Currently I use 40, but I think its enought to use only the TOP10 of the microstock agencies.

Hi Jason,
Im also a newbee. I deliver my pictures to multiple agencies since 8 month. The starting phase was the most work intensive time. First I started like you with iStock, Fotolia and Zoonar. With the first sold picture I impoved my work and now I know what the market is looking for and what the agencies want.
My basic advice:
1. take the lowest ISO possible ever
2. use always raw format
3. get Lightroom and photoshop to improve and category your images
4. export your pictures from lightroom always in sRGB
5. dont use the saturation slider in lightroom! (pictures getting noisy)
6. use some workflow tools like mymicrostockupload.com (this saves very much time!)
7. analyse the accepted/rejected images (this also possible with mymicrostockupload.com)
8. analyse your earnings of each agency
With a few of month time difference on my first uploaded images I look to all rejected images at 100% and yes the agencies have right in the most cases of rejection!
I make a consequent rework of the rejected images and upload again. Yes this is working fine.
I had the same problem like you on Shutterstock. So I took the best seller of the other agencies and tried to upload. Its important to become a contibuter here because you have the best sellings here!

Hallo, unter http://www.weltreisendertj.de/foto/ habe ich fr alle deutsch sprachigen einen Vergleich + Bewertung der unterschiedlichen Bildagenturen beschieben, aus dem Blickwinkel eines Anfngers in der Microstock Fotografie. Vielleicht hilft es dem einem oder anderen von euch weiter. Oder ihr knnt mir auch gerne Tipps geben, wenn ich etwas falsch ist. Viel Spa!

Im a hobby photograph and deliver since 8 month different microstock agencies. In my opinon it make sence to deliver multiple agencies as semo pro, but when I doing pictures as main job than I would have a problem because the earnings are really small. I make only landscape pictures and I know the topic is important. I think its possible to earn much more with people images, but than you have more costs! Finallay: It depends on what you are doing.
Hint: When you plan to contibure your images to multiple agencies you can use mymicrostockupload.com. Then you have always the overview and can manage in less time your pictures.

I have developed mymicrostockupload.com. The advantage is that you can use it from everywhere in the world without installing software, you can use it from your mobile phone or pad and additional you have a complete backup of your images. You can ask me if you need more features in future!
