There is no need to upload again. If you think it is a mistake just contact the support asking for a second chance. Good luck

Newbie Discussion / Re: Ranking Keywords on istock

I contacted IS support some months ago...they reply keyword ranking doesn't matter

Guys, your help is need.

I always read that someone to save time for submitting files to several agencies....add keywords and Metadata in his computer (someone with lightroom...someone else with bridge...ecc...)....and then the files are ready to go anywhere.

I have adobe bridge and lots of .jpeg and .mov....I would like to use bridge for the above mentioned goal....but I don't know how :-(

Could you kindly tell me how to use it?
I imagine....open bridge....select the file....and in the panel of metadata I can edit, right?

Questions:
1) Can I set even categories? If yes....different agencies have different categories...and so how to manage the issue???

2) When I add metadata with Bridge......does bridge automatically re-save jpeg with the added info? Is quality of  jpeg is affected?

Thanks

iStockPhoto.com / Help for seeing earnings single sale
« on: June 10, 2016, 17:16 »
Is there a way to see the earning for each single sale?

I can't find anything to get that info in istockphoto website. Help, thank you

58
Ok It is clear. Thank you

59
Ok so you have ONE FILE CVS where Each row is relate to one video. In a only one cvs file there is all your inventory.

You upload a video file...togheter with the CSV file (the only one containing all the database)......the agency is smart to find information relative to the uploaded video in the cvs file.

Is it so?

60
Hi dirkr, thank you.

What is your procedure? Is this the following one?

1) one video file is ready to be uploaded
2) open csv in your computer and edit it adding information relative to that video.
3) upload video via ftp (SS) and ftp or web (VB and P5)
4) go to each website and apply CSV file

Do you have a CSV file for each video...or ONLY ONE CSV file for all the videos?

61
thank you.

Other hints?

I am at the begin of my video microstock experience. I need hints on workflow for Managing Uploading and Keywording multi-agencies.

What I do now.

Let me say I have 5 video files (.mov) to be uploaded on 3 different agencies.

I open ftp with first agency.....send files.
I open ftp with second agency.....send files.
I open ftp with third agency.....send files.

I go to the website of first agency....keyword and submit each video
I go to the website of second agency ....copy and paste keywords from the first agency and submit
I go to the website of third agency ....copy and paste keywords from the first agency and submit

Is there a way to make my workflow better?  :(

P.S. Agencies: SS, P5, VB, FO, DT

Yes me too....but sometimes a trivial correction is need on the image to be approved

Adobe Stock / Reason of rejection
« on: June 06, 2016, 11:54 »
When FO rejects some of my works I got an email with a generic reason of rejection....but what is the true problem???

When you get this kind of email are you able to understand the true problem? Do you contact the support? What do you do?

I wonder why the reviewer doesn't tell the true problem....if she/he rejects the photo/video/illustration she/he knows why.

Microstock Services / Re: FTP sync by dropstock.io

I am interested in video too.

Software / dropstock.io
« on: April 28, 2016, 04:18 »
Does anyone use the service proposed by dropstock.io?

In short, you upload your photos on dropbox and dropstock.io uploads them via ftp to your agencies.

Your opinion is welcomed :-)

I was confused so yesterday I contacted istock support asking if order of the keywords counts in terms of search results.

The support answer:
"No, the order you enter your keywords in does not affect the search results"

So I conclude qhero is ok for uploading. The only thing I don't like is the fact that qhero cannot show me all the files of my IS portfolio.

68
Kasper thanks a lot for your reply.....other 2 questions:

1) Is there a way to ranking keywords? Let me say...I copy and paste keywords in random order in the box "input Keywords" after that am I able to change order of the keywords? I mean changing rank without cut and paste of the keywords in the editor mode but simply drag and drop

2) As far illustrations are concerned, can I upload directly eps file and jpeg file without zip them in one file?

Thanks

69
Just a question.

Is there a way to ask qhero "Show me all files of my istock portfolio". I mean even images not uploaded through qhero but that are in my portfolio before qhero.com arrival.

Thanks

123RF / Re: Do you make $100/month at 123RF?
« on: March 03, 2016, 14:09 »
Ah ah ah....yes of course every 7 months

71
I asked for clarifications to SS staff and they kindly gave them (thanks SS staff!).

"the videos appeared to have ghosting because they are interlaced"

How can I check if my videos are interlaced? I would say no, but I want to be sure.

Do I have to look at exif data and make a comparison between shooted video and output video???

72
I still don't understand what is the problem. I got other videos rejected from SS for issues related to frame rate. In particular for two similar (basic) videos shot with the same camera, same lens, same session, same work flow, same subject.......one has been accepted and one has been rejected for issues related to frame rate  :(

iStockPhoto.com / Keywords Disambiguation
« on: February 07, 2016, 17:38 »
I have just started to use DeepMeta to keywording and uploading file to IS.
After inserting keywords the next step is a page of disambiguation keywords where for some keywords you have to specify the meaning you intend. The disambiguation task seems not necessary to get the green light to uploading the file. So I wonder if the time spent to disambiguate keywords is worth it.

Adobe Stock / Re: Hint for Keywording less heavy
« on: February 04, 2016, 03:26 »
I contacted the 123rf support and I asked the matter of keywords order.....

They kindly replied me so:

"The order of keywords does not affect the search results. Once batched into the portfolio, the keywords are arranged in alphabetical order."
