DepositPhotos / Re: My depositPhotos account was hacked!
« on: November 08, 2016, 02:23 »
I don't know how they hacked it - probably because I used a weak password.  DP responded back that they had cancelled the transfer and put the money back into my account so it's OK now.  Cashing out on a regular basis seems like a good idea - I don't bother very often for the smaller sites but from now on will pay more attention.  lima, I hope you got your money back too!

Great you got your money. In the past DP was processing payout within  5 days  but now it takes 15 days for payment transfer to skrill.

For hacking account for website, hacker uses bruteforce for simpler password. For eg. password like john6459 will take only 1 minute for cracking https://howsecureismypassword.net/), while strong password like JohnMark@6459 will take 3 million years for computer to bruteForce.

It looks like your system has been compromise. Have you checked your other miscrostock accounts, email etc.
Check your system for any hidden keylogger, rootkit or trojan with good malware tool. Mostly if hacker, gain access to compromise system, he silently monitor and steal data like password, credit card no, personal information (docs, pics, movie) etc.  Today's malware programmer are smart enough and they are writing sophisticated malware.

Few suggestions for safety
1. Update your OS regularly
2. Update your anitvirus, anti-malware software regularly
3. Never use public system or public wifi connection for logging to your secure website.
4. Use on screen keyboard for entering user name / password to be safe from any keylogger.
5. Don't install untrusted software, keygen, patch, crack etc.
6. In windows, use restricted user account (by default windows install administrator account)
7. Never allow browser to save password by clicking REMEMBER ME. If you still need it, set strong master password for keeping those saved browser password un accessible to anyone, who gain control to your system
8. For safety from phishing, never open link from mail look similar to trusted one. In this forum some contributor told us about some suspicious looks trusted email from skrill but they were actually phishing scam.
9. Always type or paste or open from bookmark secure website ( for e.g https://www.skrill.com/en/ and check SSL secure lock icon on left side of URL
10. From time to time change login password and make sure password length must be atleast 10 characters, contain Upper Lower case alphabets, numbers and special character i.e #$%@
One of my online banking website, automatically expire password after three months and bank account holder who are using virtual banking facility have to set new password after expiry of password. Good practice by financial institution IT department for users safety and security.

Off Topic / Re: Urgent help on possible malware
« on: November 04, 2016, 12:18 »
As mentioned by other, you have tried all on other devices and OS. Problem seems related to your internet connection. Try following option.

1. In windows, start cmd as adminstrator and type ipconf/flushdns

2. Try VPN. There are many free and paid solution.

3. Download ULTRASURF from https://ultrasurf.us/.  Run it, program will connect to server and automatically open browser (IE or Chorme). Pase URL  https://patrickhlauke.github.io/recaptcha/ and see if ReCaptcha is working or not. If it work, then contact your ISP and ask them to clear cache and check above link at their end. ShutterStock uses SSL secure encrypted  connection for user login information but I will not suggest to use UltraSurf for loggin to your account. This suggestion is only for testing ReCaptcha problem for your internet connection.

I have tried it just for you and link is opening fine using ultraSurf.

If you are using firewall, temporarily disable it and see if it work.

Download and install shutterstock CONTRIBUTOR app from playstore. Login from it and check your account status.

In firefox, delete all cookies, clear history and offline files, disable all plugin, restart and try login again.

Test  reCAPTHA test, whether it is working or not in your browser.

The same thing just happened to me, and more.  :-\  All my accounts were hacked! On the 5/31/2016 payment e-mail was changed to another in Shutterstock, Istock and Dreamstime. They managed to withdraw money from Dreamstime, Skrill (yes, they hacked my skrill account too) and maybe Fotolia (I can't really see to which e-mail the money from Fotolia are going, but I wrote to them and expect them to answer. And I did not authorize credit convertions on this date).

elnacho, did you find any solution for this? How can we stop that theft? And from where do they know our passwords? If anyone has some knowledge about internet security and protection - we will be very greatfull for some advice.

It looks that there is some keylogger is running in your system, which silently log/save all your key strokes (everything you type including password, web address, your credit card no, etc) and sending these information to some server or some one hacker email. Check your bank balances etc.  May be some backdoor trojan (hidden software)  is running and hacker is remotely monitoring you. In windows, remote access is enable by default.

