I'll assume you have both read this? https://webhostingmedia.net/http-error-406-not-acceptable/
Odd that everything is fine for others? Have you tried a different browser? Are you using a bookmark, which could have extra data included. Try something simple like... https://submit.shutterstock.com/dashboard
Yeah, once again, SS support leaves us in the dark. I thought that new contact us, advocacy program was supposed to help? Personally I don't write to support and haven't for many years. I could talk to my plants or my fish and get better answers.
Hi Uncle Pete, I believe you are talking about photos. In my case it is video only. As far as I know, video in SS is not uploaded through dashboard and it is not dependent on any browser. You need to use a file transfer software like Filezilla, as I have done for years. But in the last 5/6 weeks Filezilla cannot make connection with SS, in my case

No, currently on less than half what I'd normally make in a month from Shutterstock. The reason I'm questioning what you're saying is that "shutterstock has CLOSED acceptance of new videos/images..." is a big thing. Like massive... headline news. But unless you can provide some kind of evidence that they have, then it's just not true. Please tell me you're not basing such a claim just on the fact that you're having all your content rejected?! That would be like me submitting five videos, having five videos accepted and then starting a thread saying that "Shutterstock are now accepting 100% of all content submitted".
I have a similar experience to the OP. In the last few months, for VIDEO at SS there was this thing widely reported of batches with 30 to 50% of files rejected without any logical reason (Often sequentially, like the first 12 rejected, the other accepted). But it was only a matter of resubmitting and they would all be accepted. But lately I have had a couple of batches with 100% rejections and then rejected again. After that I cannot upload to SS anymore, just cannot make connection through Filezilla. The funny thing is that with ADOBE I had for the first time a whole batch rejected (hardly any rejections before) and not one single sale in March and April. I generally had 15-20 videos sold each month. Finally I had a batch totally rejected at POND 5 (never ever had a single rejection there, they simply do not review files). Not a big problem because Pond 5 for me is dead and buried. But there is certainly something going on, and that is not surprising because of the virus

I have had the same problem for over a month. Contacted support, they tried to help, but no solution found. To be honest I am not really willing to upload under the actual conditions, most agencies don't seem to be wanting new videos

I have already posted this on SS forum, but got no reply so far. Since I remember that contacting SS help is mission impossible, can anyone tell me if you have experienced something similar?
"I have been trying for more than a couple of weeks to upload video files to SS using Fliezilla, as I have done for years. But I cannot establish a connection. I get the following message: Response: - Files must be less than 4GB. Larger files will be rejected with a 426 Operation Not Permitted error. Response: 220 Shutterstock FTP Site Command: AUTH TLS
This is before I have uploaded any files at all. Can anyone help?"

I only do video, no photos, so things might be a bit different. Sales are certainly heavily affected, actually at the moment SS apparently is not even reviewing stuff, and for the first times Adobe rejected plenty of stuff, never happened before. Also, not one single sale at Adobe for 3 weeks, absolutely unheard of, as if they have closed shop

Nice! Looking forward to a trusted review from you! [/quote] Thanks, I have contacted some dealers here in Europe to purchase one, but I believe it will take some time because of the virus

Interesting in depth series on the mini but TBH i would put my "same price" money to a Zino or a Xiaomi just and only because the 4K output.
2k / 1080p is way too low to compete others in stock if not shooting super extra rare unique aerial content. It migth actually exclude content from buyer's search?
Thank you, good points, the lack of 4k is very limiting for stock. I do like a lot the features of the ZINO 2. I will get one as soon as this virus thing will be over

No idea how to succeed in YT and what level is considered "succesful". 2k views was $0,02something some years ago for Greece. And it was a pushed full edited video embedded through most local news sites. Duh! But for sure don't fall to the paid or "free" subscribers views and likes system. Seems the same as stock uplaod, title description tagging ready but not really. Too many parameters, worse algorithms than stock search, many things to dig and learn. From intro to outro to cards, end screens, playlists, geotagging, interacting with others blah blah blah... Take note that viewer's interests and mostly viewers age is a critical factor. You might share gorgeous travel footage or wise opinions but fake, sillyness and drama wins...
Do it for fun, if people follow, good. If not, again, it's cool. You broadcast your message.
I think your last line is very good advice. Though I do hope to get monetized at some point.
I checked your video and I liked several things about it. You can produce really good footage and you are excellent at talking to the camera. But you should edit it differently: the first 15 seconds of a video are by far the most important. You need to hook the viewer, or he will click away. The hook in the video is after more than 1:30, when you start talking and explaining what the video is about. It took me about 5 months to get monetized when I started my channel. You will get there no problem. Don't expect t become rich quickly: YT is a loooong term game to build brick after brick. First of all you must enjoy doing it a lot. It is interesting if you have something to sell and to promote, as YT gives a huge amount of visibility. YT money in itself is very little money, unless you have over 100,000 subs

Hey everyone
Have just started doing some color correction and grading of the video from my sony a7III, but shutterstock rejects most of it.
Settings : 4k XVAC 100 MBps
Editing : Premiere - mostly saturation, exposure, contrast and adding some color on the highlights and shadows. Exporting in H264 at 100mbps with max bitrate 200mbps
Where am i going wrong? I've heard the video from the a7iii is very detailed and editable

I agree with others: SS video rejections are totally, absolutely random. 80% of rejections get accepted when you resubmit them, and the remaining few will get accepted the third time. Encoding at 100 MBps is fine, but if you are getting a max bitrate, you are using Variable Bit Rate. You should be using Constant Bit Rate instead, still at 100

Yes, I agree - the aperture makes a big difference. However, it seems the sweet spot for sharpness is around F4 and down at F11 it gets pretty soft. So I was trying to balance getting moving items still in my photos with the smooth video and keeping the aperture around F4! I did take some dusk shots and good pretty sharp results with a shutter speed of 1 second. Any slower than that and I did see motion blur in my photos. So you are probably right about the still shots at 1/50th being OK. I was in Hawaii with the drone and so it was very bright. I used the ND16 with polarizer and usually ended up with 1/50th second at F2.8 or F4 - somewhere around there. Perhaps the ND8 would have been a better choice. Still learning every day!
Steve
I was going to reply to your first question, but Increasing difficulty said exactly was I was going to say and I perfectly agree with all he said. The only small difference is that I use two ND+polirizer filters: a ND 16 for most situations in video, and a ND64 for time lapses and video in extremely bright situations
