VideoBlocks / Many refunds at videoblocks (smells bad)
« on: February 17, 2016, 14:55 »
I wanted to ask tou guys if you had this experience with videoblocks.
I am 6 months contributor at videoblocks and i had more then 10 refunds which inever had on any other agencies?
I start to fill that something is weird and so good.
I satrted with conspiracy theories that maybe they are saying to me that i have refund but they are keeping the money to themselves and basically no one can really know if ther was realy refund.
In all 5 years that i am in this industry i had maybe 2-3 refunds on all the sites together
Can someone calm me and say that i am just paranoid?

I am in the industry for 5 years and still didn't get how ss pays me every sale with different amount.
When i started submitting to ss i saw the list of royalties and it says 23.70$ per hd clip.
95% of my sales are not this amount.
Every time its 20.3 or 19.7 or something like this.
I never understood how they calculate my sales.
And last week i had one sale of hd clip and i got 96$!!!
Its not that I complain but i really dont get the system.
Can someone explain how it works?
Because when i asked ss this question they didnt gave me any answer.

Take few shots and mixed them using dissolve effect play with time stretch tool and you have long and interesting clip

Don't waste your time on dt. Go directly to ss pond5 and vb.
For every 100 sales at pond5 or ss i have maybe 1 sale at dt. And i have the same portfolio on all of the agencies

VideoHive / Videohive- you dont deserve my work
« on: January 07, 2016, 13:04 »
For years i am trying to get into the "exclusive" videohive marketplace. Made large packages with high quality files for few bucks.
They will reject 95% of your pirtfolio but when they aprroving something your feeling is "wow i am realy good"
Well enough is enough.
I removed allmost all of my portfolio from videohive even that I worked hard for years to expand my portfolio there.
They are pretending that they are not stock footage site but only platform.
They are taking 66% from your sale
They are rejecting your work even if the same files are making so much money and success on other sites.
They give the pricie for your work.
But they dont take responsibility for the client.
Its never to late to open your eyes.

VideoHive / Decided to remove 50% from my portfolio at videohive
« on: January 02, 2016, 09:52 »
I removed all my hd files since they sell the hd files with 8$ and i get only 3$ while at videoblocks i get 42$ fot the same file.
I have to say that i had decent sales at videohive but i think that they are doing damage to the stock industry with such low prices. I think maybe to remove all my portfolio since they charge 4k files with only 25$.
But i will wait with such a drastic move.
What do you think?

Vb getting bigger every day. It will take months if not years to compete with ss but i believe that ss will need to change their thinking in the near future and to offer more to their contributors

To get 42$ per hd clip at vb is much more than the 23.7$ from shutter stock it is simple math thats why i work at first priority with vb and put aside ss and p5. Those agencies must see that we are working with agencies who apriciate us and pays us high royalties. Only then maybe ss will wake up and start paying here contributors at least 50%.

VideoBlocks / We need to help videoblocks to grow
« on: December 14, 2015, 11:41 »
I think videoblocks is once in a decade site that pays the contributor 100% from sales.
We need to put all the effort to make them grow so other sites will see that we the contributors are the most valuable assets for them and they must pay us much more than 20/30/50 %
Without us they are nobody.
I must say that i had untill now such a positive experience with videoblocks. The staff talk to you like ahunan been and not like anunber.
They pay your earnings on rhe 15th without deelays.
They are absolutely great.
Its anout time to say the big agencies like shutter/getty/pond5 "there's anew player in this game"