First of all, use clean system to change all your sensitive password including email, stock sites, skrill, online/virtual banking etc. If another clean system is not available then install fresh operating system and then change passwords.

In fact, there is no single solution for security measurement. We have to use combination of tools for this purpose.

Update your anti-virus: Many viruses created daily, anti-virus database should be update to catch these new addition.

Use firewall: Any program when attempt to connect to internet, firewall message popup asking you for connection permission. Allow only those application which you trust i.e browser, anti-virus, skype etc.

Comodo internet security is free and consist of HIPS (Host Intrusion Prevention System), firewall sandboxie  anti-malware, anti-spyware, anti-roottkit, defence++ https://www.comodo.com/.

Use key scramble tool, which will encrypt your type keys at kernel level and if any keylogger exits, then it will capture only garbage. One such tool is https://www.qfxsoftware.com/

Rootkits are very dangerous. Many malware and anti virus scanner can't detect them.  Rootkit drivers hook inside operating system and these program are not visible in many process viewer tool. Special tools such as PCHUNTER, POWERTOOL, ( GMER http://www.gmer.net)  etc are used to remove these rootkit.  These are free tool.

In windows, use restricted and guest account. By default, when windows install it is using administrator account, which is very powerful and if trojan/virus/malware got inside using this account, it can do whatever hacker want.

Be carefull about email with attachments,  keygen, patch or crack from warez/illegal site, torrent, activex or exe file downloads from porn site etc. They all have viruses, trojan, keylogger and suspicious software.

Use autorun from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx which will shows what process, services, driver, browser hijack etc are starting with your windows operating system.

Don't use many and untrusted browser addon or extension (firefox addon, chrome extension etc). These addon are script, which run by browser and mostly no anti-virus, anti-keylogger, anti-malware will detect them as they are not external process but run inside browser.

Never use computer for logging at website at public palaces, cyber cafe, friends computer,  computer at offce/job/compnay. Your activities can be monitor and may be some keylogger is running.

Never save your login information User name and password in readable format. For eg saving in word, text, excel, pdf etc format. Use password manager tool for saving sensitive information in encrypted form.  KeyPass is another such great and free tool http://keepass.info/. I have saved all my password in it and only need to remember one master password.

Never used browser password manager for saving your login passwords without browser master key password. If someone has access to your computer, he can view all your saved user name and passwords

Windows file systen NTFS support Windows Alternate Data Streams.  This can also be use to hide suspicious file in it, which can not be visible in windows explorer or any third party file manager tool.  Detail information can be found at
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/windows-alternate-data-streams/

FORUM
People discussion about their windows security setup, lots of information.

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/what-is-your-security-setup-these-days.111264/page-1517

I used all the above tools.

Adobe Stock / Re: Can't log in
« on: May 17, 2016, 04:49 »
During logging, when we tick mark "remember me", browser save this logging info in encrypted form in text file know as cookie.

There is another feature of browser which called  "saved login" or "autosave password". During entering user ID and password, browser show message for saving it. If we click remember then these information will be save in browser database and can be seen by anyone, who use your system until we protect database with master key.

Clear all cookies, delete all browsing history, remove any saved password from browser, then try again from clicking ForgotPassword, under Forgot log in info, type your email address and reset your password.

If still unsuccessful, try another browser.  Hope you will be able to change password.

Software / Re: Lost Adobe Bridge panel to copy and paste metadata
« on: December 03, 2015, 06:42 »
Agree with KB. The fields title, description and keyword are accessible from Metadata panel. Click check mark on MetaData panel from window menu, if it is uncheck.

I have also selected only title, description and keyword fields from Edit > Preference > MetaData > IPTC Core leaving all oher fields uncheck. It is very handy to view and edit only these three required fields.

To me it is normal

Have you succeed after google verification and entering user name and password . ?
I checked my account at home, it was working fine because I normally does'nt log out from my account at home.  But when at office I tried to login then I got this error.

Yes tried that but it didn't work. Could be a geographical thing, server problems? trouble with SS, is that you can't even contact them without a login, everything is so secret and so on.

We can contact them using email address [email protected]
