i spoke to them, seem genuine, but whatever, everybody has made their mind up on the back of a russian youtube video, lol

Didnt they also tell you that they had no connection to Freepik, which they clearly do (founded by one of the main guys at Freepik and have Freepik associates giving the only endorsements)?

My assessment isnt to do with the video (aside from that helping expose the connections to the Freepik ambassadors). A 2 minute look at their website should have alarm bells ringing for anyone.

i said they had nothing to do with freepik, in other words, your images do not go up on freepik and they are not looking to give your images away for free. what they do is, look at agencies where you are NOT selling yet and add your images to their portfolio for that agency and you get paid for sales. of course with a middle man you get less than selling direct, but if your images are not with an agency you make nothing. ,

anyway, i think they are legit, just dont want to handover my personal data to them in light of the recent events at 123,

If you are interested to increase your incomes
Do you have a guarantee on that?

oh come off it, no agency guarantees anything, so why would you look for guarantes from them, you've been shafted at istock and alamy a zillion times, you're still with them

people do love to moan dont they, i think for once it is a bit of good news

potato potato, insinuation then without any backing

found a video by a russian guy on youtube saying that it's a scam. Can't understand a word he's saying but you can see from the email texts in the video he has tried to correspond with Vecpho - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImfMzF5UDKI
Think my suspicion was 100% correct

this was debunked, as that particular artist had unreasonable demands for committing his portfolio, and when they refused he started a slander campaign,

32
Humm VECPHO ? Vector soup? 🤔
Sounds Vietnamese?

they are based in spain

33
VecPHO looks like a Freepik offshoot. I guess they're trying to recruit a maximum of creatives to further expand their network.
Manuel Fernandez - https://www.freepik.com/blog/freepik-company-appoints-manuel-fernandez-as-coo/

they have nothing to do with freepik

"Ok, so just to clarify, based on what you've told us... your account was actually closed because you have eight different accounts, have been buying your own content, have moved countries 20 times in the last year, you got a bunch of DMCA requests on your content, you now live in North Korea, you have 50 other people with SS accounts using your laptop to log in, you have an approval rating of less than 0.1%, your content is made up of blurred stills from ramdon videos that you found off the internet, and you specifically asked for your account to be closed?"

"Yeah, that's right"

Exactly!  :)

you just follow the masses

stock photographers acting like fbi agents, 'there is more to the story here', dissecting every word, never seen a more distrusting bunch of people than on photography forums, and ganging up on people as well, why is it that stock photographers have such crappy personalities..
,
pfft

It's usually because when somebody says something along the lines of 'my account has been closed for no reason', aside from a few very rare exceptions.... there is always, usually without fail, almost every single time... a reason. A reason which only becomes apparent later in the thread when information is provided that wasn't initially. So while it would be nice to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and go with the premise that there actually is 'no reason' it usually saves a bit of time to question what they're saying.

A random example for you...

"My account was closed for no reason"

100 questions and replies later...

"Yeah, that's right"

but that isnt the case here though, the account was closed due to an error, yet here you are thinking something MUST be wrong with the OPs story, the mistrust is obvious. it has to be the photographers fault, cant be the agency

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Sftp 10x slower than with Ftp

better security could mean slower speeds, and that make sense if you think about it

That's really horrible, more humiliating than to be a slave.
oh behave will you. what a really dumb comment that is

44
probably a flash thing why its not working  ;D ;D ;D ;D

45
How about Adobe provides a list of supported FTP clients, at least for Mac & Windows, although possibly there may be some Linux users out there?

Rather than have contributors guess, have a list of software and when changes are made the Adobe end, test against those to make sure they work.

Meantime I can upload via the web

stop talking sense

46
my size theory is not it, i tested it

could it be that he uploads an image and then have bots click on the image and maybe download a few from a buyer account to propel them to teh first spot??,

47
I tried something simple to check if it is the keywords or the title:
(a) Original image from OlegRi: https://www.shutterstock.com/de/image-photo/red-white-rose-on-black-background-1589147812
(b) My image submitted with the exact same keywords and title: https://www.shutterstock.com/de/image-photo/red-white-rose-on-black-background-1961404534

Results:
(a) OlegRi's images is very high if you look for flowers or rose
(b) My image cannot be found within the first thousands of images

So its not the keywords nor the title...

your image has smaller resolution, try submitting the same size image, or larger even, and see what happens

48
check out the sizes of this photos, he has the largest resolution for most photos in any search, tree 7157 4774px, beach 6000x4000px but the rest is smaller. i believe shutterstock favours bigger larger resolution. i think one of their blogs says to submit the largest resolution possible. not sure if thats why, but could be one of the reasons.

Canva / Re: Canva, what's the plan now?

See these profiles  ???

https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/emily-ensley

https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/eliza-nicholas

And the same photo:

https://fineartamerica.com/featured/manarola-rose-bergquist.html

https://fineartamerica.com/featured/manarola-eliza-nicholas.html

...

But the original photography was this one by Dominic Kamp: https://www.dominickamp.de/?portfolio=manarola-night

It seems to me that there is no copyright control of the images ...

> 5000 images and tons of copyright infringement ...  :o

yes this is commonplace for faa to allow for copyright infringment, and thousands of contribs make their money on faa that way, reporting it to faa does nothing, they dont give a feck, report it to the original artist, they will issue a dmca and then faa has to take it down.
