General - Stock Video / Re: 4K with Canon lenses
« on: December 07, 2016, 02:34 »
I'm shooting with canon lenses using a GH4 and the metabones adapter. U don't need expensive cameras, invest in good lenses to cover all range of shooting. I am very satisfied and I do not think I'll change my camera in the next 2 years. Not to say that neither is worth investing in new cameras because it devalues very quickly and u can lose a lot of money. sorry for my bad english

« on: December 05, 2016, 02:58 »
yeap...they have not been processed yet.

I always stayed away from Dissolve but if they are against Videoblocks I might have to give them another look.

Yeah right :) take a look ...u better move all u're vid(s) to Dissolve, give them a chance :)))

83
Dash, stay calm man...Dissolve it is a joke. I start laughing every time I hear that name :))
... few months ago they refused my port of 3000 + (clips)  for the reason : " selling to another competing site" which in  my case it is Videoblocks.

VideoBlocks / Re: No sales
« on: November 28, 2016, 10:16 »
Great sales on VB and no refunds. 15-16 sales per month with a port of only 3,000 clips.  ;)

85
best option is to combine u're port 500 pics with 500 good clips = best results

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Contributor Site now live!
« on: September 21, 2016, 07:29 »
Hi, Mat u should change " rank" types. For pictures should be a certain rank , for video another type of rank and so on...I'm a video contributor and my curent rank it is bronze, i would like to reach the silver " rank"  but I have no chance ...need 706 more sales.
As you already know, video sales are not nearly as frequent as happens to photos.

Off Topic / Re: snipers shoot dead police officers in Dallas
« on: July 08, 2016, 12:12 »
Guns are not the problem, if you outlaw guns they would use knives if you outlaw knives they would use rocks! It's the people who are the problem so stop blaming the guns. Their needs to be  racial unity but instead there is allot of racial divide and hatred, thats the problem.

jeepers creepers... pixel8 r u mad !? Of course the guns r the problem. Protect u're family by not selling guns, close the gun shops,
carefully monitor the "arms" black market, drastically increase the penalties for carrying a weapon. Only in this way your families will be safer. U can not kill 5,10,20 or 50 people with knives and rocks.

I personally live in a small town of 150k people(in europe) and did not see a gun in my life,    I have not heard a gunshot in my life.In my town there is no gun shop and if you are caught wearing a gun...even with rubber bullets you get a criminal record and you risk jail.

There are a lot of people with mental health problems in this century which is due to many factors and you let liberty to anyone arm themselves ? believing that in this way you will protect your family ? you must be unusual to think you have any chance ... logic is simple more guns = more deaths, fewer guns = less dead

Dreamstime.com / Re: OMG DT does not need photos of BREXIT
« on: June 24, 2016, 04:52 »
Brexit is old news, better spend more time for the next trend

Not agree...Brexit it is not old news...Brexit it is unique. We'll talk about it much time to come, as the first country who'll leave the EU after 45 years.

In many countries TIN = u're ID number (personal identification number). For ex:  if i'm going to pay my taxes in my country ,
the form that i'll fill it asks for my ID number. U can try with u're ID number...

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Panasonic GH4 Vlog-L
« on: March 28, 2016, 06:43 »
Is anybody delivering stock footage recorded with Vlog-l for Panasonic GH4, and exported with  Panasonic LUT (VLogL_to_V709_forGH4_ver100_EN)?

The customer will see the diference between a log video and  a standard video, in terms of colors?

what do you think? ???

I'm not using V-log u can colorize it in post. There are many plugins for premier to get more natural colors.

92
It is stupid, why Andrew believes that somebody would buy plugins just to play or learn !?
99% of the buyers buy these plugins to earn money, I'm sure of it.

SpaceStockFootage - You mentioned about Artbeats, tell me how many clips you have there and what is the number of downloads (average) that you do per month ? ...if you do not mind and please explain to me their calculation formula ( Subscription Fees x 50% x (your downloads/total downloads) . How can you see as a contributor their total number of downloads ?
thank you...

96
Well the amount I get for one clip sale isn't really of massive interest to me. Sure, $49 or $99 or $199 per clip is great, but what matters more is the amount you get in your account at the end of every month. That's what your landlord, bank manager, significant other and accountant are interested in. If I didn't sell stuff at VideoHive then I'd lose two thirds of my stock revenue.

It may only be 'a few pennies', but those pennies add up to several hundred dollars over a month.

Yeah right ... look what says a contributor on videohive forum :

"Yarche  SAYS
Some time passed and it is time to look at the statistics:

VideoHive : 31 sales ~ $41
Stock X: 17 sales ~ $277
Stock Y: 11sales ~ $192

As you can see, the principle of less price more sales does not work. The number of sales at other markets about the same, but earnings is much higher. There are very few high-quality stock video clips of similar subjects and buyers are willing to pay more , so why VH does not use this?

I like Videohive and AE projects are sold very well.

But I do not understand why a good footage (not light leak etc ) can not bring me profit here?
Maybe VH should evaluate such work differently? It would be a winning strategy for all. "

I appreciate what you're saying about VideoHive, but I get about two thirds of my stock revenue from there. If I was hardly making anything there then I wouldn't think twice about closing my account, but I'd be shooting myself in the foot if I did so currently. I don't like $8 for a Full HD clip any more than anyone else, but I'm less concerned about what I get per clip, than the total amount I get in my bank every month. VideoHive may charge a lot less, but I get a lot more sales there, so my total income from them is more than the places where they sell HD for $79.

That won't be the same for everyone, I'm not saying that VideoHive are the saviors of the universe... far from it. Just that it works for me, so I'd be daft to move away from them. Not sure if that's what's best for the industry, but they've been around for several years and don't seem to have ruined anything for the other sites.

4 $ for a Full HD clip !? Jesus ... what is wrong with you ??

Alamy.com / Re: New to Alamy? Read this! :-)
« on: March 08, 2016, 08:46 »
I would like to sell my clips on Alamy... unfortunately u dont currently support FTP or online upload for video.
It is more convenient for me to upload via FTP, than shipping u once a month or every two months a hard drive.
Still waiting to see a FTP uploder on Alamy :) Good luck

This guy has 178558 images. http://www.shutterstock.com/g/Mrsiraphol He started in 2012 so it's 3700 monthly. It's not impossible with good weekly plan.

That guy has over 100 images of the same subject in different angles if someone want to build such a port...maybe it is possible :)
