General - Stock Video / Pond5's discounted sales price.« on: January 13, 2017, 22:04 »
Happy new year everybody. Hope y'all are doing well.
I see Pond5 sales prices are discounted by up to nearly 20% from the price I set. I wonder if I should raise my price to offset the loss of my royalty. They are doing this to increase overall volume of sales obviously, but I hope my sales will increase too. If not, it's a bad thing for us. 53
General - Stock Video / Shutterstock video submiission review very slow these days« on: September 06, 2016, 09:59 »
It used to be very fast like on the same day. Now it takes a week or more. I don't know what's happening over there.

General - Stock Video / Shutterstock sales growth year to year not impressive for the last few months.« on: August 27, 2016, 07:04 »
Despite constantly adding new video and photo contents, the year to year growth last few months hasn't been impressive. I don't know if it's just me or their growth as a company is slowing down. Maybe they are selling contents too cheap? I have no idea.

General - Stock Video / Are you doing better or worse overall this year compare to last year?« on: June 26, 2016, 22:04 »
I'm doing about 20% better this year overall as I keep adding new clips.

General - Stock Video / Pond5 membership program is a disaster for contributors.« on: May 22, 2016, 09:44 »
I think Pond5 is making less money overall with the membership program too. They should get rid of it. No contributor should participate in that either. It's a simple math. If you surrender your precious video clips to that program, you are giving your HD and 4k clips for less than $14 each. That's horrendous.

General - Stock Video / Anybody participating Pond5 membership program? If so, how's revenue?« on: May 13, 2016, 09:27 »
Has your total revenue increase selling for membership files? How many files? I'm not a part of the membership sellers, but am wondering if it's good for contributors to participate in the membership sales.
It seems like that's the reason Pond5's total revenue for contributors seem declining these days, but I really don't know. If it's bad for contributors as a whole, I hope they stop the membership program. 59
Pond5 / Sales slow down this week. WT F happened?« on: May 01, 2016, 07:49 »
I had the best week ever on Shutterstock meanwhile. P5, sales slowed down to like 1/5.

It's a good strategy to maximize your profit, I think.

General - Stock Video / Fotolia on fire now. Or should I say en fuego?« on: April 17, 2016, 10:01 »
Fotolia is showing a clear sign of video sales growth probably due to the Adobestock integration. This year's growth is accelerating now. I'm seeing 3-4x sales compare to last year's same month. Please don't tell anybody about this because it will "dilute" my sales. LOL.

Pond5 / Duration for the "STATISTICS" page under "Dashboard".« on: April 16, 2016, 16:58 »
Does anybody know what the duration is for the "STATISTICS" page? It doesn't indicate any duration for it and is really useless.

I'm wondering if it's just me not getting sales report today.

General - Stock Video / VideoBlocks sales peaked last year and came down this year. what.« on: March 29, 2016, 22:59 »
February and this month has been much slower than previous few months. I wonder if they are cooling down now. How's everybody's sales over there for the last few months?
65
Pond5 / This week, sales dropped drastically. What happened?« on: March 26, 2016, 10:55 »
Is it because of the new subscription package hurting non-membership clips sales? I'm very concerned.

General - Stock Video / Fotolia showing clear sign of growth from Adobestock video sales now this year!« on: March 24, 2016, 18:10 »
Finally it's happening based on my sales growth this year. I hope this growth will continue for a while for Fotolia/Adobestock video sales. Anybody else seeing the similar growth there? I'm seeing 4 straight months of rapid growth which I've never seen from Fotolia. It had been up and down slow growth before.

General - Stock Video / Pond5 sales has been good this year. New management doing great job!!« on: February 29, 2016, 08:20 »
I had the best sales ever in this February. I don't know what they did, but it's great. How's everybody?

this year I hope. Finally, they are serous about selling video clips there.

https://contributors.gettyimages.com/workwithus/ArticleView.aspx?article_id=688
or is it the same as iStock? Their price is very expensive like almost $5,000 for TV use. How much royalty does a contributor get? Exclusive only? Anybody knows? 70

General - Stock Video / Video sales on Fotolia/Adobestock are picking up a little bit it seems.« on: January 15, 2016, 11:06 »
But, I don't think serious media makers are happy buying highly compressed video files there instead of Apple ProRes you can buy at Pond5 or Shutterstock.

General - Stock Video / So, how much money Craig Lillard / Revostock owe you? Let's sum up the total.« on: November 21, 2015, 08:56 »
Luckily, they owe me only like $50.
That's only if their sales report was honest of course. 75
General - Stock Video / Nobody should price HD clip below $49 on Pond5 if you upload to VideoBlocks too.« on: November 17, 2015, 21:33 »
You should make a buyer want to buy at $49 on VideoBlocks rather than paying more on Pond5 or any other sites. I see some sellers selling for $40 or less on P5 while selling at VideoBlocks as well, but you are making buyers want to buy at $40 or less and only make $20 or less per clip while you can make $47 per clip on VideoBlocks. Minimum HD price you should set at Pond5 is about $60 if you sell the same clips at VideoBlocks too. Make your potential buyers want to buy at VideoBlocks at cheaper price than Pond5 so that you make much more money per clip.
