Simple math. Pond5 wants to make more money. If Pond5 makes more money, total payout to contributors increase accordingly, not decrease. That's why they tested to see web size sales would have negative/positive effect to total sales. And we can set our own price on Pond5, it doesn't undercut competition.

in recent weeks. If I delete all my files, I'll have a piece of mind that there's no foul play like some agencies in the past kept our earnings and disappeared. I'll probably give another month or two before making the final decision to delete my files. We had a good few years with VideoBlocks at least.

This is actually a good news. We'll make more money from web resolution sales than Shutterstock. Pond5 should've done this years ago.

The same here. Sales just disappeared there in recent weeks. They may be on their way out.

I heard those are for streaming, not usual royalty free use. Shutterstock ain't that stupid, I think.

Does it mean they take 20% off from our royalty as well? If so, I don't like it at all!!

Customers aren't fools. They are professionals too. If you export HD clip to 4k/UHD and sell them as 4K/UHD, customers will notice it and won't ever buy from you again. That's a bad business. You need to establish trust in you as a brand. Nobody'll take your clips seriously because it's a fraud selling HD clip as 4k/UHD.

Try uploading again making it shorter or longer and as a different clip. Different reviewer may take it. They are inconsistent sometimes as in AdobeStock too.

Yes, they give me that BS reason too sometimes ""Frame rate / Shutter speed: The clip displays issues related to frame rate or shutter speed."". I just move on.

GH5 shoots 180fps only at 1920 x 1080p. How come you have 4K version of it?

We should get at least 50% royalty from our creations' sales. Don't you agree? Some companies pay ridiculously low rate ripping off us creators.

OK, I guess nobody sold any video there.

OK, I think I can say that Fotolia/AdobeStock is gaining while Shutterstock is losing customers. Probably Adobe convinced some big production companies/TV stations to buy from them instead of Shutterstock.

I cover the camera mic with duct tape to prevent sound from coming in.

Almost doubled compare to previous 12 months average. However, Shutterstock sales dropped yoy. At this pace, Fotolia/AdobeStock will surpass Shutterstock sales in a year or two. Is this the new trend? Finally Adobe figured out how to sell stock videos/photos? Adobe is supposed to have a huge advantage because all the creators who buy use Adobe softwares too.

So nobody sells there anymore?

VideoBlocks is raising their price. Dissolve may take us back again at $79/HD video.

What is IS? iStock? If so, I thought everybody left there already.

It seems like I may have negative growth on Shutterstock for the first time this year despite adding new materials constantly. VideoBlocks is also declining. AdobeStock/Fotolia sales are growing this year. Pond5 sales are growing at slow but steady pace as well. I wonder what happened to Shutterstock? They are losing the edge.

OK, I guess nobody here contribute there. Me neither.

OK, I think everybody left Dissolve when I left. No problem.

I left when I joined VideoBlocks. So, I'm curious.
