Wohooo, 2 EL's in a row. Now let's see if this theory about cap is true :)

I still have good sales after those 2 EL's.

I guess they've read this topic.

Actually, you're doing well.

Mine are doing well, will have one of the best if not the best month. I also have regular EL sales there, approximately 1 per month. What I dont like is, that their review time si much longer then it used to be.

Veer / Re: i have Zero sales ...why?
« on: September 23, 2015, 15:53 »
No. I started uploading to Veer on May this year, and had immediately 1 sale, so I uploaded more photos in the next 2 months. But no more sales since then so I stopped uploading.

I have 327 files and only 1 sale.

So...does anybody knows, is photo of music notes allowed to upload? I uploaded a close-up of a few notes and got rejected with Trademark--Image / Metadata potentially infringes on intellectual property rights.

Then I checked on SS site for "music notes" and there are plenty of photos of music notes.

Probably they fear it is the MUSIC which is copyright. I drew some notes in PS and they were accepted (I also clarified the fact that the 'music' was created by me).
Or maybe there was something else in the photo....

Nope, just notes, but they are from some book with guitar notes for some songs. Anyway, I guess I'll just re-arrange the notes and put a message that music is "fictional".

Tnks

I checked all files that were sold this month and there is no registered sale in any of them for the 8th of september.

EDIT: Ok, nevermind I just re-checked, you're right 1 file was sold twice :) I didn't see it before. I must be blind or sth.

So, I was checking my sales and I noticed a sale, that was reported on 8th of this month at statistic page (graph) , but if I go to "My uploads"-> "Last DL it isn't shown. Anyone else had this experience?

I am surprised this comes to light now. As I said earlier its nothing new at all. Been going on for a long time. Now all of a sudden people start noticing it?

Well, if you think it only happens to you, you might think it's coincidence. But when you see, other people have same experiences too, it might be some truth in this.

Yes, I've noticed the same thing.  One or two ELs or decent SODs then suddenly everything else dries up for a day or two.  Then, things get back to normal.  The drop after the additional income from ELs etc is noticeable.

Same here, had a really good month, lots of sales daily, and then EL sale (first sale that day - in the morning) and then no more sales that day. It's too weird.

It would be nice, to make some kind of protest. Like all contributors stop uploading for two weeks for example. But I know this is illusion.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock - new uploads not selling
« on: September 15, 2015, 00:26 »
Agree. It just has to be right image at the right place at the right time. For example, I have one photo which is selling well, and if you searched for main keyword of that photo it resulted more than 150.000 hits. But I immediately had a few sales after uploading it and it quickly climbed in popular and relevant searches and was on the top of the first page of "popular" and "relevant" among more than 150.000 results.

1441
I can't tell you because you can't change it. Re-ordering keywords, price setting and category changing are the only things you can change on already accepted images, as far as I know. The rest is locked.

1442
Click on your image and then click on "index it" ?

1443
It took me a few uploads to find "Christmas" and so I put some in another category...

This is an especially big problem when you're just learning FT's system. You have no idea what all the possible categories are so you wing it. But later, when you finally see the big picture, it's too late to make changes without first deleting already-accepted images and having to submit them for approval again.

Having the option to fix previous errors would be another huge step forward!

As far as I know, you can change categories on already accepted photos.

So increasing your chances to have more sales is a bad idea?

Ok, I just read a whole thread. Apparently prime has "best" photos, which is odd, because I found there some photos that looked like a "snapshot".

Well, for me August was BME in number of sales ( not earnings, a few ODD's short). And for now, it looks like september is going to beat it. Same with fotolia, so far the first 10 days of sept. are the best in earnings.

It would be much better if they would spend all this energy on image spam rather than on rejections.
