Hey everyone, I've been on DT for a year now with close to 260 images up. I've had images that have sold well on SS, iStock and even 123rf but are not moving on DT. I've earned just $20 till now on DT
Could it be my low acceptance rate? I started with sending them a huge chunk of my collection and most got rejected leaving me with a 40% acceptance rate. Although it's going up now, but could this be the reason for my low sales?

One strange thing. If your upload via FTP and then submit via the DT app, you don't have to fill in the categories (a little pointless in my opinion) and just submit So whats the catch? Is the companion app broken? Or will it take the categories later?

Just wanted to understand what images go onto Alamy. Is it the ssme as the microstock sites, so same as SS and iStock? Or do i send a unique set of images? Like getty moments and all. Have just started uploading here and got my initial batch approved.

Hey everyone, have been shooting stock pics for a year or so. Have made enough to pay for my cam and lenses.
Got hooked to timelapse some time back and am now toying with the idea of uploading stock video as well. Need some help on this
I've hardly done any post processing on the videos, just basic contrast and all using photoshop cc. What else is needed? Especially is an shake removal needed
I've uploaded to SS and Pond5. What others are worth my time? Also what is a good way to keyword and upload. I've been manually keywording and using an FTP to upload (can't queue multiple agencies, quite prone to disconnects)
Plus what else should a video newbie know?

In their latest mail they've highlighted that they are removing the tier based pricing to improve "ease of use"
Verbatim
Simplified RF Pricing We made significant strides last year toward simplifying buying for our customers and the effort continues. New, single tier RF pricing takes effect this week, further reducing complexity for customers licensing RF video and stills content ongettyimages.com.
Seems Getty is going the istock way after all

Hey everyone,
I've been uploading to Getty through their flickr link and have gotten a couple of sales over the past year. My last sale however raised a question
I thought that an RM meant that one image could only be sold once (you are selling the rights to use it), however Getty has sold one of my images twice now (not that I'm complaining). So can these images be sold more than once?
Second, i thought that the biggest advantage of micro stock was that you could sell the same image to multiple prople. So over a period of time the image might earn you more than if one person bought it through Getty. But if getty can also sell to multiple people then isn't it better than a microstock?

I've been trying to get 7 pics approved since last year. Have pestered people on shutterbuzz, got some awesome feedback and finally 6 months later got 10 images that SS liked. So, what is next now that I'm in Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

Hey everyone,
Was just looking at the MS poll results and it seems that YayMicro is the highest earner in the middle tier (even higher than 123RF which has just started giving me some money). So I headed over to the site and the first thing that greets me is unlimited downloads for a fixed price. That got me worried
So is this site worth getting on to?

Hey everyone, just got a mail from getty. It says remittance advice and " Getty Images has sent you this notification. > The following payment has been remitted:"
Does this mean they are sending me money or have they cancelled it? My paypal acc is still dry as a bone

Hey everyone, I'm a recent joinee to the crazy world of stock photography and am calling out to all other newbies out here (people who've been in the microstock world for less than a year) to take part in a race. Just answer in this thread with when you joined (rough estimate) and how many downloads you have till date. Let's see who can add 250 downloads to their present number in the fastest time. The race should give us all a boost of motivation and we can all share stuff we've learned. What's worked for us, what hasn't and how to proceed if you are not one of those already sitting on a 1000+ portfolio Cheers to us all, let the race begin

Hello everyone, just wanted your opinion on what FTP tool to use for uploading. I tend to upload the same set to all sites, so is there a software that will automatically and it to all the sites? i m currently on iStock, dreamstime, 123rf and canstock.
Since I'm mostly doing this as a hobby a freeware would be nice

Hey everyone, I'm a couple of months old to stock photography. Have registered to quite a few stock sites and was wondering how you pros manage to track all of them.
Is there a way to see my sales at one place without going to the sales page of each site individually? I had read somewhere that people were using scripts to do this (greasemonky??), if so then where can i find it?
Also is there a software that'll allow me to upload to all sites automatically. Sort of like deepmeta but which sends to all sites?
Please help
