Yeah, but that's how it works. It's painfully obvious to anyone who stops to think about how stock works for more than a few minutes that that is how it works... that's always how it has worked... and it's always how it will work. And that has nothing in the slightest to do with controlled revenue.
Bro, everything can be alright for you now, I saw your portfolio, your jobs are amazing, congratulations, you can be one of the very few who are good at sales these days, but this does not change the truth that is general. I am sure that your sales of a few years ago are better than current sales, isnt it?

it is clear that they have set limits and control the revenue I think, I can give myself an example, It's not just an agency, it's all the same. When you start selling new, your earnings will increase with time, if it was not so, nobody would continue this job, the bad side of the business is that as time goes on, no matter how hard you work, your earnings will gradually decrease. This is nothing but a rowing. People are hoping for nothing and it is getting ridiculous time by time. At least I am in this situation at the moment and I think most people are experiencing this.
- See, there's money in it, thinking that as time goes by I increase my portfolio and raise my income.
- No man, this is trap, do not trust these things or you will be in a difficult situation like me. DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB FOR THIS!!!

My iStock sales are 1-3 hundred each month. Clearly not enough to be rich. For the last couple of years I have come to the conclusion I will not make a living doing this. I now put all my monthly earnings in a Fidelity stock market account. Maybe in 4 or 5 five years it will double in value. This makes my low photo stock earning look a little better.
IS = joke
Did you mean Money Market account?
if only istock earnings is $300, this is a good revenue for now. what is Fidelity stock market account?

it is the major difference between a worker and a hobbyist ... as I wrote: I am an amateur who does it for pleasure. The day when the pleasure will not be there, I give up. It's not like I have bills to pay with these revenues ...
Who would end up hurting so much and doing this as a hobby?

I wonder, what was happening on jun 2017 to suc a big fall for you?
It looks like he was just starting last year. His early 2017 sales were low but climbing. His June 17 looks a bit better than his May 17.
yes, my bad, I missed some things on graph ...

you can see in the attachment what im talking about. And im not even working that hard. What im mainly doing that is increasing the sales (i think) is analysing the market, seeing what sells, whats popular, trends, etc and boy oh boy let me tell you. That has a much bigger impact then just uploading random stuff that looks cool. I cant predict the future but if i keep uploading more and more, learning the markets, the crafts, and improving my work process i cna only see my income keep going up for the foreseeable future.
I guess that everyone is already trying to do that. I wonder, what was happening on jun 2017 to suc a big fall for you?

hey guys, i dont know what to think, i started from scratch in june 2017, and it's my best month so far with a 35$ US commission. My port is now around 800 pics (IS SS DT), 500 on alamy (since december), 400 on AS. I saw a progression in my revenu. Like SS and DT. Is it possible that the photos of new contributors have a better place in their algorithm? I do not know anything about it ... only a thought that I have. I have an average income of about $ 70 / month, income that I did not have before, so for me it's nice. Then when I go out on a mission, it's mainly for the pleasure of taking pictures and improving my techniques. For now, I see only positive ... we will talk about it at the end of my 2nd year!
why are you writing an irrelevant message about the subject? Do not you see the title?

I wonder if is it happening on istock or getty side with something I missed? may revenue has fall almost 70 %, so much fall does not seem normal at all.

800 dollars is not enough money for living, if you dont live in a country where the dollar is not very valuable. I do not think anyone can live comfortably only with little money if you are not doing an additional job, I am earning less than these amounts right now with around 6000 images. In the last few years, although I have increased my portfolio, my profits are getting smaller and smaller, I think that's the truth and I'm not hopeful for the future. If it continues this way, I will earn around $ 100-200 a few years later. This is a very thought-provoking and annoying situation. Unfortunately we brought ourselves to this situation, our pictures are sold for a few cents, even at the expense of nothing, we allow to do this and we do nothing to change it, while contributors are losing day by day, sales sites are increasing their profits day by day. iStock had good commissions in the past, but thanks to these low priced sites, they also changed their style to survive on the market. not all of what I mention may not seem related to the subject but what I really want to tell you that, starting from zero to earning $ 800 a month is no longer easy.

my may sales incredibly down on fotolia, my weekly rank constantly down, almost 50% down in two weeks, this situation is very frustrating...
I am following this thread with interest. I'm seeing growth in many accounts but would like to understand why some of you are not.
@Madman will you answer the following questions for me please?
How many files are in your account? How long has it been since you have submitted new content? When you most recently submitted new content, how many files did you submit? Have you synced your Fotolia account with Adobe Stock yet? If not, why not?
Thanks,
Mat
Thanks for your care Mat, a few years ago, my earnings were constantly increasing on fotolia, but over the last few months, it is getting down... maybe I need to work much harder now for sell more images... I have over 5000 images on my fotolia account, I am constantly uploading files to fotolia, last few days ago I uploaded about 50 images (not exactly sure) Ive synced my Fotolia account with Adobe Stock Immediately after you say it, I never tried to go into the adobe portal before.

because of low price they sell for and pennies we get.
thats right, it seems they don't give a care to contributors and their arts anymore.

22 days past and I still cannot login for ESP...
it says still" We're sorry. Your account is not currently set up for ESP access. Please contact us if you believe this is in error.
according to them, esp means professionalism but it started full of inexperience...
this is very annoying, why it takes so long and why they are not responding to messages, and plus, I cannot login for contributor community forum also, disguisting, very disguisting things keeps happening on istock side as usual...

Dear Ivonne Wierink, Congratulations! We love your files and have decided to make you PhotoDune's featured author of the week. You won't be featured until the 18th of October, but you already have the shiny new badge. Enjoy!
It's a kind of a dception, well, I can live without them
The shiny new badge of The most idiotic agency goes to...

Just curious if anyone has been told their portfolio doesn't cut it at Envanto and had their accounts closed. I only make about $30 a month there and expect that email, but haven't received it yet. Just wondering if the culling has started yet.
mine too, they says " Unfortunately, the sample we looked through resulted in a very high number of photos that did not meet our new library standards"... hahaha... thats so strange, I have almost 5000 images on sale which has consistts mostly iconic 3d renders, photodune already poor sale site, but I dont understand why they are deactivate so many images while other agencies accepting so many crappy images...
