Veer / Re: Where are the sales reports???

Keep your pants on! Whats the problem with waiting a couple of days?

It's been a couple of months?

Veer / Re: Update on Stats and Portfolio Links
« on: August 06, 2009, 17:35 »
Not sure why it takes Veer so long to implement such basic features. As far as I'm concerned these should have been up and running before the contributor launch. Kind of ridiculous how we can't even see our own sales commissions without flipping page after page through our portfolio.

Thanks for the update though. Still disappointing news to hear that we will have to wait yet another month.

CanStockPhoto.com / Re: My first FotoSearch Regular - $19.80
« on: July 31, 2009, 13:45 »
I have had 2 Fotosearch regular sales this month, easily putting me over the $50 payout limit. They were $20.31 and $28.29. This site is really turning around and deserves a spot in the Big 6, replacing 123RF. In my opinion at least.

Veer / Re: Setting up Veer
« on: July 28, 2009, 13:20 »
My email was hiding in the spam folder. Perhaps those of you who also use Hotmail can find it there as well.  ;)

I suppose I will finish my uploading. I uploaded 100 when it was first opened but without any stats and all the site problems I decided to just wait awhile. Now that things seem to be progressing I will finish my uploading. Really hoping this becomes a hit to make up for the slower sales at some other sites.

157
I sorta split my uploading in two. Some sites I upload to as soon as I have the image ready, others I just let them stack up until I have a large batch and upload them all at once when I'm bored or have nothing better to do.

Regularly:

iStockphoto
Shutterstock
StockXpert
Dreamstime
Fotolia

Occasionally:

Bigstockphoto
123RF
Canstockphoto
Crestock

Not sure where Veer will fall. Waiting to see how it performs.

Still haven't gotten an e-mail. Perhaps nothing of mine sold.

123RF / Re: Sales at 123RF picking up
« on: June 15, 2009, 04:56 »
Very weird site for me. 1 month it will beat StockXpert, the next month it is half as much as Crestock. Always jumping all over the place. I've already earned more this month than I did all of last, but that didn't take much.  :-X

160
No idea why this sells as much as it does. I think its pretty awful and useless in terms of stock.

Veer / Re: Veer Marketplace Opens for Submissions!
« on: June 11, 2009, 09:06 »
I am in sort of a pickle here.

They transferred over 126 of my files from Snapvillage, but the keywording is horrible They are relevant keywords, there's just only like 10-20 keywords per image as opposed to the 30-40 that I have embedded in the IPTC data. As far as I can tell there is no way to edit or delete the already accepted and online files at the moment. But I would like to get this taken care of before the big customer launch. So perhaps the easiest way to do this would be to have support delete all my images and then I could just re-upload them? I would much rather do that then having to edit the keywords image by image manually.

I have a lot of new images to upload as well but I don't want them to get all mixed in with the bad keyworded files cause then it would likely be even more work to fix them.

Right now I'm just sorta sitting tight and considering my options here. Maybe you could weigh in on this Brian or Aaron? What would you suggest I do?

Veer / Re: Problem with FTB to Veer?

If anyone here uses FireFTP you can make it work by going to the connection tab and selecting "Auth TLS (Best) from the Security drop down menu.

Crestock.com / Re: CS subs percentage
« on: June 11, 2009, 01:39 »
I don't know the exact % of subscription to ppd sales but for last month, which was my 2nd BME at Crestock, the average sale was .56c for me. Compared to .58c for Shutterstock.

164
They are not really comparable since Veer is an already well known stock agency. I never bothered with YAY but Veer is a sure bet to become somewhat successful.

Veer / Re: Veer Marketplace Opens for Submissions!

I think I'm just going to be patient and let them work out all the bugs before I bother trying to upload or do anything.

Veer / Re: Veer Marketplace Opens for Submissions!
« on: June 08, 2009, 15:52 »
Bah. I like it all except the keywords that came with the images transferred from Snapvillage are pretty poor. Sadly the quickest way to fix this is to probably delete all my images and re-upload them with the IPTC data.  :-\

I think I'll wait to see how picky they are on rejections before I delete all my files. (if you can even do that?)

167
Leaf from where are you able to upload? I just did as you said and am able to log into my account on veer.com but it's not letting me go to submissions.veer.com with my username and password. ??

You are not right at all! I am a long time microstock photographer. But, cant we joke sometimes? Whats wrong with you people?

How much more must we hear about how little we make? I think we all know what we are getting. We don't need to be reminded 5x a week. Or at least that's not what I come here to read about.

I do apologize for assuming you were someone else though.  ;)

I opted in. Actually, I opt in everything. What is the point of opting out any offer or deal with these agencies. At the moment I agreed to sell my pictures for microstock prices I said goodbye to wise and reasonable thinking anyway.

Way to go... I'm giving everything away for free, after all that's what they want  ???

All these anti-anything microstock people are getting annoying. I assume it is the same person or few people just making multiple accounts to avoid the ignores.

170
I opted out. Lots of the images that haven't sold in 18 months on Istock are hot sellers on other sites and all are already on Photos.com/JUI through the StockXpert deal anyway so absolutely no point for me to opt-in.

Well, not anymore... SS has changed its search results and now it is similar to iStocks best match... I have mass of old images selling ;-)

Awful Zeus on the Olympus and holy bull's excrement, I just had a look. You're right. I didn't upload since March and I'm already at 40$ there today. We can finally stop feeding the beast.

Dear god he is correct. Images I uploaded over a year ago appear on page 1. When did they make this change exactly?
