Hello, I would like to let you know about a facebook page that is using lots of stolen images from agencies, doing memes and not being willing to take them down with arrogant answers to messages. Facebook doesn't allow to file a copyright infringement on someone else behalf, so whoever's images were stolen should file the infringement request by themeselves, if interested. Here the page:

https://www.facebook.com/CloroformioOfficial/

Hope to be useful

That's one of bad consequences of showing large previews.

BTW, why do you want to start 2 threads for the same topic?

Did anyone see the new contributor dashboard: http://www.123rf.com/contributor/index.php
Clean design, like it!

I'm not sure what they mean by 'Top downloads'.
It would be useful if it shows unpaid $ amount as well.

I might have misled you... Those are G.I. Connect (Monthly) sales through IS. Not exclusive of course.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the explanation.

General Stock Discussion / Re: When to upload which photos?
« on: July 24, 2016, 20:20 »
Think of stock photography like throwing mud on the wall...

Some of it will stick, and most of it will fall to the floor.

I never time anything - I shoot and upload and simply forget about it.

Genius!

General Stock Discussion / Re: stock travel advice

I travel for fun., but I'm covering good part of my travel expenses by selling some of my photos in microstock websites.

Plan before the trip, try to pick your subjects carefully, limit number of shots, and take care of your travel partners.

« on: July 24, 2016, 20:14 »

In another thread, people are complaining about SS favoring new contributors.

Sure does seem to be true. Why else would an experienced contributor's newest images die on the vine as soon as they're uploaded to SS?

I believe that's true as well. I'm getting less number of downloads after reaching top tier. Pathetic.

The new contributors selling nothing on shutterstock. Im started in 2012 and i sell the old pictures 2012-2015. I working hard but nobody buy the newest images from 2016.
Maybe my istock is going up a little bit. Shutterstock going down.
Not my experience too much generalisation based on own sales on here

I'm a Getty moment contributor. I checked my reports for last 6 months. Recorded minimum is $0.40. These are exclusive images, we should at least get paid $1 per download.

Jan - 0.04
Feb - 0.07
Mar - 0.06
Apr - 0.06

Personal record - from 2015 - 0.03

What sort of contract you are having with them? Are you a Getty moment contributor?

« on: July 21, 2016, 04:37 »
I think the reports are delayed slightly since they're being issued out of Seattle now.

June pretty decent all up, highest royalty 273x greater than smallest  ;D

Highest one is for a video?

40
Hello i just got approval at fotolia i see it is 33% commission are they worth the time and is it safe to upload video files there

Is it safe? I don't know.
Worth the time? For me, Yes. But it depends on you, especially on where you live and how worth your time is.

I got mine, but sales are not good this month :(

There are something written on that door, right?

MICROSTOCK IS THE GREATEST THING EVER AND EARNINGS WILL NEVER GO DOWN!!!!

For agencies.

44
Well, I will tell you this, I had a video sale for .28 cents or something and it seemed very odd so I emailed them. It took a couple of weeks to get back to me and they said it was some kind of glitch and credited me the $20 or so dollars for the video.

So definitely pay attention to video sales ... if I did not pay attention and look (daily) I may have never seen that "mistake" ...

I can only imagine how many glitches like that may go unnoticed, especially with the photos. I have quite a few that I saw downloaded but the Image Stats still show 0 and I'm not sure whether those earnings are accounted for or it's just the inaccuracy of the Stats.

I inquired about this from SS help some time before. They directed me to this page:

To help you analyze how your individual images are doing we have launched Image Gallery Stats which can be found under the header "Insights" to show the total downloads and earnings in relation to the keywords that were used for each image search.

Please be aware that Image Gallery Stats include information that is not visible in your Earnings Summary, like re-downloads or free watermarked comp images. Download history of free comp images will help you see how successful certain keywords are, even if they do not generate earnings for you.

It is therefor normal for some downloads to show in Image Gallery Stats, but not in your Earnings Summary so it is advised to use your Image Gallery Stats to analyze keywords and image popularity, but not your earnings.

Not to mention that you were getting more sales than you normally would have because so many people opted out, leaving you with less competition. So you made a bunch of extra money for a while during a time when many people sacrificed that income for a larger ideal.

Goodbye and good riddance, DPC.

If my memory is correct, you had mentioned that SUBs created a previously nonexistent market. Imagine what will happen if every site stop SUBs or majority of the contributors avoid SUB sites...

After April, I see some increase of ODD in SS. This might be due to the closure of DPC. Those customers should go somewhere.

I thought everyone stopped uploading to 500px after royalty cut. It's good to hear that 500px bans people who still upload there.  ;)

I always thought 123RF was following SS, but it seems other way around now. Inspired by 123RF, now SS have started to fix things which are not broken.
