but whenever you go inside and you don't have a heavy tripod which can be pain in the ass during vacation you're pretty much screwed. :/

Yep, that is true. I want to buy it especially for landscape when I use, most of the time, f/8 - f/11..

On the other hand 16 - 35 f2.8 looks just stunning, but I'm not that sure if it's worth the outrageous amount of money canon want for it...

I want to buy the f4 version of 16-35 in November. I have a 6d. The price is lower than f2.8 and I read that has a better image quality/distortion and so on..

Due to low sale, too many subs at the lowest price, refund policy, security issues,  I just STOP uploading there. It's a waste of time !

Thanks, so if you have USD account and Visa card you can get your dollars without conversion just for a small fee of 2,5-5USD?

Does this work just for Visa? Or credit cards instead of debit?
Only with VISA/VISA Electron but no matter if is credit or debit card.

I don't have a USD account. I use a LEI/RON account so when I withdraw the money they are converted in LEI/RON. The fee is 2.5 USD.

I also use PayPal and credit card (Visa). I don't convert USD in EUR. I live in Romania and when I withdraw into my bank account via credit card the USD or EUR convert automatically into LEI/RON (our currency). The fee is 2 EUR or 2.5 $.

I also earn more from Thinkstock than IS.. :-\

Dreamstime.com / Re: Do you believe that DT is dying?
« on: August 10, 2015, 02:40 »
Amazingly, DT is actually outperforming SS and everyone else this month.  It's early days of course, but the first five days of August at DT have already beat all of July.  It may be a fluke, or it may be signs of a real change.

They go up and down so much for me - I've had months like yours where they come close to or even beat out SS, usually my best micro site (though I have 1/3rd few images on DT), and then others where sales are so slow. They've been like that for me from the beginning, so I don't think they're dying, they are just very different than SS. SS is really the only micro site for me that's (generally) consistent.

I barely sell a picture in a couple of months.

Same thing for me   >:(

Yesterday I had zero sales  >:(

Welcome Dave !

Like SandBoxStudio says, work at beginning with top agencies. After, you can try with others and you will see the differences  ;)

Good luck !

Unfortunately I was refused.
I hope that in future it may be opportunities to apply again  :)

If you got responce to your Call to artist 2015 application would you mind to share when you send your portfolio for review? I applied on 07.07 and haven't heard back yet.

On the same time like you.

Also in my case sales are weak. Despite the fact that I upload new content weekly.  :-\

I sold images there with 175$ and it is nice when you see that, but it happens very rarely.

Unfortunately there are many thieves who steal and then sell those pictures. The real bad think is that agencies do almost nothing. They get the money in their accounts so they do not care as long they are with profits.. Those users eventually are blocked but all their money return in to agencies bank accounts.
It is easy to find on torrents pictures stolen from SS, FT, 123 and so on...
