I simply can't login to both istock or esp system, deepmeta works fine, does anybody else have similar problems. By the way march earnings released and it is very bad as always. Lots of pennies worth sale.

iStockPhoto.com / July Statement is available (Wrong alarm)
« on: August 12, 2017, 14:47 »

edit: Sorry for the confusion. I realize that, somehow I did corrupt my deepmeta cache, and it  downloads last months statement again.

It is a bit better than my horrible June. I know nobody is excited about IS statements, I just want to remind :).

Sorry again.

Please delete this post.

Istock are selling licenses for literally 1c or less. Why do you want to join them? Go for fotolia, shutterstock,  123rf, dreamstime but have the self respect to leave istock alone would be my advice.

I know many people that want to join Shutterstock but they can't apply because they require a passport. For example in my case, they did not accept national ID+ driving license (international) + some utility bills. Getting a passport is expensive and need time in my country, so i will get one if I really need one.

« on: February 20, 2017, 08:11 »
Hello, thanks for the great app.

Is there a way to check the file status, accepted, rejected etc.? Am I missing something like a fetch data button etc.?

Or do we need to check it on ESP website?

Thanks.

How about the old big space for keywords, so we can see them all at once?
Now is very difficult and time consuming.
Thank you!

I also think that is important. Pasting and removing keywords is very difficult to that single line keyword box.

Other than that, I think I love the new version too.

Suppose that you have 750 images in your portfolio and one buyer with a yearly subscription plan bought all of them.

750*0.02= $15(10.5$ after taxes) or  maybe 750*0.03= $22.5 (15.75$) after taxes.

This is the value of giving your 750 image port to a buyer on Istock.

No.

With their new announced price plan. Here are some examples.

If someone gets a yearly plan to get 750 images from the essential collection and buy your image, you earn $0.03.

If someone gets a monthly plan to get 250 images from the essential collection and buy your image, you earn $0.12.

Is it worth?

Remember this is not even the worst case scenario. They are going to be discounting on top of this and we have no guarantee of getting anything more than 2c per download. Realistically, going on may years experience working with IStock/ Getty assuming the minimum possible compensation for each download will get you closest to what we will actually be earning after discounts and creative accounting.

Correct. Also, there are taxes etc. I think they left that two cents for us to pay the taxes. They love us.

I think we must pay Istock $100 every time they sold our images for $0.x etc. Even that plan could not save them from bankrupt since their CEO no idea what she is doing.

By the way,  it is funny we discuss their new pricing plan for pages. They simply telling us "go another place" we want to close down Istock and continue only with Getty.

I am sure that in 2018 they will pay $0.001 etc. at most (0.001 because I don't think their talented IT department can handle smaller floating points).

They love free money, they get the huge percentage, and they can't even report the sales correctly (forget about real-time statistics, which is very easy for any programmer team* these days) or build a solid app for contributors, they just don't care.

*Supposing they are using their hand for writing code

« on: August 23, 2016, 10:43 »
Same here 10 days, no downloads, something is very wrong or maybe  they decide to report credit sales one month later too.

You know reporting image sales need lots of computing power. Do you know every time istock calculates a sale percentage for us, 10 gigawatts of power  wasted and a star fall in the sky...

Yes it is possible,  in the last months I also have $1.0, and $3.96 sales via thinkstock but they are rare.

I always suggest istock to start using computers. Hand calculation is so 70s, there are decent computers under $1000.

Probably they will come with a new price list in a few days so they take precaution.

Credit sale .... $0.56
Sub sale ....   - $0.18 (yes we pay to the customer)
Partner pr sale...$0.09

Hello, I think they will be go worse every month since their interface is very slow.

They can not even calculate  sub sales correctly. April sales appearing under march and some missing days. And their calculating process is the slowest, it takes 25 days for them to calculate prior months sup+partner program sales. I am aware that calculating sales and percentages by hand is not easy but they can hire more mathematicians or use computers instead.
