You can tell people you work for them, it's ok... it's actually encouraged.

Yeah, you probably got a deal for upgrading for the first 3,6, 12 months or something.

Why should it help us? It's something he's decided to do as an experiment, with his content, and he's explained why he's trying it in the post.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Does an image of a person wearing a face mask requires a model release?« on: January 10, 2023, 20:04 »
'Maybe' would be the most accurate answer. The only definitive answer from a legal standpoint would be the decision of a court of law, but obviously you don't want it to get to that point, so best to use a combination of common sense while erring ever so slightly on the side of caution. But even after doing so, whatever agency you upload it to might feel it does require a model release, even if you don't... and reject it for not having one, and there's not really anything you can do about that.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock has locked my account« on: January 06, 2023, 08:57 »
Well if it was the same last year, but the last months of 2022 have been the best... then that means sales are going to go back up again, Or should do based on last year. It may not be Tuesday, it may not be January, but if things were the same last year then seasonality is surely to blame to an extent.

It's Santa's fault. Give it until Tuesday and you should see a slight uptick when the hangovers wear off and the reality of everyday life kicks in.

I get around $75 to $100 per quarter for subscription sales, plus the occasional individual sales. Portfolio of 129 videos.

Shutterstock.com / Re: SS continues to deteriorate« on: December 31, 2022, 15:54 »
I was referring to Shutterstock having the best month in January, without specifically stating so, in an effort to demonstrate to Stroker that it's important to make it clear who exactly is having their 'best month'. If you say you are having your best month, that's fine... if you just say it's the best month in general, that implies you have some kind of behind the scenes knowledge that's not available to the rest of us.

I can pretty much gaurantee that January will probably be one of the best months, if not the best month, in almost a year*.

I'm guessing that...
2. Is that all, or will you also choose next month? How many more months will the selection last? Plus I do not anticipate more selections being made this round. Plus no new updates, and it being the 29th of December... means that's almost certainly a no. I'm sure you'll be informed here, and/or via email, if that changes. 65
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock "Contributor Fund"« on: December 25, 2022, 02:50 »What's the justification for not telling the contributor which images were purchased for this usage? I have no way of knowing either way, but if some people are getting up to $100 payments on a single day then I'd be very, very surprised this isn't from several items/uses. I don't know how much this images cost the buyer, but 10 cents, minus SS's cut, divided by however many dozens or hundreds of items used to train the algorithm... or however it works. That's a lot of slices of the pie. As I say, I don't know the specific but I would have though a new AI image would have drawn from multiple sources to create a new image. 66

General Stock Discussion / Re: About taxes and specially US forms« on: December 14, 2022, 22:17 »
You need to apply to the IRS to get a ITIN... but you don't really need one, as a non-US individual you should be using your Foreign Tax Identification Number, which is your tax ID in your own country. Although if you have, or do, set up a US company then you'll be using the ITIN instead, which should be provided to you at some point during the setup.

Adobe Stock / Re: Announcing the Adobe Stock policy on generative AI content« on: December 07, 2022, 00:13 »But, first of all they are trying to put the risk at you. They state that artists supplying the images should have all the rights to the picture so that in the end they could not be held responsible if there were any copyright issues and stuff. To be fair, they've been doing that with images, videos and vectors since the beginning. 72

It may say 2.4 out of 5, but did you notice that its says it's also ranked 4th out of all the restaurants on that site? And nobody was talking about their consumer rating anyway, you're just bringing it up as you've been called out, once again, for being wrong... so you're probably trying to save face. You said they weren't popular and few people go there, which is blatantly false no matter whether they have 5 stars, 2.4 stars or 0 stars.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence killing the whole industry« on: December 03, 2022, 10:15 »
You were in every store simultaneously, all day, every day? Unlikely. Anyway, I wouldn't class 8.71 billion dollars in revenue as 'not popular'.
