Too much sense of entitlement.
:)

It is almost worth setting up as your own distributor and buy one of your images for whatever it takes to get you back to 40%.

Hmmm...

In one word - prostitution!
First 6 months of 2022
I sold 662 image - for 354 US Dollars!
How did they go so down! Why do we still contribute???

I wonder how low can it go (below 10 cents) until everybody understands they pay too little.

So folks, tell me your number. What's too little? 9 cents? 8 cents? 7 cents? 6 cents? Not too low yet? 5 cents? 4 cents? 3 cents? 2 cents? 1 cent???

Adobe Stock / Adobe Stock Free Collection question
« on: August 29, 2022, 15:03 »
What' is selected? And what's the criteria?

I've had some of my images selected by Adobe to be part of the program. Is it something to be proud about or they just select something randomly to be part of it?

Thanks for any info.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: FAA now talking about 'subscriptions'
« on: September 06, 2016, 10:27 »
I still believe that FAA is a waste of time.
It's always the same "successful" people selling their art there.
No rotation. The search engine is tweaked in favor of a few selected artists.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: Imagekind: pay to play?
« on: May 16, 2016, 10:25 »
I still believe that the same people sell the same images on FAA.
If you're a new seller... good luck! There's no rotation.

Some people there behave like there's some kind of hierarchy.

In the forums there's always the same people saying that they are selling well... The newbies always trying to find out what's happening because nothing is selling.

My 10 cents.

32
Never sold anything there since 2012. Sold some images on Imagekind that attracts less viewers...  :o

That's not going to make any difference. A big "whatever"! ;D

Print on Demand Forum / Who Audits the PODs?
« on: November 03, 2015, 09:43 »
How do we know that we are getting our money for products the PODs sell and the traffic we generate with our affiliate links?

Can we trust them?

Have any of you tried to expose them by asking a friend or family member to buy a product and see if you received the royalties?

I think Redbubble is a good idea.

35
You cannot compare Zazzle to FAA... I have sold a lot of products on Zazzle and ZERO products on FAA.

« on: May 05, 2015, 10:59 »
You can't rely on its search engine. It's tweaked in a way your work is put on the bottom of the results.

You have to bring traffic to your work through social media or a blog etc. Ignore FAA's search engine like it doesn't exist.

I'm starting to lose interest in that site.

I've sold prints on ImageKind... A website "nobody" uses. It's about priorities: if that site doesn't work for you after you tried your best, then move to another one.

Fine Art America: The same artists selling the same images. Rotation is a forbidden word. Nothing I did about keywords worked there.

RedBubble: Its best sellers have a distinctive style. I'm not sure about its potentials yet. A lot of fan art and copyright infringement, and that bothers me.

Zazzle: My favorite. My best sellers are there. I like the forums and the tools.
CONS: after selling one product after the other with the same design and looking like it's going to be a "hit", some designs stop selling. It's like they hide it from the public.... for a reason I haven't understood yet. Maybe it's just my imagination.

Society6: seems like a POD that has a fancy name... and that's it. I don't know much about it.

I have sold products on Zazzle, CafePress, RedBubble and Imagekind. Meaning that I know how to use tags and be found and sell. And that proves the "theory" that no one should put all eggs in one basket.

Fine Art America is a different story.

Rotation is not a priority. It's a forbidden word there. It's the same people selling the same images with a few exceptions.

The newbies have to fight against the search engine that is tweaked in favor of some artists.

There is a thing that irritates me: I see Disney/Marvel, DC Comics and celebrity images sold there. That's not honest. I'm not blaming the company, anyway I think it should find a way to disable that kind of image.

Visits by bots inflate the view count. What's the point? Who needs to know how many bots visited the images?

I like the community there. They help you when you need!

All IMO.

My product stopped selling after the the "most views" option got frozen.

What do you think is happening?

Print on Demand Forum / Less Sales On Zazzle In the Last Months
« on: September 20, 2014, 10:13 »
1 product sold in the last 30 days.  :-[
Did they change the search engine or something else happened?

I have frequent sales on CP.

41
Thanks for the image, Borg.
That's exploitation.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

42
Is it true that now they are paying 2% of a sale if the product is sold "wholesale" (e-commerce)?

 :o

Print on Demand Forum / Re: FAA Launches Art Licensing

Licensing images has many legalities involved.

Pixels is trying to create its own laws.

IMO it won't work like that.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: FAA Launches Art Licensing
« on: April 08, 2014, 09:53 »
The other stock photo companies have a team to accept or deny new images.

FAA/Pixels doesn't do that.

Isn't quality important?

47
Probably the worst SEO on the Internet.

Nothing you do can help you to bring some exposure to your work.

I have sold my art on other POD websites and FAA is the only one that nothing I try works.

Its search engine only helps those that have already sold something.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: No sales on Zazzle any more!?
« on: January 20, 2014, 10:59 »
I had some sales in October, November and December... December was the best month since I started selling products online.

The sales stopped a few days before Christmas.

This January I had 2 sales (the same product sold twice).

I changed my mind. I think the title was too harsh.

Sorry.
