Less sales, less royalties, one of the hardest uploading process, many refunds, less than 1% of my stock earnings!
I'm asking myself why I'm still uploading?
Maybe it's time to stop wasting my time!

So the wrong big sales were custom license.
The question is how much we get for these "custom" sales 33%?
Mat, please explain what was the mistake in the calculation and why we got 12.5% from the previously announced amounts!

Same here 12.5% left from the previous amount of my three big sales.
I expect from Adobe to explain what exactly is happening here.
I'm putting my trust on pause!

Goodbye big sales about 200 credits removed from my account.
It was too good to be true.
I hate when such s*its happen!

Do we see something different? I have a popup with new rules which tells that withdraw is 25$ but you have to wait 45 days and there should not be any pending payouts during this time!
You have to wait 45 days only for the first payout. They lowered the minimum from $50 to $25 and the last condition is the same as before.

Sales are very poor, thanks Canva for merging database with getty images.

Does anyone know what amount Getty/istock contributors receive from Canva sales?

$0.15 and $1.50

I miss seeing the stream of recent sales with $$ as soon as I lend on contributor page. I just want to know what was sold and for how much and when I can request the $$ (would be nice to have this automated too.) It's possible to see on Adobe, but I need to click 5 times and there is no way to bookmark it as the date get saved into url.

I haven't been submitting files over Adobe yet, so can't really comment on this.

Yes, and if you decide to refresh the page with the sales of the current date "from 7 February 2019 to 7 February 2019" it goes back to "from 7 February 2019 to 7 November 2018". I hope they fix everything soon!

Yes, in the last 3-4 months when I download from ESP the PDF with my sales I see under Agent column "Canva Pty Ltd COO / Portal".
So now Canva is selling my IS images but I get $0.15 instead of $0.35. And on top of this, these are the same files Canva approved at first and later deleted from my portfolio  >:(

SS knows when I upload similar content but don't know when somebody uploads exactly the same image stolen from another contributor. That's strange!
When they catch a thief why they don't distribute the remaining royalties in his account to the actual creators of the images?! I know it's easier to keep the money for themselves but is it legal?!
Another question comes to my mind. What about the customers who bought the images from the thieves, do they have a legal license to use the images when the creators doesn't get paid?!

I don't get it how all the numbers are rounded. If it's some % of what the customer paid, there should be for example 19.2 (or even 19.24). Something is not quite right, they should give royalty info for every single sold image like Photospin and IS.
BTW I don't have plans to support their new system.

Easy money for reviews to accept all, even if theyre a few pennies each.

Ss is broken, and no one seems to care as long as revenues keep on increasing
But I guess they are paid the same money if they reject the files.
I believe these files are reviewed by AI which obviously is far away from perfect.

They just like to keep the contributors money for as long as possible.
I hope finally somebody sue them and they get what they deserve.

Hmm, rinderart, from what you wrote 10 days ago I thought your opinion about DPC and your good friend is "the worst thing He could have done"

General Stock Discussion / Re: Video Stock Market?
« on: November 30, 2018, 09:59 »
Greetings.

A video effects and stock footage market called 100wa (100wa.com/en) reached out to me. Does anyone sell video works on stock? Seems like they have some kind of reward payment thing. They offer to pay me upfront if I upload a certain amount of clips, then my future sales will pay back this amount.

Please take a look and tell me what you think.

Thanks and have a great day.

Is this a marketing thread?
This is your first day here and your first post.

Newbie ports are pushed to the top of the search and established contributors work is pushed back

I do not believe. ONE single contributor pushed up for quite all simple search key? There should be other explanation.

New contributor having more visibility is not conspiracy theory, it's perfectly legit.
But why should be only one between hundreds, maybe thousands, it's nonsense and goes against agency itself interests.

Could this account be company owned content?

I'm sure there are many customers who search for the lowest price of the chosen videos or images. I did it myself in the past and it's very fast and easy.

I don't know why people dislike iStock so much, it sells.

Because they pay us just 15% of the selling price and a lot of other bad things!

They just throw dust in the eyes of contributors with the ELs and actually try to sell $1 On Demand images.
I hope they disappear from the market very soon and lose their investments!

Canva / Re: Submissions not being processed?
« on: November 07, 2018, 08:19 »
Can someone explain what rejected (S),(H) means, thanks

It is a mystery.  I assume S and H stand for Soft and Hard, with Hard meaning don't resubmit and Soft meaning you can resubmit if you fix the problem.  But since they don't tell you a specific reason that is hard to do.  I just ignore them and move on - fortunately they don't happen very often.  Actually I've never had an H before.  The one I really hate is if they send it to the cutout queue, which Lee in the past said might take months, years or never.  I had that happen occasionally a few years ago but have not looked back to see if they ever got cut out - I assume not.
I have several pending cut out for months now

I have several hundred pending cut out for years. They will never process these images, I consider them rejected.

Really bad start of the month, down about 30%

In this morning's email Getty sent a survey about Custom Content briefs. I took it to see what they were asking and all the questions were about how they could get you to contribute to Custom Content (or contribute more if you already were).

That says to me that they aren't getting the contributor response they were hoping for. In the couple of places where one could type in free-form responses, I pointed out that this was trying to get a custom shoot on the cheap and how to improve it was to make things more fair and better compensated for contributors, not just a bargain for the buyers.

Anyone else get a survey from Getty about this?

I received the same e-mail but I won't lose my time to answer their questions. 15% from $200-$400 is a joke, I expect at least 50%.

$100 to $200? You set your sights far too low

Yes it's low, but it's my absolute bottom if it's something fast and easy. If it's not I'll pass ;)
