I had the same problem. About 1/3 of shots misfired, and it didn't depend on how I tried to fire (button/radio/slave), and when the flash misfired I could only hear a "snap".
My solution: I just tried to push the flash tube (use clean gloves!) and it it was a bit loose. When the flash tube was attached properly, the strobe worked OK again. The flash tube must have loosened in transport or something like that.
I've had this problem in two of my four BXRIs, so I'm suspecting this is a quite common problem (?)
I guess so. One of the studio I worked in had this same problem, too.

Some agencies do not have batch editing i.e. dreams time. Some requires crazy amount of categorisation i.e. fotolia. If you could somehow bypass that it'll be great.

I had a defective bulb, too. They wouldn't fire at all but this one is still able to fire so I reckon it might be something else. I found a solution just now! It's a bad fuse. I replaced the fuse then It just works normally. Fuse was not blown. I don't know what's wrong with it.

Hi, can anybody tell me what's wrong before I go off and buy new flash tubes? I have two 500BXRIs they work flawlessly but sometimes one just misfire.
I can hear 'sparks' but the flash will not go off. This happen randomly, in series. i.e. somedays they work normally. On somedays one or both will misfire, just sparks continuously.

Can you recommend me a good dsrl + kit lens? My budget is 1300 dollars. Thank you.
Difydave already recommended the Pentax K5 II it's a good choice as you get more for your bucks, the entry level cameras of Canon and Nikon or mostly unnatural limited to not compete with their higher priced models but everything is good nowadays and for 1300,- Dollar there is a lot to choose from.
I think he should go with entry level Nikon. It's logical choice since Pentax isn't future proof. This is coming from a Canon 5D3 user. The new D750(well, 800 600 series, too) outperform canon sensor. The noise performance is simply amazing. Canon works absolutely fine in controlled light but outdoor above iso 800 it's a wreck. I love canon ergonomics but I might move to Nikon soon if canon can't get their next 5 series right.

It works but why do you want to make your life harder? Just get an entry level dslr.

Li-ion batts are not supposed to go dry so I guess that contribute. My 2010 ish may be 2009 LP-E6 still works fine. But I don't shoot as much as you.

I know one whom almost have that kind of revenue. It's travel images. Time and money involved is not worth it in unless you like travelling.

I'm already using fuji X-E2 for all static shots. If something moves then I go back to my trusty 5D3. Focus speed and operation is still below DSLR, level though.

Because there's a difference between a sharp lens and not so sharp lens. I wouldn't send shots taken 24-105L at any focal length in full size.

Resubmit and write a comment to the inspector ("It's a macro photo of LCD screen" for example)
It usually gets through the second time but I have to do this every now and then. It becomes too time consuming.

Shutterstock makes too much mistake. Every batch there's something like this. It's a macro image of LCD screen.

Nicku, I'd say that baby is overexposed, if you move the black slider up to the end of the histogram the exposure looks better. That's probably what the first reviewer objected to.
I find over expose/under expose concept stupid. As long as all details are available i.e. no clipping, it should be fine. This baby image is a absolutely fine. It's called 'style'.

I think image review process is software assisted. This explains why review time is so quick. Reviewers may sometimes don't even look at our actual images.

I have spent 3 days uploading 127 images after RAW processing, PS CS6 and cropping etc.I assure you it was a slow task as I am meticulous in what I am doing.
I used to do the same thing and submit 80+ pictures at a time per week and get random rejections. Now I submit batches of 20+ every few days. This way, if something get rejected for weird reason I can find the image much easier and fix the issue. Most whole batch rejections are invalid though.

Some batch is still inconsistent as of now. Must be a rogue editor. I'm only sending smaller batches for now.

Thanks, I know that 123rf does not import Content: headline, description. I'll try the rest

How do I get "description" from EXIF at 123RF? I've searched everywhere but I don't find anyone mention how.

I never shoot more than iso 400 on X-E2 and 5D3. It's a waste of time and energy for "mass production stuff" like stock photography. I do carry Gorilla pod though. Takes a bit more time to shoot saves a lot of time on post.
If you ever need NR LR is already good especially with masking built in now.

Don't upgrade yet. Get lenses.
18-55 is crap. 50 is okay. get 100 macro it's sharp on the cheap up close. Also get a tripod then you're good to go.

The grass is definitely greener but not that much greener . Still, you won't regret switching. The only thing to watch out for is upgrading. You'll be spending a lot of $$ getting newer machine since you cannot upgrade most components in a mac. My mid 2011 27" 2.7GHz i5 is still going strong.
