It is a horrible month for me too. Its hard to even look at. I agree that nothing new sells so it gives me no motivation to upload there.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock suspicious accounts "wackamoles" update« on: June 16, 2019, 21:24 »
It's sad too because it puts real Buyers in jeopardy. They assume if they are buying the image from Shutterstock (a professional company) with the proper license, it must be a legitimate legal purchase. They can use it according to the license terms but then get slammed with a lawsuit because they don't actually have the rights to use the stolen photo.

Nice job! Very impressed! Not sure how you can support DP though. They are an awful agency.

General Macrostock / Re: Macro/Midstock site and exclusivitiy« on: March 26, 2019, 12:04 »
Alamy is not very good. A lot of returns too.
I'm looking at submitting to ImageSource. Maybe you could submit some series images and see how it goes... Not much out there for non-exclusive on macro agencies but I can understand why. Good luck 106

I know it's such a shame they removed that.

My Feb was the worst in years. I would have to go back prob 5 years to get what I did in Feb 2019.
I think this is the new normal now. 109

That is awful. Aren't they exclusive too? Better off just doing SS and AS at that rate.

Wow, it looks AMAZING. Very clean and easy to use.
I would love to try it but my problem is finding the customers to buy my work directly. Are you advertising anywhere? 114

Keep us posted and good luck! I think the wait times to find out are much lower than before so hopefully you won't be waiting for months.

Shutterstock.com / Re: "It's not stock, it's Shutterstock"« on: January 11, 2019, 07:52 »my biggest hope even losing all my monthly income is that all those crap agency close soon and a new era will start....but it's a dream....i think what success would have an agency with the micro stock price, maybe double, and the quality control of stocksy.. I'm really hoping this too. I have so many images ready to be placed somewhere. It's so sad what has happened to shutterstock. 116
General Stock Discussion / Re: December Earnings« on: January 02, 2019, 17:27 »
Thank you for showing us your graph. It is scary because it does keep going down and down and there is no slow down to the drop. What will be the next chapter for us folks? Not sure, but I will miss those good days of shooting stock photos and making a living from it.
I agree that unsplash is most likely causing a lot of decrease. 117

General Stock Discussion / Re: Items for Resale or not? (Standard vs Extended licence)« on: December 30, 2018, 10:14 »
Just a warning, Pixabay has some stolen images on their site. Even if you think they are creative commons, they could have been stolen. A lot of my work is given away for free on those shady websites. It makes me so mad because people get the impression because it's free, they are free to use it however they want (Taking into no account they could be stolen).

I'm so sad I can't buy files like I use to. Does anyone know of a place like fotolia where you can just buy the size you need?

General Stock Discussion / Buying Photos with Credits on Adobe Stock« on: December 19, 2018, 17:48 »
The new Adobe Stock is very frustrating for buying photos compared to Fotolia. Before I could just buy a photo with my credits earned. I can't even select a size or see pricing credits for images anymore. They keep wanting me to buy a subscription.
Am I doing something wrong? I really need to buy 1 single photo for a client and it isn't letting me use my credits to buy 1 photo anymore. I can't select a size or anything. Did they eliminate sizes? Am I doing something wrong? Any other Photographers who are also Designers? 121

Closed my account on:
1. BigStock 2. DepositPhotos 3. Istock Left photos on these but no new uploads in about 1-2 years: 1. 123 2. Dreamstime 3. canstock ONLY submit new content to: 1. Shutterstock 2. AdobeStock Love Pond5 for video. They are amazing but I don't make too many new videos these days. 122

I've had some sales today and 2 video sales for $1.50. I'm still very angry about my videos earning $1.50. I wish I could opt out of that like EL opt out option.

General Midstock / Re: OFFSET, image or series exclusive???« on: November 08, 2018, 13:35 »To me the best is Westend61, not just as agency, but also the people there are awesome. There you can sell non-exclusive to all top agencies, while submit on exclusive base in Westend61. And they have the best search presentation as they have the best collection at the moment. My personal opinion... Interesting to hear. I was going to apply to Image Source next week but wondering if a distributor is better like westend? I don't know what to do... Usually with these agency's your images are in contract for 2-3 years so I want to make sure I put the images in the most successful agency for me. 125
