By chance I came across this article on wine from June last year in the Smithsonian magazine:

I think that their use of a free photo from Pixabay (pity that the meniscus of the wine is not horizontal!) also tells us that decining sales of traditional microstock may also have to do with 'free'. Before 'free', reputable magazines relied on SS etc as their first port of call for images. Now they first go to 'free' and if they can't find what they want, they then go to the regular MS agencies.
I have no doubt that many other image users also do similar. (No doubt the reason that SS and Adobe see fit to sponsor Pixabay with ads...which suggest that if the client can't find what he wants at Pixabay they should go to SS or Adobe).
Who upload on Pixabay images and videos and gives them away for free?

looks good not better. But better than Many others including shutterstock and adobe. I began uploading videos to istock as well. So far so good. These numbers are absolutely better than other all in each counts.

Hi,
There is a possible issue with uploading doubles (identical) that can happen.
When I upload clips (ftp) it sometimes uploads the same file 2-3-4 times. If I have a batch of mixed subjects I sometimes submit part of it and a couple of days later I submit the rest. Assuming a 20K+ portfolio of the OP I can see how doubles can be missed or unintentionally overlooked when submitting large batches. This could be a Super honest mistake.
I am a HUGE Shutterstock fan and trust them 100%. If this is what went down or a different honest mistake, Im sure they will be check it and let it slide.
Come on guys... have some faith in this company. Last night I checked my entire 9.5K portfolio for doubles and found 1 (deleted). I will double check again just to make sure.

Are you serious? Basically you answered yourself. Try searching on others agencies. BTW I stop uploading to this agency. Really, you need to try other agencies too. Good luck

As I know reviewers reject this kind of uploads with this reason:similar content
Or this are very old uploads?

I just get this message when I try upload images ,,IMG_1556.jpg had upload errors. Learn more about submission,, no problem with uploading to any other site like SS....
Add name, describe your image and try again.

I received the cam and tested it well. Now the first 7 4K vidoes have been submitted to several agencies. Going 4k is certainly a journey itself. My laptop did not work with Premier Pro and everytime I tried to export Mov, it crashed. The mp4 format export was too slow. Its an old laptop with 8GB RAM. Switched from premier pro to hitfilm express. It did good job. The denoise feature is missing. Everything else is lite and good. I am using free version which is full studio. Works well with my laptop. The newest issue I am dealing with keywording videos as stocksubmitter did not embed keywords in videos like it does for photos. For now, dealing manually and filling on the sites itself. I hope to figure out the better way of dealing with keywords on videos.
I really don't mind pay for play, I don't mind paying once for a program, but the current cloud situation for Adobe products is nothing more than extortion. I dropped them a while back.
I have use adobe software only for my stock work. Adobe agency was last year my best agency, this year on third place and still falling.. total disappointment! But now I thinking to leave adobe software too. I earn at adobe few bucks a day with 10k images!? Big joke!

no sales since 8 days... Usually, I have sales every day ... a trend or it's just me?
Summertime Slump is part of that, but looking, my SS sales are down 77%, vs 2018 or 2017, just for a comparison. Maybe it's not just AS?
Thank goodness my SS and other stocks compare to Adobe are better than last year.

After my sales at adobe began to fall I starts looking on Recent top sellers or Insight to see what content sells best today. There is many great new and old contributors. But today I find one portfolio with many similar images. Is this allowed? If I try upload some similar backgrounds like this or some other stuff I always got rejection. and what about ss? last two days appalling...today 5 sales yesterday 8.. they changed algorithm again? i'm down like 80 per cent in the last two days.
On SS I noticed some drop in video sales in May 2019 compared to May 2018. Sales there are ok! Adobe is almost DEAD here. I was always good ranked at Adobe. Last year and previously years my selling was great! Now nothing more. I got only few views after weeks I uploaded new stuff. There must be something. No reasen for such a drop for 6 months in row now! Emerald, yes, but few sales a day?! Last year I was gold and I have 30-40 sales at day. Now, as emerald??!, I only make 10 sales a day if I have good day (subs mostly), maybe some day o have few more. This game is obviously over. Thank you for amazing algorithms Adobe! Appreciated

Finally today on 15th day since my last sale, I got a sale. Adobe can show us the views data as fotolia used to show. It enables us to see that things are moving.
How big is your portfolio, how many sales you have previous year compared to this year?

Wow, thats depressing. You took a big hit this year.
Yes, it is not even funny anymore. Just thinking what to do next. Diversity of uploaded images and videos, more and more uploads does not help me. Best of luck to all!
