If that's the worst you've seen I would look a little longer.  ;D

I+m talking about technical prespective of photo, that is, noise.

Photos with more noise can sell as wall art for a million dollars. It's only the stock agencies that have this hangup on noise free images.

It was the past, and I'd like to see those times back.. They could still select for images well produced quality-wise. But for example Shutterstock just gave up quality control completely. I don't understand why.

Now it's starting to feel worthless that i'm putting in time try to process images well, caring about noise, sharpness, tonal range, try to avoid overprocessed look...  Now it seems to be that I may be able to just upload photos from a camera phone.

Is there some place nowadays which would value if i'd upload only selected, quality images, and isn't Rights Managed or Exclusive?
Some agancy that focuses on having a nice quality collection instead of 100million images?

After a dreadful August and September, October is really nice so far. Highest RPD ever. But fresh new images hardly ever sell. Mainly selling images from many many years ago.

Also there is a bigger issue where some warning window or something would be needed
There is this button labelled "RT QuickMeta". I have no idea what does it do or how to use it, but sometimes i click it accidentally and then all my work in the selected file's metadata gets totally messed up. So much that i have to start from scratch. Is it's very annoying.. sometimes there is a lot of thought in properly keywording a file, then all the work disappears without any warning.

There should be a warning window coming up with that button. Even better an option to hide that button, and make it the default setting. It even took me a few occasions of just wondering what had happened to my metadata until i realized that it's triggered by clicking a wrong button.

Even if i'd find the money offered/work needed to be done ratio acceptable, or even good, it still wouldn't look like an acceptable deal.
If I can come up with photos even remotely usable for anything, i wouldn't sell the COPYRIGHTS for 15 USD/image..

I have a small feature suggestion:

Above the sites list there are the boxes to tick all sites at once for uploading or submitting. For the upload column there could be one more tickbox which only engages for upload all the site where Stocksubmitter can handle the submission too

It happens just once a week, not so many times.
It can save you a lot of headache if the program gets terminated incorrectly and the configuration will be reset.

I think it would be enough to remind me less often. Site configurations are something what i change maybe 2 times a year

It's not about site configurations (restoring them is not really a problem usually).
It's about other data (database of uploaded images paths for submitting them, releases database, balance history). Losing all of it will most likely be a disaster.

I see
Can not it be automated?  Like I give the path once, and it always save there after that without any windows coming up

Almost everytime Stocksubmitter starts up, it says something like 'it's been a long time since you've made a backup of your configuration settings', even though I do a backup every time. The message comes back too often. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off this warning either.

This extra click at startup annoys me a bit as well

I cannot submit or upload to Pixta for more than a day.

There is no way to get past authorization.

This Electron window (which is painfully slow btw..) just sits there and never disappears like for exampla after Fotolia login
yeah but it's Pixta fault I simply started to ignore them, they are such a small earner not worth the hassle anyway.

For me it's not the smallest among the agencies I submit to.
Strange thing is that Stoicksubmitter is telling me that some contributors have successfully
submitted in the last couple of hours.
I just wonder if i'm doing something wrong, but i cannot think of what it could be

I've started the program after more than a week of break and I was surprised to see that more than half of my site settings had disappeared. There are much less sites listed now.
Can there be any specific reason for that?

Alamy submission doesn't work for weeks. I'm confused, as the status report in Stocksubmitter usually says "OK", for other userts had succesful submission. I always get "Unknown authentication error"

I haven't logged in to Istock in like 7-8 months or so..

Now I did it. Where do you find reports about individual sales? I see some monthly graphs only.

I can't even see my current balance or all time earnings

no more stats like the old days.  They send you a monthly report, that's it.

I see monthly earnings, but no number of dowmloads.
Where should I find my uploaded images? What if i want to delete something? Or just want to know what sells?

I've looked at their terms as I have a few hundred shots of Australia, and may have more in the future.

For non exclusive images they pay 25% commission, but it seems that if you don't have some Australian tax ID (as i understand), they withhold 50% tax from that...

Last few months I had around 1000-1300 downloads and RPDs between 0.8 and 1.3 when I exclude video sales.
The process I see in recent years is that my number of downloads are getting less and less and earning level remains roughly the same.
I do photos, no illustrations.
And yes, the lucky big sales are the ones bringing the avarage up, but there are a few for every month
That's great. I wonder if certain niches are more likely to attract ELs or SODs.
I don't know. Still big SODs are too rare to see a pattern. I don't have any specific niche, I'm just uploading all kind of photos I happen to take. Ase far as I see anything can get big SOD, be it the most boring, simple isolated object out of thousands of others on the site or something more interesting, less common. I really don't see any pattern.

About 35,000 +/- 5000

So, $15-20k a month?  What are you shooting?

Shouldn't that be more? In recent month RPD at Shutterstock is around or over 1 USD in my experience
That is way high. I would guess you have a smaller number of downloads and have been very lucky.

ETA sorry, or you have lots of videos

What settings are you using for exporting h264
Bitrate
Max bitrate

Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

I usually set the bitrate around 150 mbps
other settings match the original footage

I thought a "hyperlapse" was the camera moving through an extended distance, like a walk through Central Park or something.  All the ones I clicked on on your site seemed to just be regular, panning or dolly timelapses.  Or what looks like a drone timelapse.  What makes them a "hyperlapse"?  I'm just curious if I misunderstood what that was.

"Hyperlapse: a technique in time-lapse photography, in which the position of the camera is being changed between each exposure"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlapse

Panning and dolly are changes of the position of the camera.

Keep reading though :
In contrast to a simple motion timelapse dolly shots, which are realized with short camera sliders; in hyperlapse photography, the camera is being moved through very long distances.

Yes, but that obviously happens in video linked in the opening post.

Just use Photo JPEG, it's a better quality codec, more widely accepted, and allows 4K output.

I had been using Photo JPEG for a while, then I changed to h.264 and not just the files I smaller, but the quality is way better. With Photo JPEG it was very common that an awful gradient banding appears in the sky even when the quality is set to 100%. With h.264 the banding is gone.

I solved SS MR problem simple and elegant.
Last month SS starts to reject my universal MR (modificated Istock MR)
So I take SS MR and erase everything where is mentioned SS.
This "no name" MR is now always accepted.

Is it accepted everywhere?  I'll give it a try :).  Anyway, Shuttertock has been the only site ever having problem with my releases so it's probably the best option to try

Thanks for the tip, I will take a look at it.
But I don't think I could do that modification to the legal text
