Thanks Sue. I added a couple of my longer titles as multi-word keywords and those files are now showing up in the results. It's a little annoying, and I have no idea why some files were showing up fine without doing this, but it seems to have resolved the issue.

I've been adding images to Fine Art America, but can't figure out their keywording. Some of my images show up in searches, but others do not appear even if I type the full multi-word titles.
I was going to reach out to them, but wanted to check here first to see if I'm missing a box somewhere or if my keywords need to be formatted differently in FAA vs stock sites. Am I missing something?

Most sales on DT aren't the percentage sales that involve levels that go up based on increasing numbers of sales, most are subscriptions and the contributor price is a fixed $0.35. I do get occasional $2.00 sales and every once in a while something more, but most of their buyers use the subscription plan.
DT did increased their commissions 10% starting today; I haven't had a sale yet, so my numbers are slightly out of date.
You can opt out of SR-EL sales. It's a box you check/uncheck when you submit files.

How long did Dollar Photo Club last? Its unfortunately/fortunately before my time, so Ive only heard about it anecdotally here.

If this was about encouraging ongoing contributors, theyd just be changing the existing tiers to reset each January, but theyre also separately lowering commissions. Less than a year after Adobe raised commissions for most folks, Shutterstock is severely cutting them. Theyve got to be really struggling to slash in this way.

Roger shoot what your think is interesting . If you find your subject interesting most likely others will too and buy it. The boot picture below I have sold over 3000 times. You just don't know what will sell. Good luck.. Stock is Fun...W.Scott McGill
Cowboy boot breaking a glass jar? I'm completely intrigued. What kind of uses do you find the photo in? On its face it seems like it would be very niche! Nice!

When filling out US taxes, how do you all handle the Payer Taxpayer Identification Number field for companies that don't send you a 1099?
Normally, in these cases, I can find the TIN in investment prospectuses, but Dreamstime isn't publicly traded.
The software I'm using for my taxes is insistent that they must have a TIN, and my effort to fill the field with a bunch of zeros was rejected.

Thanks for the good read. My December was disappointing. First time since 2016 I didnt make payout on Shutterstock. My port is fairly small, about ~500 (primarily landscapes and architecture) and a typical SS month is $50-100, but its still disappointing. There are definitely far fewer Single sales than there used to be.
On the plus side, AS continues to improve. Now, if only I could crack the nut of videos folks want to buy. Shooting video of the things I shoot stills of does not seem to be working.

Mat - I've had the auto keyword tool automatically replace titles and keywords on images. It happens on my phone and tablet. It does not occur on my desktop.

Unless something has changed with Adobe, you cant add/remove keywords after an image has been posted.

Not taking things down unless youre the copyright holder requesting it doesnt make sense. I understand their concern about people making mistakes, but dont they also have a responsibility to the customer? If I want to purchase a photo and there are two identical photos on two different accounts, which one am I supposed to buy?

I can't get over how he'd admit in public that he didn't read the T&C.
However, if it's true that this sort of use at that price is legal SS 'premiere' clients, SS is even worse than I've always thought.
NB, often contracts are deliberately fuzzy and couched in legalistic terms which mean they are much more open to interpretation on the company's side than we could ever imagine (and not a mm on our side). Also there can often be information hidden on other places on a site.
Let's be honest here: who knew that you could get as little via SS on a merchandise deal like this?
NB: Nude Beach? New Brunswick? Not Binary? Naked Brunette? Numb Bum? New Basket? Nice Bucket? Never Blind? Natural Breasts?
mm: military maneuvers? masked marauder? munchkin massacre? midnight meal? made man? mystery meat?
Your short forms are hard to follow.
Sorry to non English speakers. NB = Nota bene = note well Mm = millimetre
I have only lived in English speaking places he have also wondered about N.B. before, but never thought to pull out my phone and look it up in the past. Thanks!

One relevant item - Adobe/Fotolia heavily weights your first seven keywords compared to the rest of them. I don't know how significant the difference is in sales, but I make sure what I think are the most important keywords are among the first seven.

I've received a bunch of Web-EL approval requests from Dreamstime, but I don't really know what 50 credits translates to in English -- their website says an EL on a Level 1 file is $17. Is that the net for the seller, or is that total then split between the seller and Dreamstime?
I'm a bit confused by the requests as is. Most of them are similar images, which makes sense, but a few are completely random files that are unrelated and have never been downloaded before.

I make about the same at Big Stock as Dreamstime, so not lots, but I do receive regular sales. Ive continued to upload to it, and its a pretty simple interface to submit images. Ive never managed to get videos submitted, but my portfolio is primarily images anyway.

That exciting feeling when you discover one of your images in the wild... at your front door, in a local political campaign door stuffer that has probably made it into 10,000+ homes in the area, and then realize it's never sold for more than $2.48. I'm alternating between excited and annoyed. It's a bit strange.
