Perhaps the company has been too lenient in the past on quality. It has a huge library now and if it continued accepting the majority of content submitted by its contributors the quality would be diluted.
If as the majority in this thread suspect, the inspection has got harder,i would except the new standard, learn it and match it .Simple.

Good luck in that.  We don't know what the standard is and seeing some of the rejects the top echelon gets smells of SS incompetence.  There is no pattern other than random.  We've asked over and over again for Anthony to define some kind of standard so we can comply and upload to those standards.  They come out and say to "just shoot better stuff".  What the Fk is up with that? They must be taking lessons from Istock.
Who is Anthony?
Please dont bring another agent into the debate. Thanks

trolling up a storm again.  Why don't you start a thread about how good the RC system is, [snip]

That's next week !....Let's stick to one interesting thread a week. The PP will grow and so will the money payed to those contributors who have opted in.

So why were your last comments there about your earnings collapsing?
I don't quite follow? I never got chance to post my June PP stats which a marked improvement over May 100+.I'm looking for 500 PP sales a month.I want to buy a dairy cow for the back garden.Fresh milk on my cornflakes ever morning would be bliss !

BTW PP program is pathetic, I've opted all in and there are only about a third on the PP sites, none have moved in months. Earnings are down as well, so I'm thinking of opting all out, but it won't work anyway, so why even bother...
You have to be a little bit more patient.Files do get migrated and Thinkstock will become the internets premier subsription site in the coming years IMO.
I joined the PP from the start when my nose was still the same color as my arse  ;)

134
Title edited to make the intention of this thread more clear.....The Partner Program.

135
Congrats to what?
he is showing his approval that the system, where by files nominated are beginning to show on the PP sites alot quicker than before....

136
Seems like the connector, the system by which our nominated files are migrated from Istock to the Partner Program, is now working....
I can now see another 40 of my images for sale on the PP sites. That's 1010.Still another 30 waiting and my London Lypse content will be added in due course.

The London Lypse content has yet to appear on the PP.When it does it will give those contributors a small steady monthly income.I see no problem with the arrangement. We do put our content onto the microstock sites to sell after all .....

Sigh.
Well you can't travel to Milan ,even if your name is drawn out of the bucket. The mafia kidnap rich americans.Stay home !

No mention of editorial on the Milan Lypse.Looking like a combination of photos and videos.
I can see the content generated from the Milan Lypse going to the Partner Program. If you dont understand the reason that happens now i doubt you will ever understand the connection between Istockphoto/Getty.
Puppet/Puppeteer?
That's just you being mischievous Liz  :)
A lypse is a winning formula for both contributor and company.I hope they continue for many years....

(I know you're currently in the penalty box).

Ah, that explains his sudden chattiness over here.

Ali! What happened this time? :)
As with my other bans i can't quite put my finger on it.The gatekeeper(Lobo) has his reasons.I said i would contact him again in 2012 and hopes he enjoys the rest of 2011.Enough said really.I will just focus on my photography.
Nice to see you on MGC Rob.I had a lovely chat with JJR's better half in London about you.Seems you are a nice guy.I must be a bad judge of character as i thought you were a right  tosser  ;D

Not many direct flights from the north east coast of england to Milan although a return flight is looking at 170-200.Hotels are not badly priced either 30-40 a night.
Need to know what the ticket price is going to be.It was $500 for the London Lypse. My ticket cost me 430 and the whole 5 day event cost me 1000 !
You wont see an instant return on your money via sales but well worth it IMO.
330 members put there names forward for the London Lypse.I will be interesting how many wish to participate this time.

I'm going to be in Fiorenze late Oct/early Nov, so that'll be a miss. Can't believe the short notice they always run these things at.
Ali, what did you learn specifically about editorial? (That's really all I'd be interested in).
Approaching the subject/person.If they give you there name, jot it down and post it in your description. The knack after getting permission is to not get a 'staged' shot.
My small wisdom on the subject, which i will try in India.Dont go looking for editorial/life content.Let life come to you !
Pick a spot(not easy to detect) and stay there for hours ,maybe days even. You will get a good story in photographs if your patient.
The Lypse will have talks/seminars  for the members who are drawn from the yellow bucket. Our talks in London were kinda special.I remember the Getty guy who runs the archive, telling us of  a buyer wanting a photograph of Jesus  :D

No-one seems to of mentioned the pleasure factor. If you really find photography enjoyable and stimulating you will certainly enjoy uploading your images to microstock sites and seeing them sell.It will encourage and inspire you and your work will get better and more productive.
You also need to view ALL your work at 100% before submitting to the various sites. It might be a PITTA but after a few months it becomes second nature with your post editing.
Also browse the microstock  collections to help you understand better what type of work  attracts sales.
