That escalated quickly :o
I never imagined this post was going to keep going. I usually dont give up easily and I do feel bad for my wasted time/money but I decided there was no point in arguing over this.

...so I have redone the whole set with an acoustic guitar  ;D

Nope, just the word guitar, didnt even specify electric to be honest. Istock did reject them, but that I sortof expected. What if I have proof that its not a real fender, it a Chinese copy, it turned out:)

Oh well, will give it a try and some may be lucky to pass...btw note to people around here who might care: fender did not manage to copyright its guitars and the shapes as whole but did succeed to copyright headstocks of its guitars. Its exactly that part that gave it away that this is not a real one.

Way too much time invested in studying guitars today:)

HAve a nice one everyone,

I get it that getty has that policy but clearly there is evidence that fender is not a trademark. Oh how I wish contributors could go and open a discussion with reviewers and not have to wait for a month to get a reply and another one to get a replay to the answer...

Dear fellow microstockers,

I have a rather unique question. Many images from this set were rejected and to narrow down the reason i am posting the one that basically indicates what the intellectual /trademark rejection cause should be:

Is it the "fender guitar"?

As far as I know fender is not a trademark, not even the shape of it.

Appreciate any help,

To further support my theory I edited an image through catalog manager by adding another category and that image appeared after 1 hour. I bet the others will not appear even after couple of days but the guys reading and replying to emails we send them about problems we experience, take no notice.

I will wait another couple of hours maybe somebody actually wants to take a look into this and will make the website a better place for all of us by ensuring some other people wont have to waste 20 hours of their lives by adding and deleting files one-by-one two times.

If nothing happens, Ill just do as I said. What saddens me is the fact that we cant complain or point out problems to people that want to solve problems.

At least I am not alone. And the reply comes in automatically that I should wait 72 hours for changes to ...what? I mean i need to wait 72 hours after my pictures disappeared to reappear again and again and again?

I bet the guy replying didnt even look at the message properly just saw the "images not appearing" part and hit me with a standard "wait 72 hours".

Will delete them after they are activated and appear and will resend them with note to review-er: not letting good images go to waste because of a glitch, sorry:)

Hello guys,

Files uploaded 2 days ago that sold instantly on weekend have disappeared suddenly. When I check out my portfolio and sort by newest there are no images on the first page. I mean its a real pain as some of those are really nice images and even if SS clarifies the problem by the time they reactivate those images they will be doomed. So most likely I will have to delete and resend (as popularity is largely determined by downloads at the beginning).

It affects around 200 images, anyone else having this problem?

When I click on images that sold sunday night from this set, it says te image doesnt exist.

Everything has been said in this thread, you have your options on building your business laid down. How can we provide further assistance Mr.Ephoto?

You need somebody to invest? Here? - Not going to happen. If it is he would have contacted you by now and you two could have a private talk.

You need photos? Who is stupid enough to sell photos to you directly without having insurance that his work is being paid for every time you sell an image? Again, API and other options discussed above are the way to go.

At this moment it seems like you ought to become another stock agency. It might save you 3 exclusive millions.

Hello everybody,

Just registered to share my experiences:( Having the same issue.  Hope it isnt some sort of market split based on your location. Even if it is, there is nothing we can do just hope it will get better eventually.

Have a great day everyone,
