123RF / 123RF - New contributor dashboard
« on: July 26, 2016, 03:08 »
Did anyone see the new contributor dashboard: http://www.123rf.com/contributor/index.php
Clean design, like it!

I'm not sure what they mean by 'Top downloads'.
It would be useful if it shows unpaid $ amount as well.

Has anyone received sales report for Feb 2016? I still haven't received it. Normally I receive it on 20th.

Cameras / Lenses / Close-up Lens
« on: February 29, 2016, 22:34 »
I'm planning to get a close-up lens for my Canon 70-200mm F/4 L lens. Anyone has experiences with close-up lenses? Any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm looking for something like +5 or more...

I currently use Canon 10-22mm lens on crop sensor body (1.6 crop factor). I mostly use 10mm for landscape shots (including skylines). However, there is a severe distortion at 10mm. I'm thinking of buying a Full Frame body (most probably Canon 6D) and Canon 16-35mm F/4 lens. Do you think distortion will be lower at 16mm on Full frame compared to 10mm on crop sensor? Thanks!

« on: November 29, 2015, 23:50 »
My ODs/SUBs ratio in Nov is 0.33 (in terms of $). This is the lowest for me. Anyone else would like to share numbers?
ODs are disappearing?

Adobe Stock / Worth to Put Hi-Res on Adobe/FT?
« on: October 07, 2015, 23:31 »
When I submit images to SS and 123RF, I normally submit minimum possible size as majority of the sales are coming from subs and they pay same royalties regardless of the size. Do you think it's worth to submit highest resolution images to Adobe/FT?

I noticed that sub-royalties are not fixed on FT, anyone understand how it is decided? (mostly I get 0.25 credits, but sometimes more)

What do you think about this shoot? Is it a crossing of ethical boundaries of photography?

General Macrostock / GI vs Alamy for Editorial Images

Is there anyone who contributes to both Alamy and Getty? According to your experience, what is the best place sell Editorial images out of those two?

123RF / Need batch editing in 123RF
« on: September 13, 2015, 21:41 »
Most major websites offer batch editing facility where you can select multiple images together and edit their information (keywords, titles, country, etc) simultaneously. 123RF website is currently going on so many changes. However they still don't offer this facility for their contributors which can save lots of time for them. Otherwise selecting country for each individual image is such a pain.

123RF / Unable to change the copyright information
« on: August 20, 2015, 06:10 »
123RF does not allow contributors to change their copyright text or portfolio name. 123RF shows the contributor's website login username as the portfolio name and also as the copyright text under their images. If a contributor wants to promote their business under a specific brand name, they would like to use that brand name as their portfolio name and as their copyright text. Therefore, it would be great if 123RF allow contributors to change their copyright text or portfolio name.
