You are not alone... friend of ours is noticing same problems. We personally didn't across such files yet.

Pond5 / Re: Did Anybody Get Paid Twice?
« on: February 17, 2017, 07:41 »
while waiting for payment we received this;
"We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with Skrill, one of our third-party payment providers. As a result, February 15 payouts will be delayed for all artists using Skrill as their payment option."

And in dashboard $22 is already taken away for Skrill fee...  Skrill is going to Fee everything.  Why don't they fee every login to their page too. Assholes.

We didn't get anything... We hope that wasn't our share <_<

354
our revenue on Fotolia are 10 times lower than on Shutterstock. We hardly sell anything in the past half year. Only good months were just after first big batch of files were uploaded and imported. Now even if we upload on regular basis, sales are low.

355
if sales drop on pond/ss/dissolve, then we get much less with only sales on videoblocks... what is not clear here?! And when all those agencies lower prices, we will get much much less income altogether.

356
We foreseen this years ago... but today it is getting funny how shittystock is collapsing.

If you have good port, you'll do well on SS and probably on Pond5 too. We personaly don't like Videoblocks, because (again our prediction) they are dumping industry standard prices.

357
Ronin-M is nice to have, but if you wanna go even more compact, maybe gun-stabilizers would be good too. We've seen some good reviews with such equipment.

358
Skrill IS nothing but thieves.... conversion rate from USD to EUR has been 1:0,94 for a month now, but Skrill even lowered the conversion to grab more money from transactions. Nothing but thieves.

SS was the worst in December for us too. Maybe because of lacking Christmas and new year footage. Hope to see January improve asap.

General - Stock Video / Re: Agencies worth uploading nowdays?
« on: January 06, 2017, 14:25 »
Our analysis show that only Shutterstock, Pond5, Dissolve and Fotolia are worth the time per earnings. While we avoid dumping practices of other agencies for our long term income. We are even slowly dumping istockphoto for their worse contributor share.

SS (video only):
portfolio: +18%
revenue: +31%
downloads +35%

It's been upwards last two years, but I'm kinda bugged out what 2017 will bring. I hope the trend goes upwards too.

When someone goes big and starts manipulating whole market with new prices, you'll understand how disturbing is any new price dropping and cutting comisions of contributors.

Our pool is video only statistics. We will look in to guests pool where other contributors might report their statistics.

We've been there long enough that we don't upload there anymore; http://video-stock.org/contributors-leaving-istockphoto-getty-images-is-for-the-best-of-whole-stock-industry/

long story short; their attitude, extremely low contributor share and naive rejections are main reasons why we stopped uploading. We do get just above $100 income every month from what we uploaded, but it's not even close to be worth dealing with them. When these sales dry up, we will close account.

Unless they fix the prices of 4K (we didn't upload 4K, but downscalled HD) and contributors share. Then we might overlook their attitude.

Video sales on SS are crapy this month too. Maybe the VB dumping prices disease has become pandemic.

366
loosing many hundred euros per month because of their receiving fees, unfair currency and high withdrawal fees is simply criminal act.

General - Stock Video / Re: 4K with Canon lenses
« on: December 07, 2016, 02:37 »
It depends on your budget. URSA mini is probably the best, if you don't mind size of equipment. I we like it because it's not that portable and it has big battery. It's heavy too because of that too. OTherwise the a7sii is the smallest and most efficient, it has 100% fullframe sensor use at 4K. But you'll probably need external monitor to get the focus right while shooting.

We too use Canon lenses with a7s+atomos shogun for 4K. We use 5dmk3 for photo (ex video). We don't like 5dmk4 because of serious crop factor. Neither any other camera with crops factors (gh4).

368
This limitations are doubled edged. If you are new artist, it could slow down your possible income, while if you already have a big port on their site, the files MIGHT get reviewed faster. If you have big port to upload, it's better to contact directly and send whole initial batch. We are slowly uploading new files on Dissolve, because they were always slow on reviewing side. There are now about 3k of files to get them online... even with 250 per month it will take forever (because we make 250 new files every month).

On the contrary Josephine, i think you will never run out of creativity, because making stock gets in to your veins. If you have any sort of creativity blocks, go out, enjoy nature.

Never had burn out syndrom. We are shooting stock video full time. Me and my girlfriend are doing it on daily basis and live just fine from it. It was easier to buy better equipment when we had full-time jobs and doing stocks part-time, but you forgot about relationship. So we dropped jobs and doing stock full-time. We enjoy it, because we work whenever we si it fit. When we have an idea to shoot, we shoot. We have a lot of stuff still waiting to be edited, and even much more to be tagged (still tagging some last year stuff). We perfected the flow of work, it's just the matter of what you feel to work each day. Our part-time work is finding some new niches to grow some new funds. :)

America = Mafia. They are all connected, that's why they will get away with it and that author of images will go bankrupt. #fact

Can you withdraw from Paypal outside US?

373
Have you received your cheque? We are testing this method too because of fees too high at Skrill to high.

Same experience here... many shots we wouldn't upload any more sell better than many others where we invest many time and knowledge.
