If you click on the link there is a version in Dutch on the website. I don't know if it is the same form. Hope it helps.

I just found the email from Zoonar. Here is what they have written:
If you provide us the certificate of excemption which you get from the Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt fr Steuern = BZSt) we will not withhold any tax and pay the full royalties to you. To apply for the certificate of excemption you have to fill out the "licence fees" form (http://www.formulare-bfinv.de/ffw/action/invoke.do?id=010027) and send it to the Federal Central Tax Office.

That is strange. When I asked if they have the forms to fill out on their website they wrote that they don't and that I have to apply directly somewhere at an affordable office. I didn't like that at all. May I ask if it is worth uploading at Zoonar? Can't Google translate the forms for you?

Ivonne, do you live in Europe? I thought about applying at Zoonar but didn't. I live in Europe and I was told by Zoonar that they don't have the forms and that I have to apply at a government office directly.

They don't just upload to Getty according to their website they upload to Alamy and even Adobe. I upload to Alamy and Adobe myself.

I have just been on Eyeem's website and read there the following: "We partner with Getty Images, Adobe Stock, Alamy, and other photo platforms to distribute the best pictures you upload to their networks of image buyers."
Is that true? What's the point of me uploading there? I would only compete with myself and earn less. I upload myself directly to Adobe and Alamy. Is there a point uploading to Eyeem if I am uploading to iStock? Won't Getty anyway get my images because of iStock?

Is there a point uploading to Eyeem if I am already uploading to iStock? Isn't it a big problem that they don't have watermarks?

No point uploading editorial images. I sent them an email, they assigned someone to review images but they didn't review the editorial images which are 6 months old now.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Backgrounds
« on: October 05, 2018, 02:17 »
Hi DallasP. No I don't. I don't do composites. And no, I don't want to use someone else's photo that's on the stock websites. I haven't ordered from Ink and Elm yet either. There are wood panel backgrounds and I asked if it is okay to put it on my table and lay for example fruits on it or a cake etc. and upload that. It all started when I saw a vinyl snow background a view days ago on eBay. The seller has stitched two photos together but I saw the top part of it on SS. I went on SS to see if I can maybe make my own snow background or if I am just not good enough. I was shocked to see that image on SS and asked here if it is okay to use it if I put a still life on the part that lays on the table but the sky with snow would be visible. It didn't feel right to me to do that and so I asked. I do very few images and certainly not composites. There is a lady I know who makes here own backgrounds and before I bought one I asked her if I am allowed to put cake etc. on it and sell the photo with her background on the stock websites. I am not a low life rat. I asked here because I know of a lot of people who buy for example on Ink and Elms website and they sell backgrounds to photographers. It worries me, that's why I asked. I am a photographer. I don't want to do harm to others. And I don't know what GTFO means.

What about the wood panel backgrounds that many buy from for  Ink and Elm for food photography? This is not about Ink and Elm. It's just that I found the rather unique backgrounds on SS that are getting sold for food photography etc. Do I need to make my own wood panel backgrounds?

I found 4 images on SS where someone has bought this background, put an object on it and in front of it and uploaded it to SS. I personally feel that it is not right doing it. It's not a generic wood panel background where you place items on it.

62
Not worth the time and money. Too many excellent ones already on the websites.

Why do I need to contact Ink and Elm? They bought the backgrounds and are printing them on vinyl as photography backgrounds. Are they doing something wrong? My question is if I can buy such a background and put a still life in front of it and upload it to the stock websites.

I sell editorial images on SS much better than on Alamy. But where do I find my ranking on the Fotolia website or Adobe website? I get as little as 0.25cents for a download.

General Stock Discussion / Backgrounds
« on: October 02, 2018, 04:08 »
I need a background with a blue sky and snowfall. I found some on Ink and Elm. I also found one on eBay sold from China. I was thinking if I could paint that by myself onto a blue background and so I looked on SS to see what backgrounds they are having. How that looks like. I was astonished to see some images on SS which Ink and Elm must have bought for printing them on a vinyl background. Can I buy this background from Ink and Elm to items in front of it and sell it on the microstock websites. Nearly the whole background with the sky and the snow would be visible. Isn't that like stealing someone's art  even though I have not bought, downloaded and used their image? On eBay the seller has bought two different backgrounds and stitched them together as one. I do not want to get into trouble and I'm sure the photographer who took the background will notice that the background is his/her photo. I also saw bokeh images as vinyl the backgrounds which were clearly bought on the microstock websites.

General Stock Discussion / Re: German agencies
« on: October 02, 2018, 03:19 »
You are right Pauws99. They are more direct. More to the point and time saving. However, I got a really rude email from Westend61. And no,  I'm not angry because I didn't get in. Zoonar wrote a very, very kind reply.  It's a different writing style. To British ears German language sounds very hard even if they speak English. However, I find them to be completely rude in German shops. I understand that they might not like to do this low paid job but I really hate going shopping in Germany.

Doesn't Eyeem upload to Alamy? They are not a German agency are they? I thought that maybe some German companies do prefer to deal with a German speaking agency rather than an English speaking one.
Do agencies like Zoonar provide the tax form on their website just as SS etc. do? I don't really want to waste my time with non selling agencies. I just thought that maybe the German food images would maybe sell better on a German website. They don't sell well on the other websites but maybe that's because the food is the speciality of only one country.

Is it worth it to upload to German agencies if I do take German food photos? If yes, which ones are the best? Do I have to duplicate images and write title and keywords in German language.

DepositPhotos / Re: DeposhitPhoto - New rejection reason
« on: October 01, 2018, 02:52 »
I get that rejection reason from Adobe far too often. The joke is that 3 of the images rejected for no commercial value are my bestsellers on other agencies. One of them sells 6 times every month on one website. Depositphoto rejected a lot of images that had been accepted everywhere else when I join them. As if they thought I'm a totally new, and I need to have some rejections otherwise it would look weird. However, I joined them only after have been on the other websites for about 2 years.

I had to write to them because they didn't review editorial photos. After that I got the same email, they reviewed them but new editorial photos are again not reviewed. Sales are also getting less and less.. I don't upload there any longer. Waste of time.

74
I thought people photos are the big sellers. If you don't sell well on SS or Adobe it's a waste of time.

75
I never sold well on Fotolia at all. As if they had forgotten to put my images on their website. Suddenly, in September, my images started selling. However, very, very big drop of sales on SS.
