Anyone else noticed a drying up of sales since P5's 20% commission grab? My SS sales are steady, P5 is struggling the past few months. Whatever they're doing with their extra commission, it doesn't seem to be increasing turnover.

I'm sure this is difficult for all travel videographers. I could keep up when it was HD files but with 4K it's hard to stay up to date.
I have found KL and Singapore to be good places for fast uploading. Now I'm in Hong Kong for the first time with a substantial amount of 4K to upload. So far the speeds I've encountered aren't great. Anyone have any suggestions? I understand if this is a closely guarded secret as it seems to be one of the more challenging aspects of the job.

Alamy's short term bogus position at second spot behind SS seems to have corrected itself. Envato has taken up an equally dubious position. Obviously too few people fill out the poll for the results to be reliable.

I'm getting strong sales from SS and P5 this month, meanwhile VB and Dissolve seem to be heading south for a couple of months now. Is their honeymoon period over. I'm not inspired to upload anything to them at the moment, especially considering their pricing strategies.

Is Dec normally a slow month for footage sales? So far it is for me. I've noticed that Bigstock footage has grown from 30,000 clips to 45,000. Will this have an impact on SS footage sales?

Any thoughts on this new fotolia venture. I thought it was supposed to be exclusive photos but i saw one of my non-exclusive photos in there. I have a small portfolio with fotolia, I'd consider deleting my account over this new bottom basement club.

I just deleted my 50 footage clips from Fotolia. That's because after a trial period where I had eight footage downloads the average net price was $2.80 per download. Since I have around 1,000 clips on P5 and SS, both averaging around $20 a download, I decided I was shooting myself in the foot having my footage clips on Fotolia. I suspect IStock could also be almost as bad as Fotolia but will wait and see.
