You are right but... only "some" agencies cannot handle them.

Fotolia and many others process this special characters correctly.

Perhaps you can remove the special characters (replace with "space" for example) only when submitting to the agencies that won't handle them?

I have upgraded to the last version of Stock Submitter but I am still getting problem.

Here it is what I do:

- start Stock Submitter
- Select a folder with some new photos to upload
- edit keywords and Agencies Categories
- Upload photos to Agencies
- Submit keywords and Categories to Agencies
- When finish I delete one or more pictures from the folder
- I press CTRL-S to save and then I get the error "The program was not able to save metadata into some files:..."

The list of files in the error dialog is the list of files that I have just deleted!!!

What I can do??

Do you think it is reasonable to let me waste all this time with this buggy app??? Just let me know your opinion because as a customer I am really fed up with your app.

Can I propose to rename the menu item "Remove" of the menu it show up when you right-click on an asset to "Delete"?

The terms "Remove" I don't think is really appropriate for this operation. Actually what you are really doing is physically remove the file from the folder so I think it shall be "Delete".

No, I don't want any refund, I just want the software to work as it should be.

I like the concept but at this moment I see some severe usability limitations. Moving assets between folders, i think (correct me if I am wrong) it should be a basic feature.

New issue here.

I have added a single photo to a folder.
Pressed F5 to update the content, it show the new file
I have added and tweaked keywords, added categories
I have selected some agencies to Upload an pressed the "Upload Selected"
I got the "Saving Metadata Changes" message and it got stuck for minutes. Progress bar not moving at all.
I closed the window and the yellow upload bar appears, they were not moving at all.
I tried to kill the upload process by click on the abort (red round button with x), nothing happened.
I had no alternative than close Stock Submitter and relaunch.

Of course, upon relaunch, I lost all Keywords and Categories.

Guys, this is soooooo frustrating, I am the only one having this big usability issue?
Why a beta version of an app (because this is a beta version of course) request payment to its beta testers???

Just sent out the Report while stuck on SS Submitting.

I have tried on new and old uploaded photos but, nothing, always stuck on SS.

Submit is working fine for DT and FT.

This is my fault, I was pressing the Down Arrow nearby "Keywords (#):", not the big one!

Hi there,

Another big issue today.

I have input keywords on a small batch of photos. After done, click on Save button, All OK.

I input the title, categories, click on Save button, All OK.

Select the photos I want to Upload and click on "Upload selected" button, All ok. The app start regularity to upload the photos to the selected agencies.

After a while (upload process in the background) it open automatically the popup "Saving Metadata Changes" and it stay open for a while (not sure how much time, around 30 seconds I guess). In the meantime I notice that the progress bar is not moving at all.

Then the app suddenly close without any warning, NOTHING!

I launch the APP again and I notice that all Keywords are GONE!!

Sorry to say, I feel a bit exploited, I am wasting a lot of time with StockSubmitter and spending more time to restart the app that be productive.
Don't get me wrong but I feel more like a beta tester than a customer. I think this apps shall be put on sale only after gone a proper testing cycle on different user scenario.

I really like the concept of this app, I am ready to buy the full license but i will only pay for something that is really working NOT for a beta release.

It will be also interesting to learn about other users experience so to be able to compare.

Available to provide all necessary info to solve all this.

Hi there,

I have three main issues with StockSubmitter:

- after I have completed Upload and Sumbission of a photo I right click on the asset and select "Remove". After a while StockSubmitter open a dialog window informing me that it cannot find anymore the file deleted. I think the app shall take in consideration the fact that I deleted it, right?

- Very often, I get a dialog window informing me that it cannot save metadata because some jpg files are being used by other processes. I can guarantee that no other app is running and no-one is using them.

- From time to time I press CTRL + S, the pop us windows "Saving metadata changes" show up and never stop. I am forced to kill the app using Task Manager.

I am using Stock Submitter on a standard Win 7 Pro 64bit pc.
Initially I toughs that the issues were because I had my files on a network drive but after moving all my assets on a local hdd nothing changed.
