"International Taxes
PantherMedia has to deduct a general income tax at 15% for all international photographers outside of Germany (15a German Income Tax Act)."
0,46 - 15% = 0,39
I just opted out from their subscriptions! After I reach the next payout I will remove my portfolio! They are so slow seller for my images, I won't miss them at all!

Hi everybody,
This month in Fotolia if I compare proportional for the first 21 days the income is 20% more than my best month ever
But the most important thing I notice is that this month I have not rise of the subscription sales!
Are you selling your images through the Dollar Photo Club?
I sell in DPC, but the rise is not from there as the subscription sales are not more then before DPC exist. I mean the sales as the number of sales, because now we have very good subscription sales in Fotolia as price. I think that about DPC we can draw conclusions for at least one year not now.
Deyan, do you know the reason why you have "good subscription sales in Fotolia as price" Because of all the contributors who opted out from DPC! All of us lost some money because of this! And now you came here to tell us how happy you are with your sales? May be all of these contributors are the reason why you make more money today! You don't want to talk about DPC? There is direct relationship between DPC and FT! People like you who supports DPC are not part of the community who thinks for the future of microstock!

DP also forgot the fact that a lot of contributors are buyers too and they stop buying from the hated greedy agencies!

I usually have quite good amount of FB deal SOD sales almost everyday. Since 27 June I didn't get a single FB deal SOD sale! Is there anyone having the same experience or it's just me?

No, the answers read like they saw the word 'subscription' and a number, so said yes and put a link to an FAQ.
There was just one sentence in my e-mail. I don't think they didn't read it. I'm sure they understood what's the question and their answer is pretty clear. Yes they pay me $0.31 and keep the remaining 9,80 - 0,31 = 9,49. This is ridiculous!!! Their point about the cheap subscription plans, when if somebody downloads his full quota they may lose money, is absolutely pointless. The average downloads on these subscription plans is miles away from this scenario and in the end of the day that's their decision to lower the prices so much not mine.

How do you know these pay out like that?
I posted this in the other thread about this issue: My question: "Please tell me do I get $0.31 per sale if a customer buys Monthly Subscription Plan and pays $49 for 5 images = $9.80 per Image?"DP answer: "Yes, you receive $0.31 per subscription sale, regardless subscription type. You receive your fixed commissions even though one image by subscription plan is $0.16. You can see that we offer various subscription plans, starting at $0.15 per image."

If more contributors complain about this they will probably do what FT did. May be somebody from DP will come here and announce the change in near future. There is no big difference between the Shotshop situation and this case. I'm a little bit worried about the fact that only a few contributors react on this issue now. Next week I will deactivate all my images and will activate them back only if they change this policy.

I will wait one week and if there is no change I will remove my portfolio!

A score of 100 = $500 a month!
This means that the score 103.3 x 5 = $516.50 reported average income for Shutterstock contributor?

Free is not always necessarily free. Many deals contain a free period... etc. We do not know the details yet. Let them work this thing out and then you can still opt out.
DT is a company they want to earn money - in the long run they will not give our photos for 'free'. And when they earn money they pay royalty - this is the base of our agreement. If it turns out that they don't I'll quit. But we are talking about a test period here. I am sure they aren't testing a business model where they give everything for free and earn nothing.
I prefer: Let them work this thing out and then we can still opt in!

Let's say this big buyer needs thousands of images a month. May be today he's buying this images from agency which pays me more than the possible DT future deal.
Of course this is just speculation, but when DT can't give me more info I don't have other choice than to opt out! They choose most of my best sellers for the test and I can't risk to give them for free to this BIG BUYER (who needs free images to decide if he wants to make a deal)!

"The purpose of this email is to tell you that based on the quality of your images, you are among only a few contributors that have been selected to participate in this test program."
What's the meaning of the word few? Probably thousands of contributors?! If you can't give us more info, why are you lying us? I'm out of all your Alliances!

I think some of the TS buyers moved to IS because there are much more files to choose from. That can explain the decrease in TS sales. I'm not sure if I want to have more or less subscription sales from TS and IS! I just can't stop reminding myself that they pay me only $0,28! They even don't count these sales as redeemed credits! Greedy ..............

I'm amazed to see some of the big collections are still on DPC. Pressmaster, Syda Productions, olly ...
I'll make sure next time when buy images they are not on DPC and are not from contributors who support DPC!
