General - Top Sites / Istock Video sales royalties check
« on: December 14, 2018, 03:51 »
Hi everyone

I'm a getty contributor since 7 years, and i have always had just images in the portfolio, since last year i'm uploading some drone footages on the portfolio.
I was checking the video content sales and i've seen i've got few downloads this year but I cannot see, or understand,  the income from these kind of sales.

Where it is possible to check the video royalties?

same money each month from two years now...vs a lot of uploads = not so good

to like or not to like it's just a matter of personal taste....what makes me think is that shutterstock made a substantial change in 24h vs istock taking 4-5 months to change things...

the stats in ESP it's still not live as said in the contributor forum.... should be done by the end of this week (https://contributors.gettyimages.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6385&p=32#post67919), they still have few hours left i'm not so optimistic about that

the new ESP upload system is far better than the older...what is still unknown is which informations will be displayed in the contributor page i guess the total amount will be restored....but getty is slow as a snail lately

usually who writes BME lately is just because he/she has 300/400 pics and 15$ per month :D

Ok, let's test it. I see one of my files on page 1, 2nd position for "popular". Keyword "hare".

i think that the search engine switches old and new good-sellers through the year hence someone is performing better and someother not in the same period ... maybe those who said that was WME in 2 month will have back normal sales...but it's just suggestions.... :-X

my earnings dropped around 45% in the last 2-3 months...with sensible portfolio growth...dunno will try againg next year ...

I have a similar problem but slighlty different..the automatic payout is not working to me and my money are still on IS from two months...ok they're growing sensibly but is like i cannot go to the ATM and withdraw my money   :o hahahah

Resubmit...resubmitting weirdly works with all agencies lately

i'm in the same position. Istock sadly is still my main source of income (in microstock of coarse) ...my pictures there are selling good, i will see in the next months this philosophy what will lead to ... is just a little bit crazy to opt out....anyway septeber was one of the worst month ever for both Istock and Ss i should start to consider more "real" works
