I got a $0.05 sale too yesterday. I wrote to support and today I got the same answer as Josephine (it's a mistake), They corrected it now but their math is still very different from mine:
$0.29 before tax, $0.01 (10% tax), net earning $0.29.
Who knows what they are cooking for us again.

« on: April 10, 2018, 09:27 »
I received the email but Alamy's English is yet another foreign language to me, I never ubderstand what they really say.

Anyway, this last contract change is:
Quote
The latest version of the Alamy Contributor contract, published on 10th April, included some minor changes to our terms. Most of these changes have been made to reflect the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) policies.

Of course they doesn't reflect what they say, on the contrary, it violates GDPR policies but that is their problem.

What I would like to know, are there some changes in our commission?

What is the the difference between Alamy Distribution and Alamy Affiliate? What the he*l is affiliate provider?

Dreamstime.com / DT is spamming again
« on: April 04, 2018, 13:38 »
I am receiving the same email with the title "Easter is coming" over and over again every hour or half an hour, from DT.
It has a stupid image inside and a 50% discount offer. I already have 6 of them and over the night my mail box will be full of it if it continues this way.

Anyone else getting them?

I have 4 phones with 4 numbers, including land line, from different providers. I bought some and I got some for free included in my internet package, but they are all in use. That may be strange for you, apparently.

I was just curious.

I've had the same number since I got my first cell phone in 1998. A Nokia 6150.

I have the same number on my main phone (considered by me) since 15 years but I don't give that number to every spammer.

Then they were asking for a phone number. I gave them the wrong number, how could I remember which number I gave them many years ago.

How often do you change phone numbers?

If you use your phone - everythign is still tracked/etc. Just - now you are giving it to google instead of facebook. So pick your poison...
I don't mind Google having all my data, they have it anyway with Adsense and all their services I'm using.
Facebook is a real poison, people lost their mind shouting out to the world all their family problems, what they eat, when they sleep......

Last time I wanted to check out a link someone sent me, I couldn't even sign in, I forgot my pass. Then they were asking for a phone number. I gave them the wrong number, how could I remember which number I gave them many years ago. After that, they were asking for a government ID which was the end of our relationship.
Now I can't even see what data they have about me.

My only issue with DT was, and always has been, their "$100" requirement for payout. A low middle tier agency....it takes too long to cash out for most suppliers.
Not just the $100 limit, what I noticed that things (dls) are acceptable until I reach ~$70 and than sales stop. From there on it takes me double the time (or more) to reach payout. I dare say, they intentionally delay reaching payout.

Never been a big seller, but since Jan 30th NOTHING, nada, zip.....
Anybody else?
It usually ticks over.....
I had one small sale in February this year for 900 files but just like you I never sold much here.

Oh God, client not happy with a (micro)sub download..
Five month after the download! They do it because they can.
I can only condemn the agency, the buyer is just another slick guy.

For 123, yes, refunds are normal.  Doesn't happen much on other agencies anymore and never so far on SS, FT or Canva but common enough on 123.  Another reason why you shouldn't submit there.
Thank you.
I stopped submitting after this last "commission cut" scam but I left my portfolio there, for now.

I have a sale in red (image bellow), it is self explanatory what it means but my question is: is this normal?
They used the image for 5 month and now they don't need it any more and they get their money back?

Dreamstime.com / Re: Someone impersonating DT
« on: March 19, 2018, 18:39 »
I just got an email from [email protected] that has the name Nicole Kidd (Dreamstime) on it, sent to my account that I use for Microstock. Just a heads up, in case anyone here thinks there's really an Email from DT with the Subject: Past Due Invoices

It's spam or phishing I didn't click the link. I'll be sending this to DT now.

I got a long series of these also on the email I only use for stock and also addressed me on my full name which has an unusual spelling. It started mid December, last year.
When I wrote to DT for the first time I got an answer from the same Nicole Kidd (the real person) head of content.

