I was in India in March for about a week, luckily when it was Holi festival, which I have never seen before. I did mostly editorial shots. Very good acceptance rate on the sites for the shots and they are selling reasonably well too, especially on Shutterstock. I didn't encounter any problems taking photos of people. Here are some photos from the trip.

Anyone had problems shooting in new delhi.I'm hoping to be staying for 5 days in October/november.I will be shooting the tourist hot spots but also would like to shoot some editorial of the poor which begs the question,no pun intended,will i incur any problems ...

However, how else will sites find people willing and able to conduct reviews for the return they get?
Probably the biggest benefit for a reviewer is the education that comes with the job.
Beg to differ but the biggest benefit for a reviewer is getting payed to work from home, sat on there bums and looking at there computer.Nice work if you can get it ! I made a lightbox on Istockphoto called..Inspectors Delight.It contains beautiful and stunning work from talented artists who also happen to be Istock inspectors.Respect the talent and never question there commitment to there respective companies.

Nobody has questioned why the company has had to introduce such a measure?.
Ok so it's obvious but it's about 1 year too late IMO.They kept pushing new collections (Vetta/Agency/Exclusive + ) onto buyers with increased prices to match and there competitors have basically kept the same collection and with basic inflation rises.
I hope this new price filter has stopped the demise of Istockphoto for obvious reasons.....

Not sure where the thought that exclusive + files will fair better with this new price filter .Most of those exclusive files have duplicates in the library at regular prices !
Is this a better system than just giving the buyers the option to omit Vetta/Agency files appearing in there search results.I don't think so as those buyers would probably keep the box checked forever which is certainly not what Istock would like to happen.I'm sure they hope the majority of buyers dont even use this new feature !

The new pricing filter will be sent out to the buyers and i'm always a little surprised that so many buyers do not post a comment in the istock forums.
It would be refreshing change to read some postative feedback from the people who actually spend there money at Istock rather than some disgruntled contributor claiming there sales have dryed up for whatever reason....

I think Vetta/Agency sales will now fall with this much needed pricing tool developed by Istock for the price conscious buyers.
I suppose being exclusive you would wish it could attract new buyers but i'm pretty certain a few designers just packed up and moved there business to another microstock agant along time ago and will never return !

I am staying exclusive at Istockphoto for the foreseeable future because....I lose my crown and lose an instant 14% commission.I also lose best match placement on 1600+ photograpghs.So presume i take that hit and start uploading those 1600 files to another 4/6 microstock sites.How long would that exercise take and is there any real guarantee that my work would do as well with such a saturated microstock market.

Exclusive at Istock.December was my 2nd worst month of the year.However the money earned for 2010 was 4000+ which is kinda cool for a hobby IMO.

My Partner Program earnings are $40+ already and still not fully updated.Something seems amiss.We shall see if anything official is said in the IS forum next week
