I'd remove at least 'coast', 'sea' and 'seashore' as they are not visible on the photo. You can mention it in the description if this place is near the sea but a buyer looking for coast and sea pictures will get quite annoyed if your photo comes up.

Wow that really sucks that some people actually do that and get away with it. Hope SS gets back to you quickly.

The hard truth is anyone can take a technically sound photo. A decent DSLR on full auto takes care of the exposure and focus for you and if you shoot in good light noise won't be an issue. TADA a photo SS will accept.
Hence the flood of snap shots coming into the SS collection. Unfortunately there has been a rash of free image sites crop up in recent years. Unsplash, pixabay, pxhere etc. etc. etc. all providing comparable quality images for free.
"Why download an image for free when you can get the same quality...FOR MONEY!" as a marketing strategy, doesn't work.
Those free sites won't go away and will only get bigger so the only way SS and the like can compete is to close the flood gate and curate a collection of high quality images you can't get for free. That and the liability insurance of having model and property releases.
SS is obsessed with having the largest collection in the universe though which has the side effect of making finding a good pic harder for buyers and if good enough is good enough and they don't care so much about releases, the free sites win.
Any suggestions on how to take down Unsplash, pixabay, pxhere and the likes to force them to close for good? They're clearly driving the prices down, and eating from our sales.

Would be good also to check page rankings for the 2 different batches of images based on relevant search terms.
If you do your metadata in photoshop, it keeps the order of the keywords, it doesn't rearrange them alphabetically.
...thanks, a nice tip, never did keywording in PS... does it really preserve the order? so you do it with File ->File Info -> Basic or IPTC
Yep I always do mine in there out of habit. File>File info> basic and then you've got to fill out document title, description and keywords (each separated by a coma). Just checked on my last batch on AS, and the order of keywords was kept as it was written in photoshop.

It could also be because of the way your assets are key-worded as AS uses the first keywords as most relevant.
...thanks for the note but it was before like that with FT, so AS is using the same principle? Because for SS keywords order is irrelevant... they all arranged alphabetically... this is how I upload them to AS as well, never spent a bit of time to rearrange them, too much efforts... they still sell... Do you think it makes big difference in selling?
Ah ok, didn't know FT was already working the same way. Not sure if that makes a big difference, but I'm guessing it moves your photos up in the page rankings, so they are not buried under the rest, and get more exposure for clients who give up searching after 10 pages.

Closed My account after a very long time. theres way to Much BS from them. They rejected a Bunch of Cell Images that sell...., then I asked them about it and they said Quote..."They don't accept Cellphone Images" I then wrote back and told them That was BS Because they had accepted 200 Of Mine and A ton Of others Cell Images. After very few Stupid Emails I said Close My account and basically FU after way to Many years and NO....I would not wait 45 days for them to do it....And I said keep the Money they owe Me. ........yes they kept the money for the cheap Fools they are.
They closed it in 7 Days!!. Im so over sites that think they control what people want and need based on there Bias and short sighted attitude.
Seems like they've changed their mind : https://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/stockimo.aspYou can upload cell photos with their app Stockimo. I do like them thou, haven't had a refund so far and RM / editorial sales are quite good - between 20$ and 70$ per photo, with a few exceptions at 150$.

Haven't encountered this issue yet. You could try uploading via ftp (with filezilla for instance) in the meantime?

Yeah it seems they are reviewing some old photos that were rejected, have seen a few 'newly approved' that were rejected 2 years ago..

What seems to be going on now is, presenting an every changing selection of images, mixed in with some total crap. Almost like (oops conjecture) they are making the better images interwoven with plain boring junk, to make the better ones IMHO stand out. [/quote] That's what I also meant with change of algorithm As the old adage says, ''one man's trash is another man's treasure'' or even 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. I think it's a good thing that it's always changing, it might give more views to buried content in the end.

Just a thought, maybe they've changed the algorythm and it now works a bit like Alamy, based on views (in search results), clicks (zoomed view of the image) and sales. The more views, clicks and sales, the more it goes up in ranking, but if you've got lots of views and no clicks or sales, then you go down in ranking, so photos in the first results are actually the ones that buyers want.

^^ Yes! but alive for tens of thousands of noobs and weekend snappers....There is absolutely no doubt that SS is finished as far as serious photography and earning money. The heydays of Jon are long gone, the once so helpful and knowledgable Admin is replaced by suits and city-twatts knowing absolutely nothing about the creative world and even less about photography!but they are under the severe preassure of constantlly having to produce results for their shareholders no matter what.
I know so many people with ports of 20,30,40000 files in their portfolios and EVERY single one of them is down a staggering 70% and have been for over a year now!
The once so hailed and praised do good agency is today nothing more then a flea market ( people here thats been with them for 8 years or more know exactly what Im talking about)
Yeah and these weekend snappers will never reach payout as they'll get buried after a few sales... meaning that SS will get to keep the money

Sounds great but am I missing something? how do I select images from my Adobe online images to add to a portfolio page? When I click to start, it just shows the first of 183 pages, sorted by date - how can I gather images for India, trees, etc, etc without having to page thru thousands of images?
Hey Mat, Would it be possible to add a search bar in the dashboard, so we can filter our photos by keyword and add them more easily to collections, instead of going one by one, on hundreds of pages? Cheers!

Hey guys, So I was doing a reverse image search on Google for some of my photos that I both sell on stock websites and on Saatchi Art . I came across 2 websites that offer these photos for free, with no watermark, and they do mention Saatchi in the description of my images. So I was wondering 1- Did Saatchi get hacked? 2- is there any way to report these websites? Here's the ones I found, in case you'd like to check for your photos. Open them at your own risk, they might not be virus free. - https://www.topsimages.com- https://www.picturesboss.comGuess I'll take those images down from Saatchi Art for now.

Same issue here, adobe stock, pond5 and videohive don't work on the iphone version of the app. Would also be nice to have Alamy back, think it's been removed from the list.

This email address doesn't seem legit, maybe try messaging iStock about it... and you should probably delete the document if you've downloaded it on your machine.

I don't think sending files to multiple sites is related to blockchain, well not just yet anyway, maybe in a few years. I'm guessing that's just another service they provide. Also found this link with more info, I don't think they have launched: https://ico.ipstock.com/
