General Stock Discussion / Re: Facebook page with lots of followers using TONS of watermarked images« on: July 28, 2016, 05:45 »Hello, I would like to let you know about a facebook page that is using lots of stolen images from agencies, doing memes and not being willing to take them down with arrogant answers to messages. Facebook doesn't allow to file a copyright infringement on someone else behalf, so whoever's images were stolen should file the infringement request by themeselves, if interested. Here the page: That's one of bad consequences of showing large previews. BTW, why do you want to start 2 threads for the same topic? http://www.microstockgroup.com/off-topic/facebook-page-using-tons-of-watermarked-images 28

Did anyone see the new contributor dashboard: http://www.123rf.com/contributor/index.php
Clean design, like it! I'm not sure what they mean by 'Top downloads'. It would be useful if it shows unpaid $ amount as well. 33

General Stock Discussion / Re: stock travel advice« on: July 24, 2016, 20:17 »
I travel for fun., but I'm covering good part of my travel expenses by selling some of my photos in microstock websites.
Plan before the trip, try to pick your subjects carefully, limit number of shots, and take care of your travel partners. 36

I'm a Getty moment contributor. I checked my reports for last 6 months. Recorded minimum is $0.40. These are exclusive images, we should at least get paid $1 per download.
Jan - 0.04 What sort of contract you are having with them? Are you a Getty moment contributor? 39

Shutterstock.com / Re: Is it possible that we don't see every sale?« on: July 06, 2016, 04:09 »Well, I will tell you this, I had a video sale for .28 cents or something and it seemed very odd so I emailed them. It took a couple of weeks to get back to me and they said it was some kind of glitch and credited me the $20 or so dollars for the video. https://www.shutterstock.com/contributorsupport/articles/en_US/kbat02/000006570 45

I inquired about this from SS help some time before. They directed me to this page:
To help you analyze how your individual images are doing we have launched Image Gallery Stats which can be found under the header "Insights" to show the total downloads and earnings in relation to the keywords that were used for each image search. 47
Adobe Stock / Re: DPC and Adobe stock now.« on: July 05, 2016, 07:32 »Not to mention that you were getting more sales than you normally would have because so many people opted out, leaving you with less competition. So you made a bunch of extra money for a while during a time when many people sacrificed that income for a larger ideal. If my memory is correct, you had mentioned that SUBs created a previously nonexistent market. Imagine what will happen if every site stop SUBs or majority of the contributors avoid SUB sites... 48
Adobe Stock / Re: DPC and Adobe stock now.« on: July 05, 2016, 07:28 »
After April, I see some increase of ODD in SS. This might be due to the closure of DPC. Those customers should go somewhere.

New Sites - General / Re: 500px need advice« on: July 05, 2016, 03:08 »
I thought everyone stopped uploading to 500px after royalty cut. It's good to hear that 500px bans people who still upload there.

I always thought 123RF was following SS, but it seems other way around now. Inspired by 123RF, now SS have started to fix things which are not broken.