In the  2nd 3rd email they said (the spammers)  that the money for the transaction (whatever it was) will be retained from my PP.
Of course I was scared and I've sent DT a second email asking that they should look into it because they must have a data breach.
I was also asking not to forward my complaint to this Nicole Kidd and then someone else from DT sent me this email:
Quote
Thank you for contacting us.

I can confirm that that email did not come from us, but is a phishing email using our real names.

If you check the actual sender of the original email, it is not [email protected] .  They have simply typed her name on their email.

They are just trying to get you to click on whatever they sent you by using our names to gain your trust and then your computer will be infected if you click what they sent.

Kind Regards,
I know that but how did these spammers get my email address that I don't use in other places and also my name?

Adobe Stock / Re: what are "Subscription X" downloads?
« on: March 16, 2018, 11:48 »
EL on Adobe is 50 credits no matter what price you put on FT. You get 33% of 50 = 16.5 - 30% tax = 11.55.

Are you sure? Mat said at this other thread that EL-s are 79.99, so which one is it now?

Adobe Stock / Re: what are "Subscription X" downloads?
« on: March 16, 2018, 11:14 »
Problem is that it looks like they are taking 30% tax withhold on adobe, and then again on fotolia site because it is only way for 30% of 79.99 dollars to become 11.55 (I explained in my first post).

If that is true than we have a big problem.

The license type is also strange, either it is a subscription or a XXL credit sale. Neither of these two are EL-s but the "subscription X" could be.
I am just guessing.

I know that when an agency keeps you in the dark it's not in your interest.
I agree with you but name one agency that doesn't keep us in the dark.

Adobe Stock / Re: what are "Subscription X" downloads?
« on: March 16, 2018, 10:59 »
question to Mat:

I got 2x 11.55 of those x subscription sales last few days

It's nice to finally see some larger sales but how can I get 11.55 for extended licence on adobe?

30% of 79 is 23.7

23.7 - 30% tax withholding is 16.5

looks like you took tax withholding 2 times because:

16.55 - another 30% tax withhold is about 11.55

how can this be?
This is not a normal extended license. Check your stat again and you will see that the buyer downloaded the same image 3 times (I don't know why).
My two images were not downloaded before still the stat shows three dls, so these 16.5 (- tax) credits were payed for 3 dls (see my second image).

Either it is some promotional package or something worse.  I don't complain because 16.5: 3= 5.5 is still better than no dl. However I would like to know what is happening.

Pleasant, nice, exiting news, I guess what you don't know won't hurt you.
Or accept what you can't change.
Why don't you tell us what you know?

Mine were 16.5 before tax deduction (16.5 - 1.65 tax = 14.85).
Today I have one.

License type         Subscription X
Download price    3 downloads
Credits earned    15.68
Did you have these before?

No.

Here, one contributor have this sales.
https://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/have-you-synced-your-fotolia-account-with-adobe-stock/msg508679/?topicseen#new

I send message to Mat too. We'll see.

I got answer from Mat: "This is a custom sale for an Enterprise customer. Adobe Stock sales pay 33% commission of the price paid per image."

Thanks for letting me know Stockmann. Nice surprise.

Thanks, I see that but Mat's answer was probably private (by email). It would be less time consuming to see the answers to our questions here too.

Can anyone please tell me what does "Subscription X" mean?
I got these dls today and I don't remember having them before.

On the downloads page there is no size like with other dls but on the detail page I see 3 dls, Subscription X, for 14.85 credits (16.5 - 1.65 tax).

As far as I know, on FT X size means EL-s for 100 credits. Is this some kind of pack of 3 EL-s?

Not that I am complaining,  I just don't understand.

« on: March 10, 2018, 02:43 »
3 weeks and still waiting for response from 123 support to my question about official commission rule.
I got a reply,

They have removed the 2nd and 4th Tier from the previous Contributor Commission Structure. This is phase 1. Phase 2 will bring good news. And they didnt announce phase 1, because they want to give a full announcement after phase 2, end of March
I am back in the first tier and I get $0.196 (0.216 - tax) for a download. I don't see how that will change in phase 2, so no more uploads to 123 from me.
