Sites that no longer exist / Re: Has StockFuel gone as well
« on: June 13, 2015, 09:24 »
Thanks Striving.  We'll see you around....

Fuel, for some reason my account has been deleted at Stockfuel. I was owed money as well. None of my images are there and I cannot login. I sent a message to [email protected]. Maybe you can look into this.

They said 2015 was going to be exciting.  :o
2015 not over yet. But.. hm the site realy needs a redesign at first.  :o

Are there further steps after the ftp upload progress?
Just want to upload and not more. Do we need to add category or similar time wasting things?

Low commsion for each sale (0.20). No bestseller of mine uploaded there.
Bestseller images only for "fair" agencys. Less sales but easy upload.

Just upload daily or or each week to top tiers. Upload once a month or after 6months to all others.
So, please do not tell about much work for uploading. Go to bed or drink 4 coffee and after that your upload is done.
The most work is to create your photos and add keywords. All agencies read metadata.
If you say uploading is too hard work, you do this part of your job WRONG!

Microstock Poll Results:
Bigstock + Canstock + Veer = similar to 123rf earnings.
Wouldn`t you love to double your 123rf earnings? This is the way how you can do it. This is how i do it.
I have a payout at pixta, at colourbox and others. Why should i miss it. They do not get my best images but up to 80% of all my files.
But.. if you pay for MB uploading you should think twice about it  ;D

Now I'm curious to what exactly is it about?

Looks not bad.
Can only get better. :)

I figure iStock will hide descriptions as they choose. The search engines will eventually figure out that the text is hidden and downgrade the site in the searches due to the hidden text. Then iStock will have to come around and always show the text.

I just don't have a prediction on how soon the search engines and iStock will make the circle.
lol  ;D they will not "hide" the text. They will hide the php code that generates the text.

37
I guess Top Tier does have mob version of their sites.
Mid and Low Earners, I have no idea.
It will be interesting to see the effect on sales from this change.

Checked a few low earner sites. Few of them are mobile responsive too.
Why not FT ?   :o

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia views climbing rapidly
« on: April 22, 2015, 22:10 »
never in all years checked the views

If you sit in front of your computer and nothing to do online= upload and try
If uploading is too much work (for example as hard as istock) than stop uploading.
Envato for example is super easy.

Photo Critique / Re: Stocksy
« on: April 12, 2015, 12:45 »
I would sort your portfolio a bit more.
This one is very good. Its fun, child, happy, movement, strong colors. (but maybe technical problems rejection  :P)

This one (my opinion) is a reason for a rejection. Whats the story behind?
Is this a bad feeling? sad? I do not see fun, why is the background black? Is the child lonely?
The story is not 100%. It`s 50% happy and 50% sad. Confusing..

General Stock Discussion / Re: Making The Family Work :-)
« on: April 09, 2015, 14:32 »
from 0:22 to 0:26 is very nice for example. The smile is very cool.
Do you cut the clip and sell for microstock?
I do not remember but, Ft for example minimum of 6 seconds duration?
However, well done, good job.

PhotoDune / Re: 10% approval rate
« on: April 07, 2015, 16:30 »
You submit 1400 files to these guys (who are they? - can't see them on the list to the right).  Guessing they are below low earners and they presume to dump on you, yet you very few on DT who are relatively decent, with reasonably competent reviewers and just gotta earn far more per image. Doesn't add up  ???

Photodune = Envato

PhotoDune / Re: Who still has a high acceptance rate?
« on: April 03, 2015, 10:53 »
I don`t care about the acceptance rate. I have a lot of identical images. At all agencies there is anyway only a few of each series to be a bestseller. As long as at least some of a series are added everything is ok for me.

The agencies who accepting everything, even if I had forgotten to add keywords, they are just low earners (empirical value)

46
"best stock site ever" "change the world" "lowest prices" "professionell"
and "premium" whatever. This is only a word for marketing.
This is no reason to exclude an agency and to be avoided. That makes no sense. But i totaly agree with EmberMike`s reasons.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Check your Redeemed Credits
« on: March 25, 2015, 11:47 »
Hmm that's funny (not). I ask myself now.

No kidding, both are right:

(from IS page)

Example: If you are a non-exclusive contributor and someone downloads an extra-small photo, your redeemed credit total will increase by 1. If they download an extra-large photo, your redeemed credit total will increase by 15.

Tell me how someone DLs an XS or XL, didn't they make the site, one size fits all? It's impossible!

I just with they get rid of RC credit and bring back canister level with every sales calculated and for all time not every year !

Honestly, it's just a joke anymore, with their inability to correctly count RCs, images selling here there and everywhere with no credits, etc.  Just get rid of it.

Sometimes MSG feels like a bunch of applied torches and pitchforks with citizens.
Sometimes I am one of those with a torch too  ;D
As is pulled on prices or commission rate and simultaneously sold on photospin (iam not sure it was this agency) with selling commission of 0.03:o
Then complained about low commissions, while istock donates only 25%. But 50% is the absolute minimum for new sites? what? That makes no sense for me. And more .. Stocktal where it is quite clear that there will be nothing (zero success). But then, all at once images are uploaded just to post (msg) 2 weeks later how horrified you are. And then there was a agency with actually 70% commission - and again a few were shocked (in a bad sense). Iam bored :(

Shutterstock.com / Re: New photos = no sales
« on: March 25, 2015, 09:38 »
So, again: brand new stuff still sells!

Agree, but old stuff doesn't sell as it used to be  :(

5% of all accepted images sell regularly for me (daily or weekly) . 95% not.
But I also have many variations of each motif.
But this value is same for all agencies. At least this value applies to me.
