General - Stock Video / Re: Fujifilm X-E4 240fps« on: November 30, 2021, 17:58 »On this page there is a YouTube video that actually displays that that the camera delivers a pretty bad result at 240 fps. I guess there is, since most of lifestyle shots are slowmotion, but mostly just half the speed, 240fps is 8X slower, a bit overkill imho. Also if you can do 60fps or 120fps, Twixtor can deliver further nice results, even for just 30fps, not in all cases thou. 28

I guess 240fps in X-E series must be a gimmick. Looks upscaled to me. For a price and for what it is I would be happy if it had even 60fps at proper quality.

Adobe Stock / Re: Payout query« on: November 16, 2021, 16:05 »And be advised it takes a week or more for them to transfer the money. Used to be just days. Not sarcastic, it is annoying because there's a lot of delay, in comparison to IS and SS, especially IS always seems to land in my Paypal faster than expected. But the other two things are positive. 30
Adobe Stock / Re: Payout query« on: November 16, 2021, 09:38 »And be advised it takes a week or more for them to transfer the money. Used to be just days. Yup, really annoying, I suppose it's the (counter) effect of the lowest payout threshold in the market and payout at any request time. 31
Software / Re: ON1 Photo RAW, best alternative to Lightroom and Photoshop?« on: October 31, 2021, 12:34 »
Besides LR and PS, when shooting raw on Fuji I tend to use Capture One as it seems to handle those better, less harsh and more natural results, basically no learning curve also.

Wirestock seems rather popular these days for such a thing. Heard a lot of bad things about Blackbox in relations with contributors.

Wonder if they are going to enforce the same thing on buyers, what are they trying to do, erase common sense?

Photography Equipment / Re: Justifying Buying New dSLR mirrorless Camera and Lenses for the MS Business« on: August 16, 2021, 06:11 »Hey Folks, There is no mirrorless dslr, they are the opposite things, one takes pride in having mirror, the other in not having it. 10000$? No seriously 10000$? All Zeiss lenses for stock? If you upgraded a few years ago for the same amount your are good for the next 20 years or so. 37

Deep down I knew it's gonna be like this, we'll probably have a few more waves of these small approvals till September and in the end it's not going to even come close to the amounts we were told we could reach. It's not a bad deal, but the max estimated amounts were quite bait-ish.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: May stats« on: June 24, 2021, 06:03 »Wow! You got the doubled amount?!I've given up trying to understand the stats. That's right. You know what's really funny, all the sales numbers on each image are even numbers and the smallest number of sales is 2. So I guess my best regards to accounting 44
iStockPhoto.com / Re: May stats« on: June 23, 2021, 19:34 »I've given up trying to understand the stats. Yup, both downloads and money doubled up, that's how I reached cashout and was surprised by Paypal and invoice emails. I still have the old .txt file from the first report, I ran them both through Todayis20 and it is what it is, one is double the other. Guess it's just a common IS, this time it's good news thou 45

Anyone else noticed that they changed May sales report?
On 18th I got one report with less sales, now I downloaded the report again to find it almost doubled. The payment notification email got me confused so I had a look at the report again. 47

Microstock Services / Re: lost copyright with affiliates- agefotostock/easyfotostock« on: May 20, 2021, 12:33 »Ive been submitting pics directly to microstock agencies like SS, Adobe and Alamy for a year now. I'm not sure why are you bothered by it, you are into microstock to make money, not to stick your name to things, that's what galleries are for. Buyers are not obliged to display your name when they use photos, thou some do sometimes. Imagine if all the designs that include photos were slapped on with credits. That's really a common thing, take Wirestock or any random factory on microstock, everyone gets their money in the end and that's the only thing that matters, not making a name, you just hyper-supply goods, you are not building a trademark, and buyers couldn't care less anyway. The copyright remains yours at all times, a simple credit couldn't possibly reinforce that anyway. 49

Decent month, less than March but nothing unusual, still best earner. 50
