Are Caucasian people, people of color too?

Don't be a poopyhead.

No, really, I love photographing people but have very limited to none access to any other color.

I would advise against Nikon 3000 and 5000 series bodies because you are limited to G series lenses. In the long run this will be more expensive than going with 7000 series & up. You can get the excellent D7100 new with kit lens for around $800.00.

While I agree, I must notice that people have been using the "AF-S lenses only" argument against D3xxx and D5xxx series since the D40 came out, but when it comes to lens recommendations the very same people are fast to say "get the new AF-S/VRII version, it's sharper and focuses faster".
It'd say other things are a way better argument for not going the D3xxx/D5xxx route, there are lot of nice and not very expensive lenses with integrated AF to choose from these days that render that argument a bit absolete.

Sure if someone is into collecting a vast number of lenses, better get the body that supports as many as possible.

I personally find D5xxx series a total waste of money against D3xxx unless one really needs that screen. Hardware wise it's the same camera as equivalent D3xxx just more expensive while not even touching the real beneficial features of D7xxx series like secondary screen, AF motor, AF fine tune, dual control wheels etc...
Sensor differences are totally neglectable unless pushed to the very edge, where, I guess, very little stockers go, for obvious reasons.

I'm amazed, we've been waiting for two month so they can change to this brand new system and in the end we get a messed up .txt file. What is this, the MS-DOS era? As bad as it was before this it was way better and at least more modern.

Maybe try Xpiks, I've never had a problem with it and it's so easy to use.

Xpiks can upload photos to SS?
Yes, it's what I always use. It's free. You just need your FTP code and you're good to go. Just a warning in case it happens to you... I can't click to upload, I have to drag and drop... just a little fault for some reason.

I use Xpiks everyday but for some reason it got stuck in my head that on SS you can only upload videos over ftp.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Selling mobile pictures

I tried, don't even remember where, and got rejection for noise. Really? Of course there is noise, it's a confetti sized senzor, duh, what's the point of mobile stock if they don't ajdust their standards to what phone cameras are capable of. Nonsense.
I ain't gonna setup lighting just to shoot with phone, I'll shoot with proper camera.

Yes thanks, that worked, thou still very messy.

I was under the impression that there will be another link "Stats" under the "Royalties" link that would show thumbs and all...
So this is the sum for December and January? This is everything we didn't see all this time?

qHero and DeepMeta are actually independently developed to make the upload process easier, they are not developed by IS.
While using DeepMeta, the only thing that really slows me down is the useless IS curated dictionary or whatever they call it. I can't login in DeepMeta3 so I can't comment if it's any easier than it used to be, but by jusdging by the current ESP upload IS is still using that.

The only people who will benefit from ESP are Microsoft with increased sales of Excel and trainers in spreadsheet analysis.

I'm using OpenOffice and I couldn't figure out how to correctly import data before losing my nerv. Bunch of useless numerical data and mixed rows...

General Stock Discussion / Re: I am a happy Contributor
« on: February 22, 2017, 04:33 »
I am financially dependent and fulltime on stock photography for the last 18-20 years. Its ok but I can't say I am too happy about the micro industry at present. SS down from around $.80 per day to a meager $.30-40.
Adobe going up around 30%. DT is showing signs of coming alive.

My what some call Macro agencies are steady going up not by much but at leat moving upwards.

On the whole and all things considered competition this and that one has to be reasonably content.

Your daily earnings on SS are $0.30-0.40 or $30-40?

I still can't even log into DeepMetaV3, so there is that...

General Stock Discussion / Photos VS Final designs
« on: February 11, 2017, 10:20 »
I was wondering, do you deliver only raw photos (clean, retouched photos) or you create final designs with other graphic or text elements that complete the story? Speaking of conceptual photos obviously.
What could possibly sell better, or to put it in other words, do you think there are more designers looking for raw photos as elements or just customers looking for final products?

If in doubt submit as editorial, from your description it sounds like editorial stuff anyway.

It used to be 24h, now it's slower than Fotolia, 3-4 days and with a lot of bugs, the most annoying one being that previews of reviewed images are not appearing in the emails. It also takes much longer for images to settle in after approval.

I'm getting very inconsistent release rejections, same batch, same release, some go through some don't...

Still no invitation but managed to get in using email and reset method but DeepMetaV3 won't login using the same user/pass.

Have You tried login, on dm3, with account email ( not username )? Between my password reset and invitation email I logged with email and the new password on dm3 without any problem.

Yes, DeepMetaV3 still returns the same error for both email and username, some Internal server error 500.

I like the concept, seen some really nice ads utilizing it, even tried a couple myself, not very proud of them but realized a couple of things: Lens needs to have superb bokeh, you have to nail the right amount of defocusing depending on the distance and subject enough to make it look creamy but not too much to make the subject indistinguishable.
This, in my opinion, is just a bad execution, not enough defocus and ugly bokeh.

PhotoDune / Re: Anyone unworthy of Photodune yet?

Received my email yesterday, it seems they didn't like any of the three photos from my portfolio there, such a shame.

Still no email. It's interesting that Deepmeta news page about DeepmetaV3 changed from "coming out later today" to "coming soon".

General - Top Sites / Re: Fotolia no sales
« on: February 03, 2017, 16:56 »
My fotolia sales really suck lately. I't's just dead. I mean, I have daily sales, but not as much as I used to, despite new upload. On the contrary, sales at SS are really good with January beeing my best month with number of sales.

Yes that's right, I signed it just like everywhere else but as it seems only Fotolia is reducing it right away, per sale, others do it before they payout.

Actually this is great and a lot easier, still more clicks than SS but very nice, easy and fast. Good job.
Now, if I had thousands of photos I'd be angry for needing to revisit them all.
