That's amazing that they could earn that sort of money on those images. Does anyone else here sell on etsy?

Does anyone know how long it will be open? I would like to have a shot but I want to put some work into preparing some images.
From their facebook page : "There is no set deadline for applications at this time."

Thanks Mir, I couldn't find it.

Well done to have that many done! I only have 460 on SS and up to 600 on some (the ones that accept everything  ;) ) I need to work harder  :o ;D

Hey guys,

So I'm pumped, I've reached the threshold of $500 US lifetime earnings on Shutterstock. They sent me an email confirming that I get a raise... subscription images now $0.33 per DL instead of $0.25. Woot! EXCEPT, my very next sale came in at 25 cents. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a delay? Will they fix it? Do I really need to start the long process of contacting them??? (groan). (Still pretty pumped about reaching this milestone! In under a year of uploading... I know its peanuts but hey, I'm happy)

Thanks,
Rachel

Congratulations, I haven't made it there yet, hopefully not too far off! Do you mind me asking how many images you have managed to upload in that time?

There is still a problem with figures. The three agencies I have noticed are Shutterstock, Bigstock and iStock. Look at the number of downloads and Microstockr has fewer recorded. I haven't checked any other agencies.

No idea how long we have to submit? A few days, a week, a month?

I loved it but I'm out too. There are too many incorrect tallies to totally rely on it alone. I have still been tracking my own sales the whole time I've used it. What I did love was that it alerted me to the sales but it's very unreliable and buggy as many have said. I couldn't complain while it was free but I will just have to go back to checking each site myself. Thank you for the time I did get to use it for free!
It's still early days for me with microstock, under two years, so I'm not earning enough to justify it anyway.

Has this broken again for everyone else? None of the scripts seem to be working so the page looks terrible!

General Stock Discussion / Re: Black and white Images
« on: August 09, 2017, 03:27 »
Out of interest do people upload black and white images to stock sites? I presume its not done. I often do black and white for portarits as attached. I guess one could always upload two copies.
I did upload both versions of one of my more popular images when I started, not really knowing if I should but the sepia version sells about a quarter as much as the colour. i think I read that I shouldn't and so have not done it again.

I had no $ increase on Microstockr Pro other than on the 20th when they report past sales.

Deymos.HR's scripts are here:

https://gist.github.com/deymosD/

Shutterstock.EnhanceDashboard.user.js - allows moving (and temporarily removing) divs on the dashboard and lists 10 most recent sales (no earnings anymore, sadly)
Shutterstock.NewEarnings.user.js - fixes earnings table
Shutterstock.FixKeywords.user.js - enables copy/paste of keywords.

easily modifiable. :)

Thanks for the links, that has fixed my broken list of the last ten downloads. I'm very happy :)

« on: July 06, 2017, 17:48 »
Zoomis go down every month because they show only for certain period. So zooms go down at the beginning of every month, jesus.
Wrong actually as it reports an annual period (plus 1 month) currently Period : 01 Jul 2016 to 05 Jul 2017  depending where you look. So if you are going to start invoking jesus get it right.....I thought the forum was to help people out?

Thank you! My thoughts exactly!

Mine went down slightly when I reached 12 months because you are only seeing 12 months at a time. My first month had more zooms than the current month.

Deymos told (on the SS forum) that Shutterstock has forbidden him to publish new updates of the scripts

Oh, I thought he just couldn't speak about them on the forum, I missed where he was not allowed to publish them. SS must be feeling very inadequate for them to even care.

I'm wondering if there is an update for the script for downloads. It has stopped working for me a while ago and I really miss it. The SS latest downloads is garbage. Just a quick glance at Deymos' script and you see instantly if there's been any downloads.

Off Topic / Re: Stop Complaining

I've never heard the term 'inner circle' countries.

It's a means of categorisation developed by the linguist Braj Kachru in dividing the globe into convenient sectors according to the degree of English usage. For example the 'inner circle countries' are countries where the dominant (or first) language is English - eg Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, England. The 'outer circle countries' are nations in which many were English colonies and so English plays a major role in some aspects of peoples lives (government use, educational use) - eg Singapore, the Philippines, South Africa, India, Pakistan. The 'expanding circle countries' are ones where English is regarded as a foreign language - eg Japan, Korea, Russia, China, most of Europe.

I can't remember who kindlyh pointed me to this clip on that subject:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om7O0MFkmpw

That was quite amusing. Good educational value to.

I wouldn't normally correct anyone on a forum but too meaning also has a double 'o'. Sorry, just couldn't help myself 😂😂😂

It's now showing, I will be glad to see the end of Photodune, they weren't worth the hassle for me.

My balance has been reset to $0 but I haven't received a notification of payment yet. I also checked my PayPal account and there's nothing there as yet.

It's also broken from here, but upload seems to work OK, and I haven't noticed any decline on sales.
Of course I can't see the sales on the contributor page, but the phone app is working OK.

I can upload via FTP but can't find them on the home page to finalise categories, etc.. I don't have the app. I will try to find it.

Edit: Found it and have finalised my uploads... Thanks!

Seems it's not broken for everyone. Maybe they're trying to shut off uploads for a while  :o
