I still like them because I earn over $50 a month. Things are getting so bad at SS and AS that it helps my income to have a bit extra. DT is really going downhill for me though.

So no more opting out of "sensitive use" and "extended licenses"? The extended license profit was not worth it for me after they changed it a few years ago.

It is horribly bad this month. Never seen anything this bad in all my years of doing microstock.

I closed my account with them a year ago.

I really dislike their tax practices. This makes me upset too but they are not a big earner for me.

Very bad sales this month. 123rf is making more than adobe for me.

This guy adds the "double reported incomes" as an "expense" on his schedule C.

"In other words, I put the exact PayPal "1099-K" income, I put the exact "1099-Miscellaneous" income, and then all I do in my expenses is I add in a line, essentially an expense back to that client for the double payment, because the client only actually paid me once, and yet the same income is reported twice.

Therefore, I put in an expense back to that client to cancel out the double income reporting. Then, if there are questions it's easy for me to demonstrate in my "1099-K" this income was reported here and in my "1099-Miscellaneous" the client reported it there.

I was only actually paid once, so this is an expense that cancels out the double payment, which reflects the truth. The truth of one single payment sent for this amount without reducing the income reported to the IRS."

84
I had this happen one year but haven't gotten an audit. I reported all my MISC 1099 and put the left over paypal payments in the "other income" section of my schedule C. I did not report the 1099-K but all the numbers add up to equal the 1099 K. Make sure to keep all your statements in order so you can show everything adds up and matches.

So sorry this is happening though.

I was making about $80 - $100 a month, now nothing. Everything is going down for me. Tears!

Uncle Pete that is awesome your new images go straight to page 1 after uploaded. Yes, I can only wish!

Seems like a lot of you are doing very well. We are all going to have different experiences that can be the result of many factors.

Keep up the great work and wishing everyone a great season ahead :)

Thanks Snow. You are spot on. Been doing micro since 2008 and this year has been the absolute worst! I wish Shutterstock would take some pride in the work uploaded. It's very embarrassing what they accept these days. I'm happy I'm on Stocksy now but it's going to take some time to build a big port there. Been doing web design to help cover the loss of income from stock.

I really do love producing stock but I know that micro is dying ...

Nothing new sells for me.

10K a month is insane to me. I live in New York too.

I use to make a full time income with stock. I'm back to doing web and graphic design projects but around 35-40% is stock.

90
This is very exciting! I will definitely be submitting some new content.

I got the sarcasm.

I would also like to know if it is just a sub.

92
Nope.

Give it time, you will get better. We were all bad at the beginning.  ;D

Thanks for making me smile this morning :)

93
I had no idea they were doing this. There needs to be an opt out option. One thing that really upsets me on FAA is the watermark issue. Look at this photo
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/flying-pigeon-bird-in-action-isolated-mrs-ya.html

It isn't even visible.

94
Even though they are not reviewing items for some reason, 123 still performs the same (or better) then AS so I hope they don't leave.

Horrible month. I had to cancel my "affordable" health care coverage (bronze @$400 a month).

The economy is going so well but this year has been just awful for me. I never thought I would have to cancel my health insurance.

I hope you did the math on the tax penalty that would be applied to you for not having insurance and see what the difference is. (I'm assuming you are American)

"The federal tax penalty for not being enrolled in health insurance will be eliminated in 2019 because of recent changes made by the Trump Administration"

It's not fair to force someone to pay for unaffordable health insurance if they really cannot pay it. I honesty can't pay the $400 a month anymore (with 5K deductible). Even if I cancel my cable and put my student loans in deferment it STILL would not cover the premium. Sorry for the off topic rant... It is upsetting so I get fired up.

I doubt SS gave the airline the photographers contact info. The company probably looked up his name and found his email through his website.
