I have never organized my words on AdobeStock. It is still my second best site for selling images. Maybe I would get better sells if I did but I still get sells daily.

They spent way to long with my images on hold. I think it was over a year. They are simple not transparent on their terms. Mostly just a gut feeling they are not here to stay. I deleted over 2000 images, maybe a mistake but made me fell warm and fuzzy to delete and get away.

Closed my account with these folks. I do not trust this company.

It is a low earner for me but I do make weekly and daily sales their. Most of the sales are under 50 cents each but they all add up at the end of the year.

I get one to three Benjamin's a month from them. That's good walking around money for me.

Sammy most of the time on Alamy I get 3-4 sales a month for 4-22 dollars each. These two sales are very rare for me.

Not sure what is going on at Alamy but I hope it continues. Last week I got a 600 dollar sale and today I got a 300 dollar sale. I have never had this much at Alamy but thank you Alamy.

I had my largest sell ever on Alamy this month for 600 bucks. Not even what I would call a good pic. Maybe bad is the way to go...

General Stock Discussion / Re: EyeEm
« on: January 18, 2019, 13:32 »
I have images on EyeEm. About half of my images are on EyeEm and the other half are on the EyeEm partners. It seems for me the only sales I get are from the partners. I have never had any sales on the EyeEm only. The sales are fairly good on the partner sites.

I had about 1200 images on them. I got one sale in two years. Pull all the images last year.

Jo Ann I do think you for your advice. This my be a mistake for me but not my first. I looked at the images they have on line and they are quite good. If you have not looked at their site you should. I don't know who the other photographers are but clearly a lot of top shelf work. Stock photography is clearly not a team sport but one artist at a time. One image one sale at a time.

Proud to be a scab, it is America the free. So far no one has cheated me....I guess you that call me a scab should start a Photo Union. I hear the unions are doing great these days.

I guess I am the odd man out , but I have images on Onepixel. I get sells almost everyday and now have got some EL sales which are 28.00 each. Maybe I get screwed down the road but for now a sale is a sale.

242
I had them delete my images after they told me that it would be sometime next spring when my images would be reviewed. I said thank you but your organization is not one I want to be a part of.

General Stock Discussion / Re: 1000 Image Rule
« on: November 18, 2018, 19:49 »
Call me paranoid but if I don't get sales I just don't trust the small agencies/sites. I have left some of my images for a year or so and still no sales. The same is not true for the big agencies as I do get  good sales from time to time. I still like to experiment/mining on the little ones as sometimes , not often you find a little gold. Canstock is one that I do get small sales, maybe 15-40 bucks a month.

Two months may be to little time . I have left images on some of these small sites for a couple years and still no sales. So for me the two months rule is my test  sample hole. I was also on Panther for maybe three years with 2000 images and virtually no sales. Maybe I just need a new lens.

About 90 % of the new sites are losers for not selling but 10% do sell. Yes lots of work but less work than taking the pictures as they are in the can and ready to go. I still wonder if some of these little sites actually record true what they sell. If they are on the true and blue I really don't see how they can stay in business.

General Stock Discussion / 1000 Image Rule
« on: November 18, 2018, 13:20 »
I read this all the time, is this new site any good. This is what I have been doing for a few years to test out sites. Yes I have tried almost all of them.( Most of the sites are losers) I do what I call picture mining. Kind of like testing for gold in thoir hills. I put 1000 images on a site in a two month time frame. If I have not had any sells in three months I drop the site. If I have one or two sells I will let it run for a couple of months more and then if no more sales I will conclude the site is useless. Just an idea for anyone interested.

248
I have been doing stock now for about 13 years . I have been on just about all the agencies out there at one time or another. I have drooped a lot of sites over the years. For me no difference in sales one way or another by dropping them. It just saves me time to not upload on useless sites. I am still not sure if some of these sites  are on the up and up for recording sales. I think after doing this for a while people simply go to a site they are formulary with and buy what they like or need. I do not think people or companies shop around for the best buy or even the best image. My wife at one time bought images for a large DOD contractor. She bought from IStock. Why, because that was the only account her company had to buy stock from.

their terms say you assert you have any possible releases for ALL images you upload ad must supply them on request - which means, exterior shots, automobile and other trademarked designs, etc that most agencies accept could make you vulnerable - they never replied to my request for clarification.

Most photographers are broke and no one is going to sue a broke photographer.
