My sales jumped about 50% this month suddenly.  Anybody seeing similar sales increase this month?

My ranking stayed about the same, but little better.

His clips are very good.  Pricing them at $39 on Pond5 isn't a wise move for himself in my opinion.  His clips will sell at $60 and he'll make more money than pricing them at $39.

Maybe he's worried about losing sales, but actually he's losing potential income in my opinion.

How do you guys think?

78
I don't know what happened.

80
I haven't been able to move up in a year or two now.  LOL.

81
I get nearly $100 for a single sale of photo on Shutterstock sometimes without being exclusive, but the most you can get on Fotolia is like 25% of 100 credit?  That's only $25.  Regular Enhanced sale at Shutterstock gives me $28 in commission.

Am I right?

82
At Fotolia, default extended use price is 30 credit.  Has anybody experimented with different (higher) price setting to see if you can get more profit?

I think the default setting price is too cheap and may not maximize our profit.

Anybody with any experience on that?

Also, is there any way to batch change the prices of already uploaded and published files?

83
How about yours?

It's in terms of the royalty income I get, not the number of sales.

It has been growing slowly for the last few months.  I hope VB sales will grow to 1/2 the Shutterstock or Pond5 sales in a year or so.  It already surpassed the best month of Dissolve sales.

84
It's an impressive camera and actually better than Canon 5D MKIII in low ISO situation.

85
Some of my bestsellers really don't have many keywords (only about 15-20), but I wonder if I increase # of keywords on under performing clips from like 20 to 40, it may increase views/sales.  Anybody have experience in that?

Also, usually, I don't tag 1920x1080, 4k or 3840x2160 because it's obvious, are these keywords effective too?

This is what a great company does.  They expand the potential of stock video/photo for us.

The most money I got from a single HD sale at Shutterstock is overr $200.  They just work hard to get us good customers paying maximum price depending on their use.  Good people there too.

87
I've learned a lesson.

It's people who run a company after all.

88
I'm not sure if it increased the total sales at pond5.  It seems like everybody's complaining the sales hasn't been growing since the introduction of the public domain free clips.  If the overall sales hasn't been growing there, they should consider pulling out the free public domain clips from the site to see if the sales will grow.

Any opinion?

You get about $60 on other sites for a 4k sales.  $191 vs $60, it's huge!

91
I wonder if it was the same for everybody.

VideoBlocks slowed down in 2nd half of July to my disappointment.

92
"Available in FLV, WMV, AVI and MP4 formats for web resolutions and in MP4 for High Definition, this video footage may be downloaded for all kinds of professional uses and in different resolutions (up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels)."

You can get ProRes422 files on other sites if you upload ProRes422.  If Fotolia corrects this issue, I may have to upload all my files in ProRes422 again.

It seems like nobody from video industry is working there at higher position.
It's a shame because now the great Adobe company owns Fotolia and we have high expectation for them.

93
Not enough sales.  0 sales last 2 months.

Shutterstock, Pond5, VideoBlocks and Dissolve are the only sites worth uploading and tagging for video now.

94
Anybody still selling there?  Can a non-exclusive contributor achieve "Signature" video clip status rather than cheap "Essential" clip?

95
I like what I'm getting from VideoBlocks so far.   :)

It's possible that VideoBlocks become #1 earner sometime next year.

Power of 100% royalty commission is real!

96
I'm hoping it will eventually catch up with SS and P5  in a few years.

General - Stock Video / Adobestock has no videos?

I don't see any.  It's not good for stock video creators.

98
I thought video sales would increase, but it hasn't happened and now it's decreasing.  Problem is that they only accepted low quality H264 files until recently.  No serious pros want low quality video files when you can get prores 422 or motion jpeg on other sites.

99
It never happened like this.  What is going on?  It's a combination of very strong SS sales and weak P5 sales this month for me.  P5 was very strong last month but slowed down a lot this month.  What is going on?  VideoBlocks is strong this month too.

April was good for a new site, but it seems like the sales at VideoBlocks slowed down in May.  How's your sales in May at VB compare to in April?  Mine has been 1/2 pace in May compare to April.  I hope I won't have to pull out my clips from there like I did from other slow stock video sites.  I'm a little bit concerned.  Maybe VB customers are mostly those who only use free unlimited clips rather than buying our clips.
