what  bothers me really is that you cannot edid the keywords like in fotolia for some reason.when i first started at them i uploaded pics, from a cell phone and i didnt think of many good keywords to ad and mostly becouse english is not my first language. Also  i didnt find this useful keyword tool on this site to help me bit,so i only had 2 sales so far.
not to mention about rejections i dont get  >:(

i can see your fraustration, but you know some photographers who made it well, well they wanna keep it for themshelves all the secrets to their success.its just the way it goes
best advice is to look very popular images.see what sells best in each agency and try to copy the idea, well not totally couse is gonna look bad,but focus on what sells best in these agencies.
one thing for instance that sells in all the agencies are pictures with people, which i dont have unfo,i only used one model and that was my sister, but its diff to provide photos with people at this time and get a model realish.idid some shootings with models but the photos had to be exclusive unfo.
so here is one eg of so  many.
or you can try editorial and specially events .or try to be unique in each shot and try to bring somethin new to the table.

« on: February 24, 2017, 07:59 »
hi i applied 2 years ago in ss but they rejected me unfo.recently i tried to apply again  and i send 10 pics for review.thing is i didnt hear for them but today when i logged in to my account i saw i had 2 rejections and the funny thing is that the one image rejection was for the caption thing.i didnt give  too much details for the picture apparently .Now when i go to my other remaining 8 photos i still see them and i have to press again the submit buttor for review
the thing is the first time they send me an email that bla bla you didnt pass the test <not that i agreed with the rejection reasons but anyway>now becouse i didnt receive an email, do i need to  apply and the rest photos for review or choose another photo to replace the one in my other 8 photos?. also i dont get with the caption rejection they could approve my image   and told me to edit again for the caption .this was suppose to be a sort of  test.
Edit
i didnt see the caption thing and i gave only the description and title i guess thats why the rest of 8 pics remaining there.
just one question if they reject you and the 10 pics i highly doupt thats gonna happen, but who knows,, you can constantly apply a new banch of images?the 1 month waiting period is over?
thanks

nothing for me either and i cant upload any pictures.this is so * annoying

164
when i try to upload a photo to zoonar nothing happens there is a small x mark on top of the image is in que and the pic wont load.is it  i am doing something wrong?
also another thing is i am ok with rejections i am used to them, though i dont agree on them, but i dont see where the rejected images are and the reason for the so called technical problems

well i ve had one sale on crated and still waiting for the second one..as far for the FAA there are many times that i wanna join the site i am on the free account? 4 years now  without a single sale  but i see threads the one after the other in their forums n that people cant sell even  with a very big portfolio and the  twitter and instagram for promotion

That was an interesting read.  I still haven't heard back from my initial application to Stocksy and haven't bothered trying again.

Honestly, I doubt that a new application at Stocksy would be successful. Actually there haven't been many new members recently. Maybe next year.

But there is Offset, 500px, EyeEm, Alamy; all of them non-exclusive and Offset the only among them with curation, so you can easily distribute images across all of those. I am also seeing regular (though not big) sales on Twenty20, and with Foap, Markedshot, Snapwire etc. there are also a couple of "mobile" platforms (I put mobile in quotes because they have no problems accepting DSLR images).                                                                                  hi one question do you make money with markedshot? i have a small portfolio there but i dont want to upload more pics there if the sales are not good

General Stock Discussion / site for celebrity pictures?
« on: November 10, 2016, 19:09 »
when i was living in London i did a lot of the red carpet thing and i have many nice shots of some hollywood celebs.i put many of these images in DT becouse they have the option for celeb photos ,but i only sold 2 photos there.
so is there any other  site  out there apart from DT i can put these photos?.but without exclusivity.
also  can you post celeb pics in SS and Istock?

General Stock Discussion / Re: use stock photo in contests
« on: October 21, 2016, 18:31 »
well i am, but no luck there.specially in gurushots most of the winning shots are the images that they d be rejected by agencies like ss and dt.Overfiltered or done  by photoshop
but i guess its the kind of images people want to see and admire rather than a blant stock photo of a tree lol
on the other hand what puzzles me bout these contest, if in the best case scenario you won then they  want to take the rights and not be able to sell it.i ve read that in the rules of a contest in some site

Shutterstock.com / Re: Are reviewers for real or bots?
« on: October 05, 2016, 18:32 »
I'm also wondering if we owe those quick reviews to bots.. But then it's weird that the bot approves the images that were just rejected by the bot the day before ;D
its the battle of the bots :P :P
