It is and it isn't. Unless others follow suit we still have to keep file size down, it's not worth creating work specifically for one agency (even SS).

By the way is there a list somewhere with agencies who accept vectors and the file size limitations each one has?

Sorry for being a little bit positive, (I know it's not really trendy around here) but I am really happy about this change. Sometimes it took me tens of minutes to optimize a file to fit under 15mb. Maybe I am the only one but I feel like the old 15mb was not fit for our times, I found it too limiting since the day it was introduced really.

Totally, i just remember some art works that i just was unable to reduce to goal size, spending whole day on it and finally discarding.

This is also amazing for time optimization so you can use fast methods to reach the effect you are looking for (fast methods that generate a bigger file) and finish more works in less time.

I'm so exited because of  this, i think i will not sleep this night!!

Haha, me too. I just finished a design and it is 24mb when saved in EPS and I can just leave it like that... what a relief.

P.S. I just realized you are being sarcastic... whatever

Yeah I found that after posting the thread and not being a hardcore user on these forums I have no idea how to delete a topic. Can anyone help me with that?

I just got a pop-up message in the contributor panel that EPS file size limit got raised to 50mb. It was really high time for them to do this, because this file size limit was set ages ago and caused most of us who use transparency or create complex works a lot of extra time to optimize file size sometimes needing to sacrifice the artwork quality. I am really happy now with this change.

Shutterstock.com / Shutterstock's upload just got better

I usually use the web upload and I got a nice surprise this week. When trying to upload some of my vector files it gave me an error notice and I was like, not again, some silly reason my upload can't get through, but to my surprise this time it wasn't some bug, it told me that I forgot some layers locked in my .eps file. I checked and it was right, then tested it a little and it discovers when the file size is too large or the eps version is not 10 or 8. These are all mistakes that are easy to make when preparing a vector file for SS and now it warns you before upload and not when it is already reviewed, saves a lot of time and annoyance. It is quite rare that something changes in the positive direction in Shutterstock's contributor panel, but when some new feature is really helpful it deserves to be mentioned! Thanks!

When something like this happens to a specific group of people it is almost always related. Copying or using somebody else's content in your uploads is the most common reason they do this for but there could be anything really... There was one case years ago I heard where two vector contributors who happened to be friends did nothing really wrong in my opinion. One of them asked for help from the other because there was some issue with her Paypal address (Shutter's site didn't want to accept it for some reason they were not aware of) and the other told her that she should write to admins or support and ask for help, but in the meantime also offered that she should try using the Paypal address the helping friend was using, so she could have her money while the admins figure out what the problem was. So that's what they did which resulted in two accounts with the same Paypal address. They didn't know that it's against the rules of the site. So when the admins checked the email and tried to figure out what was going on they suspended both of them because they were suspicious that the same one person is behind two accounts. End of story, none of them could ever get their accounts back despite several explaining emails.

Adobe Stock / Re: Vector Uploads Temporarily Disabled

So, is there any reason at all for stopping the vector uploads, or they just don't want us to contribute vectors anymore?

Since pending or rejected content has been moved within the new submission tool I can only see my new approved content from my phone application. Anyone else?
