I also started to upload to 123 lately and their interface is indeed the least contributors friendly of all sites I'm using now.

Every time I need to submit images or check something I feel like I have to use some back doors and emergency exits to reach my files ;D

:) Do you have any idea how much does it takes until the files are reviewed? And how I notice this? Just checking in the accepted folder or I get also a confirmation e-mail?
Thanks and have a nice day!

Just do a select all, save and that's it. Pending means they are pending review. There is no submit button on 123.  I agree that their site is a flipping mess and very hard to navigate.

Thanks a lot! I've spent more than 2 hours searching for a solution. :)

123RF / upload on 123rf
« on: February 12, 2016, 17:11 »
Hallo, everyone,

I've just decided to start uploading on 123RF, but I must recognize that I encountered a lot of problems. This website is really a big mess. I need a little help from you, please. So, after I have send them my ID copy, I was able to upload some vectors. I don't know if I have done it right, because the procedure is a little different than other stock sites. After I complete the upload and the Title/description + keywords, I am expecting to find a button that needs to be pressed to send them to the reviewers. I didn't find such a button, only a "save" one, near the "pending" and "remove" ones. Does exist such a button and I couldn't find it or that is all I needed to do in order to submit my images?

Thank you in advance for your help,
Greetings, Luka.

(Do I have to pay more for high resolution images?
Absolutely not. Vectors, or eps files are included in the price of your purchase.)

As it says, the can download the vector within their subscription package. Not all customers do so because not all of them have vector software, so some will only download the JPG.

Thank you everybody for your help. I was hoping I didn't understand well  :(

$0.25. Means subscription sale

They also have odd which is an image bought on demand and that is what the $1.88 is for

Here is a link for you

So, when it is a subscription sale it is downloaded only the image or also the vector, only that it is on a very low price? Sorry for being so confused, but they are speaking about images and sometime includes also vector in this term, like in the announcement I have posted

Thanks.

I upload on shutterstock, is, bigstock and not to often on dreamstime. I don't have the same number of images on every agency, because in time i loose my interest in uploading if I am not satisfied with earnings. Actually, to be honest, I am not happy with any agency. On Shutterstock I have around 300 vectors and I have a lot of days with 0 sales. I don't know if this is normal for such amount of vectors or should I think to find another niche...but I am not happy. :( It is so unusual to speak about business when you sell your work on 25 cents.  :-[

Hi,

I have a query: What exactly buy someone on shutterstock when I get 25 Cents? I upload vectors. I have never payed attention to payments, but to find some new niches and to make more vectors (I don't have too much - around 300, because I am new in this branch and I also have a lot to learn). Still, today my eyes felt on some Shutterstock announcement :
"Frequent Licensing Questions....here was more information...
Do I have to pay more for high resolution images?
Absolutely not. Vectors, or eps files are included in the price of your purchase."

So when I upload a vector (eps) this means I get 25 cents for vector or for image only? Sometimes I get 1.88 and this is really confusing.
Thanks for giving me any answer and have a nice weekend ahead! ;)

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Is this replacing the old Istock forums?
« on: August 05, 2015, 15:41 »
I used to open the forum to see what others say about monthly sales, but the new forum is unfriendly and most of it, it doesn't allow me to stay incognito. Does anyone here know how to make your user invisible on that forum? What about the forum of shutterstock? Thanks

Another person with technical skills and no imagination . . . . .

I don't think it is about no having imagination, more about stealing the images or the vector by downloading them for free  from Russians or Chinese websites (that are already stealing them from Istock, Shutterstock, etc) and just trying the luck with selling them on Fotolia.  If it's working, until Fotolia close his account, he has been already taken one or more payments. My guess is that he or she has just a few knowledge of graphic, just enough to modify a little bit the layers.
After that, he can make another account with his mother, sisters, brothers, etc names and do it again, because it doesn't cost him too much effort.

There are dozens, probably hundreds of sites like that, often using watermarked stock images., and many hosting in China/Far East.
I'm not sure if there's much you can do, as China seems not to care much about copyright, while paying lipservice to legal issues.

Thanks for the links. Too bad they have access to internet then :) It is so frustrating! We spend hours for making an image that can be accepted and sold, and they spend few minutes to get it. :'(

These links are Phishing links.

How can you know that? A sort of definition of phishing I found on internet is this:
"Phishing email will direct the user to visit a website where they are asked to update personal information, such as a password, credit card, social security, or bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. The website, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the information the user enters on the page."

Those websites didn't tried to obtain any personal information from me, I found my images / vectors stolen, using google image. The first 2 links offer a lot of images on big size to be saved on personal computers, and the chinese sites (the other 2) ...I really do not understand that language, but I have found also the word EPS in the page where my images were on a very big size offered to be saved, so I assume that they offer also the vectors, probably for free (actually it doesn't matter if it's for free or not, as long as I don't get any penny  >:( ).

Hi, Luka ~
The msg forum you want is Image Sleuth, http://www.microstockgroup.com/image-sleuth, though it's not clear just from the name that that's what the forum is about. (When I saw it at first, I thought it was for people wanting to track down the source of a particular image.)

Thanks for the link. I will read later all topics and maybe I find a solution for my work also.

General Stock Discussion / Copyright infringements
« on: May 16, 2015, 05:46 »
Hi,
I've checked on the forum, but I couldn't find any topic about web sites that are infringing our copyrights. I was thinking to start posting here all the sites we find with this problem, so we all can search if it's there anyone else having the same issue with those websites. Maybe we can help each other and fight against them.

Here are my first ones:

http://pixshark.com/join-our-team-hiring.htm
http://pixgood.com/join-our-team-hiring.html
http://www.tooopen.com/
http://weili.ooopic.com/

I've send a note to them but with no results, i've complained about this to Istock for example, but with no result.  What do you do in this situation and what similar websites did you found?

Best regards,
Luka.

Hi, guys

I'm newbie here and I can say that i'm newbie on istock sites, also (i've started at the beginning of 2014).

How are your PP sales on Istock for april? Mine are worse than ever and i'm wondering if they are finished or not. For me, sales stopped on 21 and I've got a lot days with just one pp sale or nothing. It never went so bad. I have around 400 vectors in my portofolio  :'(
What happens with your sales this April?
Cheers.

If they are done it will be the worst month since they started.  I am up about $75 for April compared to $225 average on other months. But sales are still SLOWLY trickling in so I don't think they are done yet.

My revenue is also 1/3 from average month, so I guess it will be my worse month since i've started. I never sell too much, but this month is awful, worse it was when i had less than 100 vectors in my portofolio. :(

Where I can see when it was downloaded a PP file ?
I looked in PP but I don't see a date of download, only File, Edit, Approval date, DLs/mo, Partner Program DLs (iStock DLs) and Royalty.

Thanks !

I also don't know how to know when and what was downloaded form a moth to another. At the beginning it was easy to see, because they weren't too much, but after a while becomes hardly to traffic.
