You just want others to stop. Less competition is always good, as Dumc already said. 232

Newbie Discussion / Re: Should i keep uploading or start again from zero point?« on: October 13, 2015, 23:21 »Hello everyone. I'm Alex from Serbia and I'm newbie on this forum, but not new to stock photography. If you have some files which generate regular sales, there is no reason to delete them. They have already made a good progress in search rankings. There is no guarantee they will be seen by customers even if you upload the same file to same site. Search position is some thing very important, IMO. There are so many excellent work that never being discovered. If you really need to delete files, delete those low quality files which never generated any sales. However, there is always a better chance to get them downloaded when they are online, compared to lying on your HDD. So, my advise is don't delete any, just keep uploading. 239

Adobe Stock / Re: Worth to Put Hi-Res on Adobe/FT?« on: October 08, 2015, 19:36 »You are paid a 33% royalty based on the price paid per image. This price varies in different subscriptions at both Adobe Stock and Fotolia. The $3.30 rate you are seeing comes from individual sales at Adobe Stock. The cost per image is $9.99 so you receive 33% of that. On the other end of the spectrum, with larger sized subscriptions, the cost per image gets lower. There is a minimum rate that is set by your Fotolia rank that your payment will never drop below. Thank you for the info Mat. Really appreciate your presence. 244
Adobe Stock / Re: Worth to Put Hi-Res on Adobe/FT?« on: October 08, 2015, 11:10 »I recommend you post the full resolution file for a couple of reasons. As mentioned, the credits sales at Fotolia become more expensive the larger the file. What I think is possibly more important however is that customers search based on the size of the image and will not purchase a file if it is not large enough for their project. I can't tell you how many times I've spoken with customers asking for larger versions of a file. When I tell them there isn't one available, they move on and find one that fits their specifications. Thanks for your explanation Mat. One more thing. Can you explain how FT decide sub-royalties? (mostly I get 0.25 credits, but sometimes more, even 3.30) 245

Adobe Stock / Re: Worth to Put Hi-Res on Adobe/FT?« on: October 08, 2015, 03:15 »How can you have XL sale, if you upload minimum required size? I checked one of my photo, size 3000 x 1993px and the maximum size one can buy is L. When I submit images to SS and 123RF, I normally submit minimum possible size as majority of the sales are coming from subs and they pay same royalties regardless of the size. So far, I uploaded highest resolution to FT. That's why I'm asking whether it's worth to do so.... because most of XL sales are subs only 249

I noticed that sub-royalties are not fixed on FT, anyone understand how it is decided? (mostly I get 0.25 credits, but sometimes more) |
