to sort through.  I can see my sales on deepmeta and they are currently only in the double digits..typically by now they are well up into the triple digits.  id say down by 70%.  I'm looking at the stats page and don't see any Partner Program income.  So forgive me for being dumb but is the  partner program still in the picture? and if so when can I expect to see those earnings.  is this 70% loss the new norm?
as I've said i read the unification announcements..and still don't understand it.
can someone just tell me the simplified version for what us non-exclusives can expect and not expect.  thanks!

it's the future of micro stock. nobody apart some very big agency could produce something to live on with it.
photography i a chepa commodity, buyer can find free photo everywhere , and everybody with a camera seems to contributing to a micro stock . if you have talent and portfolio go for macro and high quality. diversify doing many things or become a instagram hero. other way better find another job and stop complaining of poor sales.

no, I'm not talking about a downward trend.  I'm talking about an unexplainable sudden drop-off at one particular site. sales elsewhere are business as usual. therefore your theory doesn't hold true to my original question.

i have a portfolio of 3700 images and consistent revenue for the last 3 years.  In December my sales dropped to a low that I haven't seen in 4 years..down by 30%.  I chalked it up to holiday season but now 11 days into January I see no improvement, in fact, I'm its sunk even further.  My daily sales are about 50% down from my average daily sales for the last several years.  Has something changed in the algorithm or am i just having bad luck?

Keyword: Sunny:
             - sunny (sunlight)
             - Sun (sky)
             - sunlight (light effect)
             - sunny - entertainer

Keyword;  America
               - The Americas (geographic location)
               - USA

Who has time for this when you have 20 keywords and 100 files to upload?

Take some time to learn Deepmeta and I think you will find it makes Istock the easy one to upload to. /quote]
Ive been using Deepmeta for years.  I'm not new to this.  i just really find the keyword selection to be time consuming. all my keywords get uploaded along with my metadata.  but then to go in and have to select a sub-keyword is so annoying.

Curious what upload method you all use to submit to IS.  I use DeepMeta.  I think the only other method in via their website.  I find their upload process the most time consuming compared to the other agencies.  their keyword 'sub-selection'  is so annoying.  I wonder if its even necessary.  often times none of the sub-selections apply or i can't decide if they apply.  am i the only one that has this problem?

DT is dead for me.
I will vive thme few months then Delage m'y portfolio if nothing changes.
I am tired to support sites without nothing in exchange. Less images they will have in their library, more chance buyers will shop on sites which pay me.
i agree.  DT was my 2nd top earner.  now..its sunk to the ranks for Canstock.  Fotolia on the other hand has taken off after many years of submitting suddenly in the past 6 months (around the time DT died).  i recently posted on DT's own message board requesting advise from the seasoned pro's who are earning and not a single person was able to offer advise.

So, besides the sinking sales what really irks me is their rejections of images which they feel are redundant.  often times i'll submit several (not hundreds) of images from a shoot from different angles and varying objects in the frame.  frequently they get rejected for being 'similar'. (even tho they are in fact different)  HOWEVER, the bigun's like wavebreakmedia (for example) who has over 360,000 images has pages of similar images...PAGES!  wavebreakmedia is just one.  sorry to have singled them out..  there or many more.  seems DT is kiss @ss to these big contributing agencies and killing us little guys.  just sayin..... grrrrr

« on: February 10, 2016, 07:32 »
My experience with DT is the same.  Ive been contributing for quite a few yrs.  its always been my 2nd top producer.  since the middle of 2015 sales have sunk and seems no help in sight.  i've posted on their own message board asking for advise on portfolio exposure ( as sooo many images go without views) and not a single seasoned member can offer advise.  leads me to believe there are no seasoned successful members anymore.  with contributors like wavebreakmedia who has oversaturated the market, i wonder if the little guy can stand a chance.

I just noticed that CS allows images to be given categories.  unless I'm wrong, it seems this option is only available AFTER the image has been reviewed. which is a pain in the butt.  does anyone here add categories for their images on CS?

Adobe Stock / weekly rank
« on: February 03, 2016, 07:22 »
so, I'm trying to understand how weekly rank is determined.  i assumed it was based on sales however my weekly rank was around 800 - 900 steadily for the last half of 2015.  suddenly it's down by half.. around 450, for the last few weeks.  sales on the other hand remain consistent to what they were when my rank was higher.  so there must another determining factor. i recently uploaded a bunch of images that i deleted before indexing because they were editorial in nature and knew they'd be rejected.  wondering rejected/deleted files are a factor in the equation.  any insight?

none of the files that i've uploaded in the last month appear in the queue or as incomplete.  in a blackhole.  can file be uploaded directly to their site or only via ftp?

I think they are there, but there is now a new way to access them. Its the same sh i t that happened to me and they had to walk me through the new way, which I don't have committed to memory but do have screen shots at home. I'd post them but I am on the road.
wow..i can't imagine the new way to access them.  i'd love to get info on this if you or anyone else here can provide some direction that would be great. thanks

I'd love to see editorial on FT also.  I've requested the same several months ago but at that time there seemed to be no movement in that direction.
