Is anyone else having trouble with the page loading. The only thing that is showing for me is my earnings and the added script for downloads. I'm trying to upload some images but it won't show up on the page.

If I delete a photo from a collection, I wont lose it totally from lightroom will I?

You can right click and "remove from collection" but don't click on the photo and hit delete or it will delete it completely.

I have probably uploaded 50 files in the last 12 months, so I am not that surprised. And the 2 cent downloads dońt motivate me to upload more.

All agencies prefer the active uploaders.

I have also stopped uploading. I noticed a 1c sale in the latest report!! Although they usually just beat SS for me.

I love using the app but I've just noticed some figures are wrong. Tallies for some images from iStock are way out... at first I thought it would be iStock's fault but I've just noticed Bigstock has a wrong balance also. Just one particular image I went back and counted the number of downloads on the site (9), the app says only 2.

Has anyone else noticed wrong figures for downloads?

4000 files, 72 dollars. Below payment Threshold.

OUCH!   That's terrible!  Especially knowing the quality of your portfolio.   I haven't checked mine yet, but not too hopeful if this is what you got.  Really does look like the end is near for istock.

I'm also shocked! With under 500 files I made half of what you did and I only have an average port. I also average 60c per download. I've only been contributing for 14 months so that must have something to do with it. I'm not saying my earnings are good... far from it.

600 images portfolio.

Jan: 23 sales for 5$
Feb: 12 sales for 3$
Mar: 6 sales for 0.83$

I guess it's time to close my account before I have to pay for them hosting my pictures.

Did you download your royalty statement? Those are not your only sales are they?! I have less than 600 images and have more sales than that.

My portfolio is mainly travel/nature/wildlife, thus I'm not expecting big figures...but the trend is something to worry about, especially for the average 0.14 RPD and low volume

I have a little bit of everything also, I'm still surprised that is your only sales, including subscriptions, Getty, etc. I only get a handful of credit sales each month.

DepositPhotos / Re: rejection rate for photos

I find their rejections are all over the place. Images accepted everywhere are rejected and often they just reject the whole batch. Not sure why I bother with them really.

Well, it IS a nice surprise... apparently we will be paid in May!!

In case anyone missed the email... if it's under $20 they will only pay by PayPal so make sure your account is up to date.

14000+ files are gone! I'm top author with empty port  ;D

I can understand them deleting mine but when it's their top authors it's just beyond belief!

Mine is finally gone but has anyone received their payout yet?

Well they haven't deleted mine yet but I'm pretty sure they will as I only have just over 100 photos and have only had a few sales. I had only just started uploading there but I have had a recent sale.

I've had another one just now. Same place one second apart.

I've always wondered what's going on there because it happens to me every now and then. I also thought it might be someone avoiding an EL.

I came across this a couple of days ago... disregard the first half page. I'm not saying the pics are bad quality but I don't understand why you would do this.
https://www.shutterstock.com/search?page=1&searchterm=lapwing%20plover&sort=popular&image_type=all&safe=true&search_source=base_search_form&language=en

If you find that strange, how about this: https://www.shutterstock.com/g/netsay?search_source=base_gallery&language=en&page=1&sort=newest&safe=true

27 pages of clouds in a port of 2,010 pages of similars.

That really takes the cake! After the clouds it's exactly the same with a grey background, then goes to a white background and on and on...

General Stock Discussion / Re: Adobe stock
« on: March 25, 2017, 06:51 »
I joined Adobe stock 3 months ago. Now with some 400 images, I earn around 150 euro a month. It is a bit disappointing because I get twice as much at 123rf, with the same amount of images. Looking at the Poll results on the right and comparing numbers for 123 and Fotolia, I was hoping for a better result. But it is better than nothing, I guess..
Wow! That's impressive, I have about that many images but make a fraction of that. Would love to see your port but if I were you I wouldn't share ;)

My images already get copied a lot. I draw people and animals and I often see crippled versions of my images under Similar images in Shutterstock search results. It is like a plague  :( But sincerely, I am surprised to do so well at 123rf, as people here generally report lower earnings at this agency. I suppose vectors sell better than photos there? I dont have the same success with other agencies though - Dreamstime is doing poorly for me, iStock was never good for me even in the "better days", Depositphotos was poor (but I stopped uploading there ages ago..). It seems certain portfolio may fit customers at certain agency and I was lucky with 123.

Well, you're obviously smart AND talented. Good luck, I hope you continue to do well.

I still have 22 images "Images not on sale." What about this? Don't understand correctly this email from Alamy..
The few that I have "not on sale" were ones I had forgotten to put a title on. If some part of the mandatory section is missing it won't go on sale until you have filled in that information. It's either keywords or the caption. The other information on the mandatory section is by default.

It also must be acceptable for the buyer to decide whether or not it has to be editorial because that is optional.

My figures are now available.

Edit: Ah, now I see there is a new thread.

I did notice another image with some random word that I removed but didn't investigate further. Marijuana really got my attention because there is no way I could accidentally add it. I will take more notice in future but as you say there's nothing that can be done about it.

Thanks for your replies.

Out of curiosity, what was the main subject in the photo? Don't suppose it was marijuana by any chance? Or some kind of plant perhaps?
No, boats at sunset! Very far removed in fact and not a tree in sight. I just find it very weird and know I didn't do it.
