I never try to understand the logic that stays behind our images being sold on getty via Istock...is such an esoteric matter to me

Pond5 / Re: Is setting 80$ for a 4k video is too high?
« on: March 07, 2016, 05:33 »
no is not too high

45
if is just a post production effect i would avoid that...in stock i just upload maximum quality and then if a choice of the customer to add any "post production" movements

Another story is if you are using a smart head or something like that you have a real movement....for sure movements are "attractive" in timelapses but is easily understandable if is "real" of an effect  :D

« on: February 19, 2016, 08:04 »
i'm having very few sales on DT ...i've just 900 img and around 15 sales in month... but i will continue to upload batches because the upload process is not so painfull

i'm "prolific" timelapser and i've to say reflex are a very good option (better than phones and gopro) for the simple fact that for the reflexes you have lot of standard useful gear that help and make your work faster and better...while finding good tools for phones and gopros is not that easy

here you can see one of my timelapses

That's quite nice. You do have wind (I assume) moving the frame a bit, but you can fix this in like 5 clicks with the warp stabilizer. Also some scenes suffer from flicker and some show nasty sensor spots. All those things you can solve very easily and will make your clips look more professional.

Which dolly do you use?

Konova K5

for the warp stabilizer, yep i've used that almost in all the sequences but i forgot to put on one or two (wind)....and for the flickering i've discovered a tool just after i released the footage... :-[
thx for the review anyway ;D :D

I wouldn't worry about it too much, remember our friend here:

http://www.shutterstock.com/portfolio/search.mhtml?gallery_id=1256674&gallery_landing=1&page=1&safesearch=1&sort_method=newest

I try to keep my portfolio fresh and diversify as much as I can.

This guy is working hard, adding fresh stuff every single day  ;)

The real hard worker, I have seen in lifetime.. Now I expect number to grow from 700k to 1.4M per week.

I wish I knew how much he's making.
I'd need to be stuffed full of the weed to keep motivated for what I assume are modest returns. BWDIK? Maybe that's what I should have been doing all along.  ;D

i must be lucky also with this guy around 4/5 marijuana pictures of mine are still in first SS page ahahhaahah
